Get down from your tree house sittin' in the sky
Who: A lady and a knight and open to those of New Camelot who want to make a guest appearance and have food thrown at them.
What: it's a cheery afternoon in New Camelot, Morgana asks Lancelot to teach her how to cook while plotting to try and drag him out of his much-too-gallant state into a food fight. Chaos ensues.
When: forward dated to day 186
Where: New Camelot building in the Thor district!
Rating: C for all the pendragons are children. also for abuse of famous 90s pop songs in the title of this whole thing. If you can guess the song by the lyrics, 10 points.
[ The heart of the matter was that Morgana was bored.
Usually an active person all around, she had spent the morning in bed; a result of her persistant lack of sleep that she has not been able to change even after months without prophetic nightmares in this city.
So she slept and rested, nursed a mild headache and kept from moving about too much for the sake of her head and also because that even though her affections for Merlin has been made public, she has yet to discuss the matter with any of her housemate except for Merlin himself.
Their business, clearly, and no one else's.
But she was bored by the time morning turned into early afternoon and after a long bath, ventured into the living room, a simple emerald gown today.
It was a quest, by all means. She needed some form of distraction. ]

I'll show you mine if you show me yours ~
He looks up when he hears footsteps approaching, and stands up when he sees who they belong to.]
Morgana -- we were worried when you did not join us for breakfast - are you well?
YES THIS.
(she does remember one time, the first night of sleep after receiving her bracelet from Morgause and if only it could work here.) ]
I had to rest. I get very little sleep most nights.
[ and already feeling like she said too much, she inclines her head. ]
Sir Lancelot.
yay 10 points \o/
[Oh well, now it's his turn to summon a small slightly amused smile.] If I am to forgo titles around you, you may do the same.
[He walks towards her.]
Are you hungry?
ALL the points
[ well, ok. Grinning. ]
Lancelot.
[ she seems slightly surprised by his question. Food. She had forgotten; Perhaps the surprise also makes her much more honest. ]
Yes I - perhaps I should eat something.
ALL OF THEM?? (yay)
[Here Morgana, you get a pleased nod as he forgoes his peace in favor of starting towards the kitchen.]
What would you like?
[A practical purpose; those he's good at.]
every single one!
[ she smiles, shakes her head. Grateful but well mannered. A lady, still, even after all this time. ]
Please, I wish not to bother you. I can fend for my own, truly.
/gives you half
You are weary, and recovering. Allow me to do this for you this time, it will put my own mind at ease. [He smiles at her kindly, bringing people down is just not his style.]
And it is no bother at all, as it happens I was just thinking it was time to make myself something.
EATS THEM
[ a beat and then she changes her minds, wishes too add more to it. There is much Morgana feels when it comes to Lancelot. She is happy that he shows support for Arthur, glad that he is being a friend to Merlin. ]
Not only for that. For what you have done not only for Merlin but for me - thank you. I am sorry it took me so long to say that.
/sprinkles some sugar on top
I did what was right, what my heart commanded me to. You need not thank me, I'm glad that I could do so.
[He inclines his head towards her before straightening up with a smile and resuming his way towards the kitchen.]
How about pasta?
and a cherry?
[ this is the second time as of late she had even referred to herself and Merlin as 'we' which in turn makes her basically move very swiftly to the next subject before she'll be too obvious. ]
That sounds wonderful. I'll boil the water?
[ distractions; those are good. ]
and anything you want <3
[He can't help it, he's thrilled for his friends, regardless of his own heartache.]
I'm very happy for the two of you.
yay :3
You are kind to us both, Lancelot, as ever. Thank you.
♥
You are both dear friends to me, Morgana. It is a given.
no subject
[ a big deal, a more modern girl would say, Morgana looks utterly lost for how to describe it since 'not important' is not true at all. ]
Thank you, Lancelot.
[ all sophisticated, yep. ]
no subject
You are always welcome. If there is anything I can ever do for you, you need only say it and it shall be done.
no subject
[ a jest, if to judge by her grin but she nods. ]
But I shall remember your words.
no subject
[He inclines his head again with an amused smile of his own.]
Please do.
[Turning back to the pan, he spills the tomato paste into it.]
no subject
[ the most pointed of all smiles. ]
no subject
Well if she wanted a joke she would be talking to Arthur, not him.]
You need not concern yourself with me, I have the rest I need.
no subject
Besides - [ she is still sporting the kind tone and smile as she aims a piece of pasta.
At his hair. ]
We need some laughter in this house.
no subject
...that -- would cook better in the pot. [Nope, he's not going to fall that easily.]
no subject
Lancelot.
Really. She looks as if she expects something of him. ]
I do not have a glove to take off, sir Lancelot.
[ it's a challenge. Come on, throw one back. ]
no subject
[Always honest, even when it's less than wise.]
no subject
[ simply..pasta. ]
no subject
[He's sworn to protect her, he cannot raise a weapon at her, no more than he can raise one at Arthur.
Honestly, this situation is new to him and is certainly not covered in the legends or the code. How do you behave when the lady of Camelot wants to engage in a food fight?]
no subject
[ this exact grin. ]
Just one and I shall not tell a soul.
no subject
[This is not knight like behavior and he's tried so hard to keep a straight and clean path since that first mistake, that lie. But is there any harm in this if they are friends? Yes, she is a lady, but that shouldn't mean she isn't allowed to her fun, should it?
He picks up the pack of pasta, separating two portions and picks up the pot's lid, breaking the noodles in half, bits flying around everywhere. One hand moves to grab the majority of the half remaining in the other. What's left in that hand? Flies right at Morgana's upper body.]
no subject
[ but the rest of it becomes a loud chuckle, bright and rich in careless joy. It's been long, too long since Morgana laughed, truly laughed, it almost sounds foreign. She looks surprised, perhaps she expected him to refuse her entirely and in she aims another at his shoulder. ]
no subject
He doesn't throw anymore, instead dropping the pasta in the water.]
We do still need to eat - but you may throw whatever we have left at me if you wish.
