[Somehow or other, they'd gotten through it. There had been a few rough spots, certainly, but that was only to be expected, what with their uneven numbers, the fact that they were a rather mis-matched bunch, the added pressure that came from having to be investigated themselves, and the heaviness regarding just what they were looking for. Betrayal was always a nasty business.

But they'd made it through their preparations, and they were ready - or as ready as they were going to be, anyway. Now all they had to do was gather those who wished to be questioned - but that was for another day.]

[Following orders, like a wonderful servant should or working as another comrade for such an elaborate project, was all Soushi was considered to hold any talent in. That's why the moment he was no longer required to be of use for any type of errand, then he will find himself feeling quite passive. And with time, it was beginning to bore him.]

I do believe a great deal of time has gone by...? [Please tell him that break time was finally over and he can be of use again.] Do you need my serves in any way? [Or.] Are we mostly through with the day? [He can't help wonder if there was anything else for him to do.]

[Maribelle favored Soushi with a small smile; really, the other had been quite helpful.]

I believe we have finished for the day. You may do as you please.

[It's not quite a dismissal, but she doesn't want him to stick around if he has other matters. Still, she doesn't want to just rudely brush him off if he wishes to speak with her.]

[There will be a moment of silence from Soushi's part as he begins to weight his options to either leave or engage in small talk before he decides to take his leave. He will take out a golden watch from out of one of his pockets as he looks down at the time.]

I still have quite some time before I begin my shift with the city patrol.

[His attention will turn to Maribelle as he offers her a polite smile.]

Are you certain there isn't anything else you would like for me to do? I am in no hurry and have no other plans. [Since he didn't know how long everything would take, so he informed his roommate about it beforehand. Murai, his pet mynah bird, should be well-fed and his water bowel changed by now.]

Oh, are you with the patrol? That does sound like quite a job to attend to. The medics only need to get to work whenever there's a crisis, though many of us do get in plenty of practice.

Well... what do you think of all of this, thus far? I know we are only beginning, but I would welcome your input.

Yes. I am part of the city patrols. Before the curfew was first issued and made mandatory, I used to work the graveyard shift after I was finished working at one of my part time jobs. Now it will take a good portion of my evenings and with the curfew, I will have to find work in the early hours of the day once more. [He has been avoiding the daytime hours for many reasons, but now that he is participating in another group it will no longer be the case.]

You're very amiable. Thank you very much for allowing a dog like myself the honor to add my own input over the matter. [And what was his input?] Our current group seem to be...quite unique. I know little of the Loki users except for Doctor-san. He is a reliable individual. You'll be in good hands with him.

How interesting! I am mostly concerned with training and studying, myself. I am part of the medics, and I fully intend to pull my weight. But the medics are really only busy in a crisis, so I must find other ways to occupy my time. [Like this, for instance.]

A dog? Darling, there's no need for you to refer to yourself in such a manner. People in our position must display every ounce of confidence we can. We must be bold in these matters.

Yes, I quite agree. However, with all of us being investigated, I do believe we shall do well together.

I'm certain most of the medics do volunteer work at the hospitals or clinics that are owned by the travelers. It wouldn't be unusual for many of them to have other matters to attend to. [But he does wonder.] If I may, what type of materials do you study in your spare time?

[Then at the short lecture, Soushi will offer a slight surprise expression, as he didn't expect to hear her encourage him to be more confident, before a smile will find its way to his lips in no time.]

The only type of confidence I currently possess is my position to my master. Even thought she is not within this world, I have to act accordingly to her wishes. Everything else does not matter to me. [Money and title are useless to him. He will do everything in his power to forget the influence his last name possess in his world as they are meaningless within Asgard.] But, if it is your wish for me to refrain from calling myself as a dog, then I will do so. You simply need to request it and it shall be done.

I'm certain we will. I trust your judgement as the group leader. If anything does go astray, I'll be certain to use my SS skills whenever it is needed or requested for the benefit of the group.

I was thinking of doing such things, but then... well, this nasty mess occurred. Besides, I really do need to learn more about more mundane forms of medicine before I even think of doing such things. [Never mind that she doesn't currently have the time.] I am studying non-magical medicinal methods at the moment, you see - but I am also training in the art of physical combat.

Your... master? I see. But please do restrain yourself. We mustn't send any mixed messages - and furthermore, you are so much more than a simple dog.

I'm grateful for your assistance. But... "SS skills"? What are those?

They're both wonderful subjects to occupy your time with. Are you currently studying with another person about them? I know someone with knowledge in non-magical uses for medicine and there are many wonderful fighters in this world who could teach you the very same art. I do believe there used to be a subject like it once in the school I used to volunteer in.

[Only thing is, he doesn't remember who was teacher for that particular course.]

Very well. I'll refrain from doing so.

SS is the title I hold in my world. Secret Service Agent is the officially title. It's another way to refer to a bodyguard except the difference is: my skills are more advance than those of a bodyguard and any other security job in my world. [Now even the military would be able to stop him, if he puts his mind to it. However, he will have to admit.] I hold great knowledge in self-defense and combat of all types -- with or without weapons. Along with holding knowledge of all kinds of tactics on individual may use on me or on my clients and the best methods to escape whenever it is needed. I hold knowledge almost everything one expects a professional to know in protecting their clients. [The things he has done and would do for his master has no limit to him as his main objective is to always keep her safe.]
