Satan watched the priest praying. Useless idiot; they always believed it was all about them, didn't they. Humans always thought they were the reason for everything and their souls are so important. Certainly Satan understands why; if they weren't, if God didn't give them that fake importance, they would not obey Him. But in all honesty, they were but small causality of the actual war between God and Satan.

They had no importance in it besides occupying the world that was never meant to be theirs. The war had started so long ago, during the era of dinosaurs, when humans weren't even one of God's project. They only appeared on Earth because God believed He had defeated Satan and the demons, and He decided to repopulate Earth. That's all humans are.

"Stop that, He isn't here." he finally said with some annoyance in his voice. "Do you think He would let me walk around like this if He was here?"
