Frost Fairy Hospital Log [OPEN]

Who: OPEN TO ALL! Tag everyone, treat it like a party log, except it's a hospital and people are injured so it's not much fun for the characters involved.
What: Get yourself treated at the hospital for frostbite! Heal people of said frostbite! Meet others in a sterile environment!
When: Day 39 & Day 40
Where: the hospital in Sigyn district
Rating: PG-13 at most, probably.

Given the sudden outbreak of dangerous frost fairies, the hospital is sure to be bustling pretty soon with both the grey people and the travelers! Stop by for some frostbite treatment or help those who need treatment out. The hospital can probably use a few extra hands, given the city's current situation.

Ah -- I'm not badly hurt ... But if you're free ...

[Conan shrugs off the backpack of supplies he's been carrying.]

This is a kit of emergency supplies -- bandages, first-aid kit, blanket. I know you've got all of that here, but this is in case anyone needs to go out to assist someone who can't move.

[Momoka lights up.]

Thanks! That's a really good idea. I hope too many people don't get hurt.

[She's already making plans to make a bunch of these kits.]

I hope more people see your warning before they run into them in the streets. I was surprised -- I didn't expect anything so pretty to be so ... well.

[And as Conan raises his arm in an embarrassed gesture, you might notice that his jacket has a rather unfashionable rip in it. Come to think of it, Conan didn't say that he wasn't injured -- just that he wasn't injured badly.]

This place has a lot of really unexpected things!

[She notices the rip a moment later, and she frowns at it in a worried way.]

Are you sure you're okay? Did one of them scratch you?

You're right about that!

Ah -- this?

[Conan blinks down at his arm, hesitating ... but a glance around the hospital decides him. Right now it doesn't look as though there's anyone more urgent needing attention so he starts shrugging off his jacket. His arm is stiff, hard to move -- you might want to give him a hand taking it off.]

[Momoka helps him remove his jacket when it proves difficult.]

You should have told me right away, even if it just hurts a little.

[She shifts to take a look at the injury, to see how much of it she can heal on her own.]

[There's a shallow cut where the jacket was pierced, easy enough for Momoka to feel. More worryingly is the patch of skin around it. No wonder Conan was moving stiffly -- that's some bad frostbite.]

Ah ...

[Looking worried! She does what she can with her healing power, removing the cut entirely and alleviating a bit of the frostbite, but she's only at level one.]

Does it hurt a lot?

Doesn't hurt much. Actually no -- it stings now. I guess maybe because the adrenalin is wearing off or I'm warming up in here.

[This is fascinating but -- Conan can't help but bite his lip. This is the last thing he needs -- there is stuff he needs to be doing.]

If you can feel it, it means your skin is still alive, so I think that's better than it being numb even if it isn't a lot of fun.

[She's read up on frostbite first aid today.]

We need to warm the area up. Can you take off your shirt? I'll get a wash cloth.

[You've got a good point, Momoka. Conan nods grimly, hesitating only briefly before beginning to peel off his many layers. Ha ... just as well it's this body. Nothing to be shy about ...

He's still slow, hampered as feeling starts to return, so he'll still be at it when Momoka returns.]

[Momoka's brought with her a bowl of warm water as well as the cloth, and she places it on a table to help Conan remove the rest.]

You'll be better in no time, I'm sure!

[She's being as reassuring as she can be, but she does sincerely believe he'll be okay.]

[Conan has now gotten so far over his embarrassment that he is grateful for the help.]

[Momoka starts warming the frostbitten area with the washcloth, carefully.]

Oh, sorry. I'm Momoka! What's your name?

[Conan stays carefully still, trying not to wince.]

Edogawa Conan. It's nice to meet you, Momoka-chan!

It's nice to meet you, too, Conan-kun.

[Momoka keeps working at the frostbite, occasionally dipping the wash cloth back into the warm water to keep it from getting cold.]

Are there a lot of monsters outside?

I didn't see that many -- but I was concentrating on getting here.

They're pretty weird, for monsters.

They're really small, aren't they? But they're hurting a lot of people...

[She wants to help everyone, but for now this is all she can do.]

So pretty and delicate looking -- but actually deceptively tough.
