open. i'm not meant to live alone
Who: The TARDIS DW Cast (which now includes Alice) and you!
What: It's a housewarming party! And moving day. Come bug them.
When: 316 - 319
Where: Thor District
Rating: PG most likely. Will update if necessary.
Day 319
Perfect. The front doors to their new home in Thor would be easily recognized by anyone who ever knew the Doctor. It wasn't an ordinary front door - oh no. There were two doors, painted blue with small windows at the top. Even the porch light overhead had been changed to look like the light on top of the TARDIS' blue boxy self. Her St. John Ambulance sticker was back too, on the door without the white sign that included instructions. Perhaps it was strange to have a sign that read Police Public Call Box over a door to a building but it felt like home that way. Surely the others would agree.
Unfortunately the only thing she couldn't do was make it bigger on the inside. The technology just didn't work here. Oh well.
She stepped forward and pulled the doors open as they were meant to be. Welcome home, everyone. And welcome to everyone who wishes to visit because the doors are left open. Feel free to just wander on in. There's bound to be someone about to harass. Also, a plethora of kittens thanks to Six's curse.

/starts a new thread, whee
When he spots Eight with a strange woman, his eyebrows go up a bit. Moving on already, was he? Good for him... though he'll keep that observation to himself.]
Just how many people did we invite to this? I thought it was meant to be a small party.
Were you going to introduce me to your new friend?
Re: /starts a new thread, whee
[Ah yes, and the coat is here too. No he's not going to get over being embarrassed by that thing.]
Six, this is my new suitemate, Fiona Gallagher.
[He then turns to Fiona, giving her a "See? I told you so!" look.]
And this is another me. We've...sort of been going by numbers around here, so I just call him Six. He's a younger version of me.

[She looks this 'Six' guy up and down, before offering her hand for a shake. Just because somebody forgot to take his pills today, that doesn't mean she's gonna be rude.] Yeah, wow, that clears a lot up, thanks. [Sarcasm said with a smile.]
no subject
Quite alright, Fiona. [He was giving himself a hard time, not her. And he'll shake the hand she offers.] And very good to meet you. I can assure you he's telling the truth; from my perspective, he's an older version of me. I know it's a bit... strange, but you'll grow accustomed to it in time.
no subject
Where are the others anyway? [This is directed at Six.]
no subject
I'm guessing this all has to do with the whole Alien thing, which, just to remind everybody, I still haven't seen any proof on. [She addresses both of them at the same time, since, you know, they're apparently the same person. Manners first.]
no subject
Yes, I imagine he already told you we're a Time Lord. And I'm rather afraid I can't offer you any--normally I have two hearts, but the Gods of this place have seen fit to divest me of one of them. You'll either have to accept that we're telling the truth on your own, or decide we're all quite mad.
[Either way is fine by him, honestly... as long as she doesn't try to get them arrested or anything. He looks over her head slightly to direct his next words at his older self.]
Eleven's... about the place. You know how he is. [Way too energetic for his own good, though Six is pleased to see his other selves in better moods. Even if he'll never admit it.] I think I saw him with a pack of cards at some point. As for Nine, I've no idea.
[Sulking somewhere, in all probability.]
no subject
Oh well. Not the first time he's been thought of as insane.]
I'm a bit worried about Nine, but I know how he feels, so I'll leave him be.

Ask any question you like, Fiona.
no subject
Yes, by all means. Ask away.

[At this point, most of Fiona's skepticism is arbitrary; she wants to believe them, because it seems like the sort of fantastical thing that could be... fun to believe in, and a type of fun that wouldn't be selfish of her, even! But she hates being lied to, and has been so many times, that her wariness remains stubbornly in place almost as a defense mechanism.]
So... you're all the same guy, but at different points, and the numbers are the order... [She counts this off on her hands, a finger for each morsel of weird information.] Right?
no subject
Yes, you're right. And?
no subject
[Since she seems to want encouragement and all.]

[He stops a moment and shakes his head.] Actually, it's not that complicated at all, really.
You see, our people -- the Time Lords -- don't simply die as humans do. When our bodies are either worn out from old age, or gravely ill, or fatally wounded, we go through a process called regeneration.
Every cell in our bodies change, and we become a new man. Which is why Six here looks a lot different than myself. It's also why we have varying personalities.
no subject
Though he can't resist adding his two cents at the end.]
Precisely! That's exactly right. [As if there was a chance Eight would get it wrong.] And as careless as the gods here are about pulling people from their proper place in time and space, I really doubt they would be so foolish as to bring a younger you here, as you suggest. That would have potentially disastrous consequences, which even they should realize.
It's different for us because each one of my selves is so very different to the rest of me. We can meet, more or less safely, without the risk of blowing any holes in reality.
[This explanation is going so very well.]

I'm sorry, Fiona. Did we say something wrong?
no subject
Are you quite alright?

Well, you won't have to deal with too much "alien stuff". The gods saw fit to make us human while we're here.
And we're just called the Doctor. A bit difficult, what with there being five of us, so we've gotten into the habit of calling each other by, ah, numbers. In order of which incarnation we are.
[Okay, yes, it sounds ridiculous, but referring to each of them by their clothing style was getting a bit too unwieldy.]
I am the eighth incarnation, so I am usually just called Eight.
no subject
Though the mention of five of him does remind him of something.]
Has Ten shown up here yet? I really ought to meet him... properly, this time.
[Does that mean face-to-face or without demanding answers about his dalliances? You decide.]
And I am, as Eight already said, sixth.
no subject
-And, uh, nice to meet you. [She gives a brief little salute.]
