What: A picnic to celebrate the hard work of the clinic staff/get to know each other.
When: Day 62 - mid-day to mid-afternoon!
Where: Gefion Park.
Rating: ... PG for Holmes.

[It was hard to find anywhere in the lavishly tended gardens of Gefion Park to set up a picnic blanket, but eventually Watson found the perfect spot of green grass -- and was it ever green! Surely grass had never been so vibrant? -- lots of sun, shade provided for those who wanted it in the form of some meticulously sculpted evergreens and even enough space to play cricket, should they want to. I'll bring a bat next time, Watson decided before catching himself -- there wouldn't be a next time.

Still, all the more reason to spend what time they had left together in fun. He'd lost Holmes -- or Holmes had lost interest and wandered off while Watson was making the preparations for the picnic, but Watson had no doubt that his friend would find him again when he was ready -- and hopefully there would be some members of the picnic party around to introduce when he did. Until then --

The day was warm, and there was a cool beer in the hamper with his name written all over it. Hanging jacket on the box-hedge, and discarding his tie with it, Watson rolled up his sleeves before settling back in the sun with his beer, utterly content.]

[Nakama liked Zen, as difficult as he could be, and it's good to see his work being carried on. So she's shown up, not to steal any of their food, but to offer the man who took it over her thanks. She stands at a slight distance from the picnic setup, wondering how exactly to approach when she's not really a part of this.]

[Watson is about to crack open his bottle of beer when he realises that they've got company. Wondering if perhaps this is a patient he stands, coming over to join Nakama.]

Were you looking for us?

Oh - [She jumps when she realizes she's been noticed, but manages to calm herself quickly enough. He told people they could show up - she's not entirely out of place here.]

- um, yeah... I was looking for you, I think. You're the one that took over Zen's clinic, right?

That's right. Dr Watson, at your service.

Dr. Wat... um... [Her brows draws down.] is Watson a common name in other countries?

[Her brow furrowing even deeper.]

...for doctors?

You've met my counterpart then. How is John?

And, uh, it's been a little while since I've seen him. But he really helped me out the first time we met.

[She's here, she's unamused, and she's sitting off to the side with a clipbaord. If you're making her come here, she's going to get work done. She doesn't like crowds or people or being outside.

But maybe here's a chance to break the coded personality here. After all it's why she agreed to this whole ridiculousness thing.]

[At least she's here. As Dr Saunders doesn't put away her clipboard after some time in the sun and fresh air, Watson realises he'll have to take matters into his own hands.

Putting a selection of sandwiches, mini cornish pastries, and custard tart on a plate he brings it over to her.]

Something to eat, Dr Saunders?

[He is impossible. She looks up at him.]

This is your attempt to get me to socialize.

Not just you -- the whole staff. [Watson takes this as invitation to sit down next to her.] The clinic wouldn't be running at all if it wasn't for everyone's hard work -- we've earned a break, and who knows when we'll get another like this?

[She takes the plate. The things she does for you.]

I don't like people.

Well, that could be difficult.

It is. [She sits back and fixes her skirt before looking back at him.]

Honestly? Ichigo was not in the best of moods at the moment. Still, he figured he should at least get outside, now that he wasn't cooped up, and when he saw Watson's post on the network, he was reminded that he'd agreed to help with the Clinic before.

So. Here he is, striding across the park green, looking grumpier than ever. You KNOW you just want to bug him.

Oh, I'm sorry... [She shakes her head, bangs swishing back and forth over her forehead.] I meant to tell you right away, but then you looked so upset, I just forgot.

It's... it's Nakama. I was - changed a few days ago.

Nakama?!

[Yeah, that? That catches him right the hell off guard.]

The gods, I think. [Wearily. She doesn't mean to be rude, but this is getting tiresome.] A few people have been changed in the last little while. They're either punishing us for something or playing pranks... it's hard to tell which, with all the stuff that's happened lately.

Ichigo! Over here!

[Watson waves him over. His initial impulse is to ask after Ichigo's health, but he refrains -- they're off duty, all of them, now. Instead he settles for a handshake.]

So glad you could join us.

[Don't mind him, Watson. Just going to stomp over and flop down. You can practically feel his bad mood in the air.]

Mm. Yeah.

[Now that does warrant enquiry.]

Anything the matter?

[Brb grabbing some food and stuffing it in his mouth. Grump grump]
