What: 'Serious conversation about the past and present'. AKA, camp fuck you I'm a wizard.
When: 371-ish, Early evening.
Where: Odin House, room 308.
Rating: PG-13, for alcohol use and probable sads.
[ If Albus Dumbledore has learned anything at all in his twenty-eight odd years, it's that one should never -- if they might otherwise help it -- drink alone. The second thing that he has learned (albeit rather more recently) is just how badly he needs a drink right now.
It's been a long week, to say the least. Earthquakes, upstart dark lords, and the mysteries of muggle indoor plumbing would be wearying enough without the twin additions of unknown friends and too widely-known futures. The headache that pounds between his temples has been near-continuous since his arrival in Asgard, and each new sunrise seems to only confirm its status as a permanent resident to his skull.
At Hogwarts right about now, he'd be finishing up the last of afterhours study help, and retiring to see to Fawkes. Instead, he finds himself pacing a near-empty little room on the third floor of Odin House, waiting for company to arrive and wishing quite desperately that they would be quicker about it.
Unquestionably, Albus Dumbledore is a man who likes to hear himself speak; but he has not for some time enjoyed solitude with his thoughts. ]
