"Eech... HELLO!" Despite wincing she tried to outdo him in volume, calling on the most Diva-like line she could think of next in retort - and after rubbing her ears it seemed the obvious pose choice to plant hands on her hips. "You can't teach me if I can't hear, genius."
Granted it was still a little puzzling how a complimentary word like that could be understood as way of scolding... or as an insult. But Yurippe would probably be proud of her too.
