What: According to Bulgaria, it's a date.

Where: Beginning with drinks, may end up elsewhere.
Rating: PG to start with (for alcohol references and eventual intoxication?).

"I had many suggestions, you know. It was difficult to decide where to go." So says Bulgaria, leading his northern neighbor through Asgardian streets in the direction of what he's been told is one of the best bars in the city. Now, he hasn't personally visited this one, so it's something of an experiment, but it can't go too badly, right? Of course not.

His other visits to various places had left him wanting a bit more for what he has already proclaimed to be their first date — see, it's true that he does owe Romania for the tour and his initial assistance upon Bulgaria's arrival. But whether or not he has a clear-cut idea of when his debt will be repaid seems to be another thing altogether. It makes his motivations seem a bit fuzzy.

And he's really all right with that. Or, judging by his countenance, he certainly seems to be....

Lively is always what Romania lived for, instantly perking up at the crowds that were packed in together. Of course, Bulgaria wasn't forgotten, the nation turning to grin back at his friend at such an invitation.

"Firstly, I'd like to get acquainted with their selection of alcohol. I'm sure we can all become good friends."

[rakia]

Of course. "To the bar then?" Romania is clearly at the helm here, whether or not it was Bulgaria's invitation that caused them to arrive at this point. And he's perfectly fine with remaining in the background a bit, perfectly all right with letting Romania take the lead and direct them wherever they need to go.

In this case, 'toward the alcohol.'

"That's as a good a place to start as any." And already Romania was making his way to said bar, seating himself on a stool where the space next to him was free before flagging the bartender down.

"I'll have the house special. ... Eh? The dish or drink? I'll take both!"

Bulgaria can only look aside, caught between either looking wholly unsure about this business or chuckling. He said Romania could try whatever he wanted, didn't he? That was the purpose of the outing, to repay his friend for his earlier trouble - that is, for escorting Bulgaria around the area in order that he might be familiarized with it enough that he could find a place like this and take Romania out for dinner.

On a date. Whatever that means.

"Maybe I will have the same. Or should I get something else, so you can try that as well?"

A date. That was such an amusing choice of words, though Romania was content with feigning ignorance. However, maybe his casual stance should be considered.

Yet that was for a later time, the nation now more interested in what they'd be eating and drinking.

"Something different would be good. We can half our meals with that."
