It hadn't been that long since Ranka had started to explore more and more. Even with making friends, she hadn't really done much even if she had wanted to. Everyone had their own people to take care of, and she understood that. She had heard that Sheryl had been there, but she had never found her, however that hadn't meant she'd never been there. It had been a major let down though, especially after everything that had happened back home.

Smoothing her hands over her skirt, she hummed to herself as she walked along. The longer she walked, the louder her humming got until she started to sing quietly to herself. The song was one she had sung a lot. Aimo was a song she knew that had more importance now than ever. It was something she cherished, and while others wouldn't understand it. She did and that was more than enough.

Being a performer she was still shyer about belting things out. After all things were still fresh to her.

Stopping to take in a breath, she paused stopping mid song to stare at some of the colorless scenery. "How sad..."

[Utena was also wandering around until she had overhead Ranka's singing. She takes a moment to bring the music in before coming up to her with a wave.]

Um, hey! Why did you stop? That was a nice song you were singing there.

[Blinking, Ranka turned with a start looking over her shoulder at Utena. The pink hair, and the forward nature made her smile as she turned to face Utena. The idol smoothed her skirt out, one of her hands touching her stomach as she listened.]

Ah! I was just looking around, and I guess when I saw how things were here, it just made me stop for a moment.

I didn't realize anyone was listening to me. I hope I wasn't bothering you.

I don't think a cute girl like you would be bothering anyone. I gotta admit that the silence was getting to me until I heard you sing. [Have a smile, Ranka. She wondered on how old she was... Utena assumed that she was probably around her age or even younger.]

Although... I don't think I've ever heard of a song like that before.

Mm, it's a pretty song. Something I learned when I was little, and used to sing for my mother and big brother.

[She takes a few steps forward to properly meet Utena. She's curious about the other and she clasps her hands behind her back leaning forward as she studies her for a second. Her smile gets bigger as she leans back and bows her head politely.]

Thank you, I've really missed singing, and I feel out of practice. I'm Ranka Lee, what's your name?

Oh? You have family of your own, huh? I'm a bit jealous... I ended up losing my parents when I was little.

[Hm... She was very polite! Utena also bows in common courtesy, but she doesn't think she could ever compare to Ranka when it came to girlishness.]

I'm Utena Tenjou. It's nice to meet ya. Are you a performer, by any chance?

It is, isn't it.

[ Seated a few feet away on a bench, Jr. follows Ranka's gaze, studying the scenery blandly. Sighing quietly, he stands and rolls his shoulders, stretching. ]

No reason to stop singing though. It was awfully pretty.

It's just my brother and I right now, and we just found each other again before I was brought here.

[There was a little bit of a tinge of sadness that entered her eyes for a moment, but after a second she shook her head bouncing right back.]

It's nice to meet you Utena! I haven't really gotten to come out much since I got here, so it's nice to run into someone that's so nice.

[When she was asked if she were a performer, her cheeks colored as she turned and walked a few steps away, before smiling and looking over her shoulder.]

Yes, I really love to sing!

[Startled, Jr. is treated to the sight of her hair sticking straight out. She turns, her hair settling as she recognizes the voice, her eyes softening. It was the person she had met on her last post.]

Ah, thanks. I guess I did say I'd sing a song for you in return for you playing the harmonica. Though, I guess I wasn't really expecting to give you my thanks like this.

Is that right? [She'll cross her arms around her chest and give her a smile.]

Heh... I'm not a very good singer myself, but... I'd love to hear some more of yours.

[persistentsong]

[A blush spreads across her cheeks as she looks down, and smiles.]

I think as long as the intentions are good, if you enjoy something you don't have to be amazing at it. But, singing is a lot of fun. I wouldn't mind singing properly for you sometime though, if you want me to that is.

[Looking around, this place wasn't unlike where she had started out. It had been in the Zentran mall after an argument with Michel. She had wanted it so badly, and now she felt as if she were pulling back again.]

What kind of songs do you like, Utena?

[That's a good question... Utena never really put much thought on what kind of music she likes. So, she'll do her best to give her a good answer.]

Hm... I never really thought about it, to be honest. I guess something happy and uplifting would suit a cool gal like me.

[designerchild]

[ Laughing, he plants his hands on his hips and then shrugs dismissively. ]

I would have told you earlier that no thanks would be necessary, but having heard you sing, I'd be eating my words right now, heh. Where'd you pick up that song?

[persistentsong]

Okay, let's see...

[Nodding, Ranka smiles and touches her pointer finger to her jaw. She shuts her eyes considering a moment and then she starts to sing Seikan Hikou. After a few hesitant notes the idol starts to sing whole heartedly.]

[She moves over and steps beside him, as she listens to him for a moment. Clasping her hands behind her back she leans back and looks up.]

It's a very special song for an alien race to come together to find their mates. At least that's what I remember now, before I just knew the song and sang it.

[Utena doesn't say anything throughout the song. This girl was really talented! She was certain that she was very popular back in her world. Whenever Ranka finishes, Utena will clap her hands together for some aplause.]

---That was great! You must really be popular back at your home.

[ A very peculiar expression freezes on his face at the mention of "alien race" and "find mates." This specific expression is mixture of morbid curiosity, embarrassment, and wonder. ]

That's pretty interesting. You're...an alien, then?

[ Basically going through his mind: ...is she looking for mates in Asgard!? ]

Is this perhaps your attempt to better the city's situation? [Eyes had happened to be nearby when he first heard her singing, and remembering the subject of their conversation he could only assume that this was related.]

Zephyr had been exploring when he had heard some singing, and after shrugging and trying to keep on going his merry way, he opted instead of check it out. After a little following, he stumbled onto the girl from his first post, talking about helping and strength and all that junk.

"So throw a bucket of paint on it or something." He decided, what the hell, and shuffled over towards her a little, looking at it.

Mm. I guess that's true, though I really like hearing my friend Sheryl sing too. She's even more popular than I am, and she's really nice.

[She looks down and smiles slightly as she talks, her hand gripping at the hem of her dress. Everything she had been through, and just being in this place was almost surreal to her.]

[Blinking Ranka just watches him and smiles.]

Actually I'm a quarter Zentran. That's why my hair moves sometimes, and also it makes me really tough!

[She holds up a fist and grins.]

The song was something that was heard from another alien race though. But, the Zentran do have a good ear for music!

Ah!

[Turning sharply she hears a familiar voice, her hair moving up at the recognition and at her surprise. Ranka stares at Eyes, and then smiles after a moment.]

No, I guess I just got carried away. I tend to do things without thinking sometimes.

Turning around to look towards Zephyr she smiled sadly, if only it were that easy. After all, they were there to forge connections, and to be there to help out. People like Zephyr really puzzled her, if it meant that getting out earlier was helped by doing what they wanted, was that so bad? Instead of making a big deal about his attitude, she however smiled gently and turned to look at the same scenery, "This place needs help, and I don't think one person can do it alone."

Lifting herself onto her tippy toes, Ranka clasped her hands behind her back, her eyes shutting for a moment. How would she approach this person?

"So, are you getting along okay?"

I gotta meet her someday, then! It's not every day you bump into an awesome singer.

[There's something that she feels like doing with her, but first of all...] Ranka, right? How old are you?

[persistentsong]

I'm sixteen.

[It was weird to say that, after all it had been a long ride to there, but she was. Of course she blinked, curious as to what her age had to do with anything.]

How old are you, Utena?

E-eh?! I'm... fourteen, but...

[Seriously, when she compares their looks and heights...] You look a lot younger than me. It's hard to believe that you're my sempai.
