She stares at him for a long, long long while with her lips pressed together, watching him sip his tea. Ril knows he does, she's known on some level for ages, but they'd always avoided it, really. Neat little deflections, distractions, jokes, and she'snot sure if she's angry at him or if she's this massive ball of things at him. Feelings. Too much, as always, too intense, as always.
She sets her cup down.
"Fair?" she murmurs. "Do we need rules? Rules and regulations and lines to be drawn? Shall I convene a summit and determine fairness in the matter of hearts? If it were fair. Manage to get to me first?"
Her fingers go to her her lips and she shakes her head, nearly angry, nearly near tears. And for a moment she buries her face in her hands.
"Don't be so--" she casts about for the right word, "...so limited. I have loved you for as long as I have known you. Your faces are you, you are you, your Sixth," she can't not look pained as she finds his face because the rift left in his Sixth self's absence wasn't something that would ever heal, "your Eighth, your Fourth! You. You got to me first, and I am lost in you. I am Antedan and I love you with all I am, that is what it is."
Her cheeks are bright with emotion and her eyes fill as her throat closes. Ril's chair scrapes as she stands, restless, with no aim for her energy as she leans in. Her voice is soft and it's dangerously close to breaking.
"If it were fair," she says, "I'd have you right here. Now. I would drown out this war with you until there is no sky and no earth and no light."
She draws a breath and half laughs.
"I will love you anywhen, my Doctor. Through time and space and circumstance. How I love you, when, and where? That is up to you, your desire."
