Here it is: the moment you've all been waiting for! The Valentine's Ball has begun!

At 8pm, all characters will suddenly find themselves wearing formal wear to suit their tastes, and lights and music will begin in the ballroom. Characters are welcome to come and go from the ball as they'd like, except for the Ball Court members, who will be teleported to the ballroom and may not change clothes or leave until 9pm!

Court members were determined by number of Valentines received, and are the top earner in their respective Houses! :) We'll be unscreening the valentines tally comments momentarily.

At 9pm, the King and Queen of the ball will be announced. King & Queen were the highest Valentine earners in the whole city, and are:

Karkat Vantas (crabby) & Kaz (parasiteye)

Yes, Hel House dominated the Valentine Receiving by quite a bit, as did these particular characters.


The ballroom has dim but colourful lighting and plays a variety of types of music from classical to dubstep. There is a refreshments table including punch, various cookies, and small sandwiches, and a second table that, again, provides any kind of food or drink (even alcohol) the character could wish for, including things from their home worlds. Also, as of 8pm everyone's valentine receiving boxes will be unlocked! Open them up to see the valentines you received and who they're from! :)

[Sora comes up behind her, lured by the aroma of a freshly cooked steak. He beams at the dish, having just watched it appear.]

No way! They've got one of these tables here too!?

We had one of these in our house for the cooking contest,[Which he failed miserably at, but it was the effort that counted!] but I didn't know they could do finished meals too!

[Sora closes his eyes, and suddenly there is a rather impressive looking three tiered cake, covered generously in chocolate frosting and strawberries. Delighted, he steals a taste of that frosting with his finger.]

Apparently they only reserve them for special occasions! I totally get it, though—things do taste way better when you haven't had them for a while, after all.

[...and as soon as that pops up, Chie is in awe. IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL.]

Oh yeah? I'm sure you can't be as bad as me. The best thing I've ever made is scrambled eggs. Kairi's practically banned me from the kitchen whenever she or Riku used to stay over.

[It's the first inkling Sora gets that he's dealing with someone capable of Mystery Food X. Still, the gravity of the situation doesn't hit him.]

[she then turns toward the table and closes her eyes! appearing before her in a few seconds is a plate with a healthy serving of curry—perfectly normal and not tainted in any way.]

I can imagine good food, but I sure can't cook it, hahaha...!
