Merlin wasn't feeling too confident about Cas' eagerness, either. While he was glad the angel felt he could rely on him and Nakama to look out for him, that only made Merlin more nervous about making a mistake somewhere.

The sight of the patient was enough to make him wince--not because he was repulsed by the injuries, but because those were the injuries Cas would take into his own body. Why he'd thought Cas might start with an easier injury, Merlin didn't know.

Merlin shuffled closer, giving Cas and Nakama a nod. "Okay...here goes nothing."
