[Look down. Now back up! Where are you? You're in the Castle Plaza, with the Gods your Gods could God like.

[Lively, pleasant music hangs in the air around you as fireworks explode in the sky above. There is a tempting aroma teasing at your nostrils. Where is it coming from? Those long tables at the center of the plaza, overflowing with food you love. Craving anything from home? You'll be sure to find it there.

[Look around you. What do you see? Carnival games. Hundreds of Carnival games, including a dunk tank, and all for free! Carnival games not your thing? Why not give the dance floor a try? That music is awfully catchy, and just look at all those stunning lights!

[Enjoy yourselves, travelers. A New Year is upon us.]

[ Ange manages to spot her aunt out of a corner of her eye, and.. well, it's only polite to at least go wish her a happy new year, right? Even if it's somewhat awkward to deal with family things after twelve years of nothing, but.. not entirely in a bad way, either way. ]

[It was still rather odd to see Ange as a teenager and not a child, but it was reassuring in a way to know that at least the Ushiromiya family wasn't completely destroyed by whatever else happened during the family conference. She returns Ange's nod and smiles.]

It's rather noisy here, huh?

[ it's her way of saying she doesn't really.. care for the party.. in a polite way for once, since she can't be as blunt as usual around family members as well. ]

It is, but that's rather unavoidable with the number of people who have gathered here, unfortunately. I would prefer a quieter, more intimate celebration myself.

Maybe next time you could organize something smaller yourself.. You know, just invite a few people over or something like that.

[ not that Ange is particularly into any sort of party at all. ]

Perhaps, though I would hope we won't end up being here long enough for that to be a concern.

I'd hope the same, but.. [ a slight shrug. ] I have a feeling we won't be getting out of here that easily. Bigger things are probably still awaiting us.
