A Magical Tea Party!

Who: Hibiki and anyone who was interested in her most recent post.
What: Happy tea party times!
When: Backdated to Day 258

Rating: G unless someone gets really angry at their tea.

"Phew... I think that's everything!"

Hibiki surveys her work with a happy smile. The room has been arranged with a number of tables to accommodate everyone, and each is set with a clean white tablecloth. There is a list of all the available teas on each one, consisting of a great variety of different types; if your character drinks it, it's probably on the list. The time that wasn't spent collecting everything to make this possible was spent learning how to brew each type to perfection, and she's both excited and anxious to be able to make tea for everyone. Hopefully she doesn't mess up!

A long table has been prepared for any snacks or cakes that the others will bring, and the kettles for preparing tea are easily accessible for anyone who prefers to make their own. Which means that now, the only thing left to do is...

Wait for everyone to arrive!

[Hibiki is playing the waitress today, approaching anyone who appears to be waiting to make an order.]

Umm... Do you know what kind of tea you'd like? I can make it right away!

[The event was being held in a restaurant... but since it seemed the polite thing to do Leonardo brought a box of cannolis for the hostess anyway. It might help out a bit and at the very least they did taste delicious!
When Hibiki spoke Leonardo quickly took up a menu to look it over so she wouldn't be standing there too long.]

I have become used to the peppermint tea but any of these could be nice.

[Decisiveness, he has it. There were just so many flavors! Oh... just chose one!]

I think I will try the peach tea. It sounds different.

Peach tea... It's very delicious! I'm sure you'll like it!

[She writes it down quickly on her little pad of paper.]

In the meantime, feel free to help yourself to the cakes! Some of my friends made them, and they're really good!

[The box of cannolis was presented to Hibiki then so she could do with them whatever she liked. ]

[She gives a small, happy gasp at the cannolis, taking them delicately.]

They look delicious! What are they made of?

[Hmm, good question. It seemed he had a confession to make.]

I did not actually make these, I just picked them up at a bakery on the way here. But, I do think they are filled with chocolate chips and a ricotta cream.

[She doesn't seem to be at all put off by this. The gesture alone is enough to make her happy!]

[She comes back in almost no time at all, carefully setting a cute little tea cup in front of him.]

[She practically glows with pride when he says that. It's the one thing she can have complete confidence in, after all.]

( Why, look who looks adorable. Hermione can't help but smile! At the very least, she's here. And looking over the menu, offering an encouraging nod. )

I usually drink something with lemon at this time of day .. do you have that?

We have some lemon tea if you'd like... Or maybe black tea flavored with lemon, if you would prefer that instead?

Hmm.. which do you think? What is your favorite?

Why don't I go with the black tea flavored with lemon, then? That sounds good to me!

Okay then! I can prepare that. It should only take a little bit, so go ahead and help yourself to any of the sweets in the meantime!

[She writes it down just to be all official and gives a small bob of the head in a bow before hurrying to the back to prepare the tea. It really shouldn't take all that long however; just enough for Hermione to grab whatever sweets catch her fancy!]

( Hermione goes ahead and snags herself a scone and a cookie, back at her table in time to survey the room. Jade had told her that this was her restaurant, so she was a bit interested in the layout! )

[And then she comes back with the tea carefully balanced on a tray. There's a fresh slice of lemon accompanying the teacup itself.]

I wasn't sure how much you wanted in it, so I just cut out a slice for you... I hope that's okay.

That should be fine - thank you so very much.

( She's just going to take the tea, settling herself with it. )

Uh-huh! I love making tea, and getting to be with everyone like this... I'm enjoying it a lot!

Oh, yes! You've done a beautiful job. Did you do this all yourself?

Oh, no, I couldn't have-

[She gets a little flustered, here.]

Ah... A lot of my friends helped get cakes and things. And somebody else was the one who suggested we have the tea party here, because she owns the building!

[ Oh, ho. Someone who owns the building. ]

Who was that? The person who told you to have the party here?

Harley ... ( That sounded familiar. ) Oh! Jade! Have you known her long?

Uh-uh. We only really talked when we started making plans.

She's very kind, isn't she?

She is! I was so surprised when she offered to let us use the Highwind like this...!

I'm beginning to get the feeling that is the type of person that Jade is. I can't imagine her getting angry!

I hope I can talk with her some more in the future. I've seen her posts sometimes, but we never really spoke 'til now... I wish I had talked to her sooner!
