Who: Simon
takes_careofher and Paige
whitelighting
What: A witch and a space doctor run into each other. Literally.
When: Day 145.
Where: Sigyn house.
Rating: PG.
It was getting late, the sky outside darkening, and Simon was just getting home from spending several hours at the library in Odin. He'd been spending a lot of time in the Odin district lately - more so than in his own - either with River or at the vast library, researching. He still wasn't quite over the sense of awe he felt every time he set foot into the large building, still in utter disbelief at all the books - all the information - he now had access to. It was unlike anything he'd ever seen before - even the library they'd had back on the Tam estate on Osiris couldn't compare to the one here. He could easily have spent several more hours there, reading, had he not had a rather pressing need for sleep. Luckily, those he didn't have time to read there, he could borrow.
Today, he'd returned home with several thick, dusty volumes now in his possession, three of which were tucked in the crook of one arm while a fourth - a medical journal, according to the title - was clutched tightly in his other hand. Just a bit of light reading for the few hours in the day he actually spent in the Sigyn house. Entering the main hall, his brow was furrowed slightly and his eyes moved back and forth as he read quietly, not really paying any attention as to where he was going.

She'd been home a few hours, or rather at the Sigyn house. It didn't feel like home, and with home waiting Paige also doubted that she'd call it that. But she was getting on. She'd been flicking through the network, which so far was her best source of information, as well as calling out to anyone that she hoped might hear her - the gods, Leo, any Elder or demon (she'd even take a demon so long as she could bargain, get home and then vanquish its sorry ass) that might have been listening. And all of her efforts and shouting? Well, all that it was coming to was a slightly tired voice. That wasn't stopping her either, not until she didn't have any voice, and Paige - in the main hall of Sigyn house - was walking back and fourth down it, still calling out. She was fully aware that she probably looked (and sounded) slightly crazy, however what she wasn't aware of in the slightest was the person coming towards her, whom she was also walking towards.
Not until she walked into them, both colliding and, well, falling to the ground in a very ungraceful manner. And it certainly shocked Paige to her senses, and made her feel more than a little foolish.
"Oh my god, are you okay?" She was scrambling up from the floor, or at least onto her hands and knees, picking the books that had flown from his hands back up and making a little stack of them.

The second thing he became aware of was that he was flat on his back on a very cold floor with someone beside him. It was only as his vision focused did he realise that that someone was a woman and she'd just asked him a question.
"Ahhh..." he hissed out, rather eloquently.
With a groan, he propped himself up onto his elbow, rubbing the back of his head where he'd hit it against the floor during his descent. He started when a sharp lance of pain shot through his skull, stinging for a few seconds before the sensation faded. Another hesitant prod brought about the same results. Bruised. Definitely.
"I'm fine," he grunted as he pulled himself up onto his feet, his eyes widening when he put pressure on his left foot for the first time and was rewarded with a sharp burst of searing hot pain, "Ow," he groaned, sinking back to the ground in a sitting position.
Gritting his teeth, he reached down a hand to gingerly probe at his ankle for a few seconds, wincing as he noted, more to himself, "I-- I think it's twisted."
