[OPEN] JANUARY UTGARD MINGLE
Who: Anyone who's traveled to Utgard!
What: Getting used to the city
When: Days 198-213
Where: anywhere in Utgard
Rating: PG-13 tops! If it gets worse, move to a private log please.
[Please include your location and the IC day (ex. Day 200) in your top-level comment or your subject line when starting a thread! Utgard is a metropolitan city very much like any largeish city in a first world country today. There are commercial districts with malls, skyscrapers, and restaurants, as well as residential areas, industrial area, etc. There are good neighborhoods and bad neighborhoods. There's a subway system and a local network that works like the internet but only include stuff made/maintained by people in Utgard or businesses with interests there. Remember that any tech brought back to Asgard must fit Asgard's tech rules or it will be disabled just like items that come in on arrival. You can also see the world info faq for its blurb on the city.
Also, keep an eye on the event schedule for January! If you're traveling during an event, make sure you take that into account. Also, you can always look at the main schedule for weather and the like. Thank you!
Have fun!]

Re: day 204 - commercial district
He's glad that he was able to get her away from the office for a while though. She deserves a break and Utgard is as close to home as they're going to get here. Castle just feels more comfortable in a big city with bustling stores and people.
They may not have been able to get away very far, but it's still a get away. And Castle plans to pamper her.]
Anything in particular you're shopping for?

Hadn't really planned to go shopping. It is the holiday season, though. [ she thinks of the pokemon egg Touya had given her. ] Should we get presents for people?

[It seemed that most of the people besides Kate had left. Why haven't they gotten to leave yet?]
Conan, I guess.

Touya maybe?

I don't think I've met... her?

Him. Touya's a boy, he's the one that gave me the egg that's back at the house.
