[open] each time you try, gonna get just a little bit better
Who: Lyra AND YOU
What: Lyra is trying to get herself a bit more combat-ready. But maybe using a Lugia as a training partner is starting off a bit too rough?
When: Day 151
Where: The Arena
Rating: probably G unless something happens
[Lyra tumbles over backwards on the field again as Luti banks out of the way before landing not too far from the girl, craning its neck to make sure Lyra is okay. Judging by the myriad grass stains and little scrapes on her arms and legs, she's been at this for a while, but once she stops skidding she sits back up, smiling reassuringly at her Pokemon.]
It's okay, I just lost my balance. Come on, let's do it again!
[Luti makes a little sound of uncertainty, but Lyra leaps back to her feet and it isn't long before Lugia is in the air again--and then diving toward its trainer. Of course, Lyra isn't trying to outmuscle a Lugia--it's avoiding the creature and staying on her feet she's going for. She doesn't really want to hurt anyone, but getting hurt herself isn't going to help anyone out if there's really a war coming.
Skidding to the left makes Luti sail by like a bull in a matador competition, but it turns quickly and swoops for her again. Lyra barely manages to get out of the way this time--and it's the third pass that sends her tumbling once more, landing flat on her back. She stares up at the sky, and then at Luti's face peering down at her.]
You guys make this sort of thing look way easier than it is, y'know?

What's going on? [ But it's just Lyra. It wasn't a Pokémon battle or an actual battle, but the girl still looks scraped and bruised. ] I'm sorry if I'm intruding.

I'm practicing! Or trying to. [She gets up, checking herself over for any new wounds and deciding it's still nothing to worry about.] It's training! But more for me than Luti. [Her voice grows somewhat more hesitant.] There's a war that's supposed to be going on, right?
