[CLOSED] Accidental Reunions
Who: Soushi Miketsukami (
onlyserves) and Karuta Roromiya (
odokuro)
What: Soushi bumps into Karuta over at the park, and they greet one another.
When: Day 124; in the late afternoon.
Where: Gefion Park in Baldr district.
Rating: TOTALLY RATED G! ...wow the only time he has such a rating with anyone. ouo
Sitting in one of the many park benches surrounding the area, Soushi can be found pondering in silence as he continues to read the latest news that he has missed over the past month or so; Ririchiyo had informed him over the length of time they had missed while being sent back home. It really was amazing the power the rulers of this realm had over them. If Kagerou had to label them, Soushi could easily imagine him to label them as either -- the Supreme S of all S’s, or typical villains.
It was hard to tell where his stance on the rulers of this world was currently at. No, it was no longer difficult to tell -- he was slowly turning against them. Slowly, but not entirely just yet. He wanted to know where the rulers of Asgard were trying to drive everyone to. It would be a shame to allow his anger and high guard shield him from what is truly going on. He needed to be even more observant than ever before. The rulers have gone through his defence once by not only harming his master, but killing her in the worse possible manner. He will never allowed them to touch a hair on her head ever again. It was a promise, and an oath.
As he finished his investigation, he was getting ready to head to a nearby store to buy supplies in order to make his master's supper for the evening. He should be able to make it on time. It wasn't too late to gather the materials that he needed. Rising from the bench and turning off the bracelet in his wrist, Soushi's gaze roamed his surroundings for a mere moment, he could not help wonder who else was in the area. A month has gone past, then surely there must be new arrivals surrounding him along with the current ones. It would be pleasant to find someone he already knew to formally greet and inform over his master's return, if they were not already informed about it.
(OOC: I am okay with either prose or action. It's up to you on which way we'll continue this. <3)

So, with the last of the chips she had packed, she sat on the edge of the fountain in the park. She switched off with each chip, giving one to herself to munch on, and the other was handed to a small group of ducks that would float by and grab the chip before darting away. They weren't tanuki's, but cute animals seemed to make Karuta happier.
All in all, she wasn't mad that she was in this new place, and she was still trying to see the best in all of it. Home...was only home because of her friends, and beyond the mansion was a world of things that only caught her interest with it's cuisine. And since most of those friends were now here, and a whole new culinary world awaited, she figured it wasn't so bad.
Handing a chip to one of the ducks, she looked up when she heard footsteps behind her. She recognized the person instantly, and showed no surprise, especially since Ririchiyo hold told her already that her SS was here as well.
There was no smile from Karuta, just a simple nod in greeting, then she turned back to the ducks, and slipped the last chip into her mouth.

Once he reached the other in question, which did not take very long, his turquoise and golden color eyes continue to further inspect her. When she turned her head in greetings, his eyes will open a little wide in surprise, her greeting caught him slightly off guard. Maybe a piece of him really did believe she was another unknown stranger than his master's precious friend from home. It was a good thing that the effect of his surprise was transformed into joy instead. Even though he did not hold a close relationship with her, he was thankful to know that Karuta found her way to Asgard. Somehow.
A smile will spread on his lips as he stands by the other girl, and says to her in a soft greetings, "Good day, Roromiya-san. It has been a long time since I've had the pleasure to speak with you. How are you?" His gaze will turn to the mischievous ducks returning to the young girl's side, who seemed to be interested with whatever it is she was currently holding. The smile will remain in place, but more as a curious one. "What are you currently doing, if you do not mind my interest?"

Ignoring the first question because she wasn't sure how to answer it, she just pointed at the ducks floating about in the fountain.
"They remind me of Watanuki," she answered matter-of-factly. How exactly a duck reminded her of Watanuki was impossible to say for sure. Though they were certainly of similar size and color, and perhaps that was all the girl really needed to be reminded of her childhood friend.
With that answered, she ruffled around in her knapsack to see if there was anything left, finding only a half empty jar of peanut butter and a spoon. Welll, it was better than nothing, so she undid the lid and stuck a spoonful of peanut butter into her mouth.

As he made his observations, he will kneel down by the other's side wondering if he should get the ducks a little treat before leaving the area? His gaze will turn to Karuta as he observes her with the half empty jar of peanut butter in her hands. She might also be hungry. Who knows how long ago she arrived and even if Ririchiyo and Kagerou were alertted of her precense. Soushi knew those two, other than Watanuki, are good friends with her. He did not have much of a relationship with her other than being co-workers, and even then they do not usually talk. But there is one thing he is certain -- Soushi trusts her enough to drag Ririchiyo to shops after school hours without being within the same area.
With that in thought in mind, he decided to try and form some sort of communication with her. So, he cannot help answer, "I've only known Watanuki-san for the little bits of my adolocent years. But...there is one thing I do know about him: he is very cute, isn't he?" His attention will return to the ducks as he watches a few waddle their way to him in curiosity over the new-comer. He smiles a bit before he returns his attention to Karuta, "Roromiya-san, do you wish to eat fresh bread to go along with your peanut butter? There is a quaint french bakery close by. We can go and buy a few fresh rolls of bread for your snack as well as for the ducks." Soushi was good in finding ways to act around others by observing their personality type and figuring out their top three expected reactions for him. It's been a long time since he used his abilities for good instead of the other reason for it. "Will that be all right with you?" he asked as a way to make it seem more like a friendly offer than having some sort of ulterior motive on his part.

As usual, she didn't say much around Miketsukami, preferring to stay quiet and let him speak. In response to the question about how cute Watanuki was, she just nodded enthusiastically a couple times, the spoon full of peanut butter still stuck in her mouth.
With the offer for food, she swallows the bite of peanut butter and nods again a few times.
"I would love that," she answered with a little more enthusiasm that her usual speech contained. Simply the offer of food was overhwhelming enough for her to hop to her feet, and stow the peanut butter away. Before she could leave however she waved goodbye to the ducks, only to get a few honks in return. Then she looked to Soshi, unsure of which way to head for delicious bread.

As his attention returned to a Karuta on her feet and offering her goodbye to the ducks, Soushi could not help smile a bit towards her. She was a kind and gentle spirit, wasn't she? It was easy to tell that she was from her appearance alone. "Then please, do follow me, Roromiya-san," responded Soushi as he bowed his head respectfully towards her. An unnecessary act due to their positions being somewhat equal, but to his eyes they were in different levels. To Ririchiyo, Karuta's existance was extremely precious. Just that thought alone was enough for him to treat her with more respect than he normally showed others; like Nobara, for example.
The SS agent will lead Karuta, at a comfortable pace, towards the direction to the backery. He knew they would arrive in a couple of minutes. Enough time to ask her a few questions. "Roromiya-san, if you do not mind my prying, how long ago did you arrive to the fair city known as Asgard?" It was a good enough question to start off, right?
no subject
As for the question she thought about it as they walked, then answered after a few moments.
"Yesterday," she said, not thinking to give any more than that. It wasn't even that she didn't want to talk to him, she just didn't know what else to say, as she had answered the question she was asked.

But, just because he does not show any sort of connection to those in the mansion -- he was not heartless. Soushi showed, in his own way, a certain connection to them whenever he felt some sort of concern for them along when it was most convienient to, and even that was somewhat vague relationship. Only those that truly understood him and his circumstances will be able to see through him.
At Karuta's answer, Soushi will slightly turn his attention to her, almost as he was processing the current information. There was not much else she can really say because he didn't offer her a hook of conversation just yet. For the minute, he only wishes to be filled in over her arrival before dicussing further matters that he believes she needs to know. Delicate matters, after all.
His usual kind smile will be offered to the other as he fully turns his attention to her, "That is wonderful news to hear. I am very honored and pleased to have not missed your arrival to this world. It might not feel as much, due to time being entirely different between our world to this one, but I have missed you and the others very much during my stay here. I do hope we will be able to, not only continue our collaboration in our duties as SS, but get along in this world as much as we did in our own." He will stop shortly after and offer her a slight bow as a way to prove that he was being genuine. Hopefully they will be able to work well together, or even better. Soushi...he wished to change his current relationship with anyone from his world because, at least, he had someone to truly trust without any difficulties. Unlike in this world, where he cannot fully place his trust on many individuals, he feels more at ease in having someone like Karuta to watch over both Ririchiyo and Kagerou.
Once he was done with his thoughts, his smile will remain as he continues to lead her to the backery which was in plain view now. Just a few more steps to go, enough time for one more question to ask her, "Roromiya-san, is Ririchiyo-sama and Kagerou-sama aware of your recent arrival?"
no subject
"I saw Chiyo-chan and Master yesterday as soon as I got here.." she answered, looking up at the older SS as they walked. "But they don't live in Thor with me.." she added afterward, with a little hint of disappointment. She had gone home after seeing Ririchiyo and Kagerou that day, to a place where she didn't know everyone. The only thing she did was eat to try and make the loneliness go away.

Sadly, however, Soushi will remove such thoughts from his mind because the most important piece of information was over his master and former master, both knowing over Roromiya's whereabouts now. A polite smile will find a way to his lips. "That is excellent news over finding both Ririchiyo-sama and Kagerou-sama as soon as you arrived," responded Soushi. But then he will turn to her with an apologetic look, "However, I do apologize for not following suit as the others. It would seem as I was indisposed of at the time of your arrival." He was actually in a deep slumber. Then after waking up, he was disoriented from his memories -- from both his homeworld and Asgard -- trying to return to their proper place. "If you would allow it, Roromiya-san, it would be an honor for me to make up for my late welcome by offering to buy you any two items of your choice over at the bakery."
Nope, this was in no way a bribeThen at the rest of her words, he will continue to smile, but it will somewhat weaken. "Yes, I can sympathize with your feelings over the matter, Roromiya-san. We have all been seperated from one another, into different districts, after living under the same roof for so many monthes. It does feel lonely when we are unable to live so close by," responded Soushi as his expression got a bit more somber. "Luckily, the rulers of this world do not mind if we visit one another, though," His expressions becomes friendlier, but then he adds, "However, there is a certain time limit placed over those who are not from a similiar district. We are only able to remain in other districts for an hour or two. It mostly depend on your limit in handling the chilly atmosphere that the natives and rulers will try to crush you with."
Once he was finished offering her one of the many warnings concerning their current surroundings, they will finally reach their destination -- the quaint bakery that Soushi enjoys to visit from time to time in Baldr. The tiny shop was filled with all sorts of smells from pastries, homemade bread, and many other sweets. Soushi will offer to open the door to the younger SS agent, "After you."

"Thank you Miketsukami-kun." She even smiled for him, letting him know she was thankful for the offering.
"A time limit?" That didn't make sense to her, she hadn't seen much of the magic that this place seemed to contain, but she believed him anyway. He didn't seem like he'd lie about such a thing.
Karuta entered the shop, and instantly found herself pressing her hands against the glass, eyes wide (wide for Karuta anyway) at the different types of sweets that weren't often found in Japanese bakeries. It wasn't long before she had picked out two different things, a puff pastry with a pink frosting covering it, and a slice of extravagant looking cake.

Thankfully her question to his words of warning caught her attention because he would have been silent the entire time. It would seem as though Ririchiyo's habit of overthinking was beginning to rub off on him. So, with the usual polite smile, he further explained, "This world has placed us under different districts. Each district is controlled by a certain ruler. You are part of Thor, I am part of Heimdall, and we are in Baldr's district. Neither one of us belong here, so we can only stay for a specific amount of time. It would seem as though the rulers do not mind us visiting their districts for an hour. Once you been in their district over an hour, then you will feel a heavy precense trying to scare you away. Although, it only happens while visiting a different Welcome Home from your own. Outside the Welcome Home, it is fine to stay as long as you like. Though, sometimes the natives might ask you to leave." And he is not one to lie to her or anyone especially after arriving to thise world.
Once Karuta picked the pastires she desired for, Soushi will ask the kind baker for a bag of french rolls, cinnamon buns, and a few croissants. He knew Ririchiyo might enjoy a croissant for her breakfast tomorrow. As he paid for the treats, he will turn to Karuta and add, "Along with being allowed to stay for specific amount of time in another district's Welcome Hall, there is something you should know about pricing on certain item. Depending on the relationships between our patron rulers, you can find all sorts of items more expensive than it would be in our own district. If you need to shop for anything, then do so in your own district. I would only recommend going to other districts if you cannot find a certain item." He added that because he knew how the girls loves to eat all sorts of treats. If she wanted her money to last a little longer and have more snacks on hand, then he was offering her that bit of tip.
"Do you wish to eat your treats here or at the park? I did promise to feed the ducks, after all." He will hand her the bag filled with fresh bread rolls as a sign that he was being true to his word.

Already this meeting was the longest she had ever spent with her colleague, and certainly a longer conversation than she was used to. But still she continued talking with the man, extremely happy to have been given food.
The explanation was not lost on the girl, though she only nodded slowly at the end, just to prove she had been listening. It didn't make much sense to her still why she couldn't live with Chiyo-chan, but since Soushi was serious, she figured he wasn't lying.
"Ducks!" she said, making it clear she wanted to see and feed them. After all, thinking about Watanuki made her want to see and hold a duck. And so she asked: "...Can you hold a duck?"
no subject
And then she asked her question, it was more than enough for Soushi to realize that she wanted to eat at the park with the rest of the ducks, so he offered her a soft smile and explained, "I have never been given the pleasure to watch anyone try to do so." He will open the door to the backery, the exit, before adding, "Although, I do not believe there should be no harm in trying. We only need to check if the idea will be approved by the ducks, themselves." He could not help find the idea a tiny bit amusing, but fun. Maybe Roromiya will get lucky and quickly gain their trust by bribing them pieces of the fresh french rolls.
"Let's go, and find out," added Soushi with a much more genuine smile, it would seem as thought he was beginning to feel comfortable with her now.
