Curse of the Carnival [CLOSED]
Who: Hizumi Mizushiro, Ayumu Narumi, and Eyes Rutherford.
What: Three guys and a cat get on a ferris wheel, two guys, a cat, and a puppy get off.
When: Day 569
Where: Hel District's magical carnival of fun and wonder.
Rating: PG at worst for some language maybe?
Today was supposed to be a nice day off to relax. Hang out with Ayumu, walk around town a bit, maybe pick up some snacks, heck, he'd even be up for checking out the absurdly sketchy carnival from his own home district. Unfortunately, Hizumi's plans were fated to go awry from the very start.
Mostly because one Eyes Rutherford following him around as if he expected the younger brothers to suddenly drop everything for a surprise make out. Well, Rutherford and his cat, that is, since the man insisted on bringing her along too for reasons unknown. Great.
With an annoyed sigh, he crosses his arms behind his head and tips his head to face the only relative he's got around here. He may have stopped specifically pestering Rutherford ever since their chat at Freyr's request, but they're still by no means on good terms, and it can be heard quite clearly in his tone.
"Y'know... that curse ended a while ago." They'd even been hit with another one in the meantime, or so it had seemed. "You can quit stalkin' us everywhere." It's not like they're planning on doing anything. Sheesh!

"Maybe it means you should do more if you feel that way."
no subject
"You say that, but isn't that what we're doing?" Going to check out the.... admittedly dark looking carnival in Hel district was certainly something, anyway.
no subject
"It's the carnival! What more do you want us to do? Sit down for a nice meal and movie after?" Since Eyes seems so concerned on that front.
no subject
So he focuses his gaze on the upcoming carnival, Charles taking up the mantle of looking at Hizumi with her own vividly blue eyes. "I will admit, in the three years I have been here I haven't set foot in that place myself."
no subject
"....So do we know anything about this place, besides that it looks kind of creepy?"
no subject
"I think it's fine as long as it's daytime. I saw some weird stuff the other day when I passed by it at night, though." The things he does for discounted late night snack runs...
no subject
"The weird things were probably ghosts."
no subject
.....He isn't quite sure he wants to know what sort of strange people Eyes heard this from.
no subject
"But who decided to sleep here? They couldn't find a better place?"
no subject
"Now who will be paying the admission?" As if to emphasise this, Charles climbs up her owner and curls around his shoulders, releasing a high pitched meow. He wasn't going to pay for everyone here.
no subject
"You were the one to suggest we come here." Not that he was against paying his own admission, in all honesty.
no subject
Guys are you really going to make him pay for all of you...
"I was thinkin' it'd be fine if we all just paid for ourselves." He hadn't even thought about asking Rutherford to pay for them, considering a. he already knew he wouldn't and b. he wasn't supposed to be here in the first place.
no subject
"I assume that includes any expenses inside."

Once admittance is paid for, he strolls into the carnival, surveying the place. "Any preferences on what we do first? Or should we try and find the most haunted lookin' thing and go for that?"
>Priorities.
no subject
"And dampen the anticipation of the rest of the trip afterward?"
no subject
"I say we just pick whatever is closest that looks interesting. We have a while to look around anyway, right?"
no subject
"Fine-! The closest thing is the ferris wheel, though. Should we keep movin'?"
They
probablywouldn't want Eyes to drop dead on the spot from a heart attack just because of their choice in attractions.no subject
Now hurry along you two, his strides are much longer than either of yours.

Even if climbing him did require the use of claws a little, maybe some light purring would help him a little.

.... though when Charles hops off of Eyes to seek out Hizumi, Ayumu can't quite hide the minute smile that comes to his lips. Perhaps he wasn't the only one playing peacekeeper here. He reaches over and offers the feline a brief chin scratch of gratitude, before stepping up to pay for his own tickets.
no subject
That done, Hizumi steps into the cabin with slightly more energy, laying a hand on the glass as he peers outside despite the fact that they have yet to move. "Hope the view's worth it. Unless the real attraction's how this thing is supposed to have ghostly visitors showin' up..."
Apparently he is not giving up on that.
no subject
He can join in on the next cabin, but for now they are gifted with as much time as it takes to ride a ferris wheel without his blatant observation.
no subject
Wanted to being the key word, of course. Ayumu settles on one of the benches slowly, glancing around as the cabin door is closed behind them. "Looks like we're alone." Well, besides Charles anyway.
no subject
no subject
"it's pretty stifling though."
no subject
no subject
Ayumu would talk to him. Maybe. He glances out the window as the carriage starts to slide upwards.

"You should say somethin' to him. He'll just ignore me if I complain."

With a small grumble, he turns his head to look out the window. The view isn't much right now, but they still aren't at the top yet-- there's still buildings in the way, making it slightly less impressive.
