[If there's one thing that Nick prizes, one thing invented by human beings which he actually likes, it's alcohol. There's nothing like having your head spin with dazed euphoria, not having to worry about any worries or nagging doubts that hung on after a long day.]

[But the problem is, he's picky. He won't just have any regular alcohol. No, he wants the best, something that will really hit home. He hates this place, he hates numerous people in it, and he wants something that will make him forget about all of that for a good amount of hours. Problem is, he's too lazy to go and find the bar by himself.]

[So, he waits for Euri, hands in his pockets, glaring occasionally at a grey-faced local passing by. He needs his alcohol, and he needed it yesterday. Yeah, sure, he would have to buy drinks for her too, but that was a small price to pay for knowing about a good location to go to when he had enough of the people blabbering about wars and gods and the like.]

[Time to get smashingly drunk.]

You know, if I ever do get a demon to bond with me out of sheer stupidity, I'm going to name it Rover and teach it tricks, like jumping through hoops and fetching the newspaper. Really, just imagining it...

[A pause as he lifts his drink to take a sip again, but then he can't help himself from snickering again, making the glass in his hand shake.]

I mean, just think of the mental image! I'll show it who's boss, just like a ruler would...That'll show it, the little soul stealer.

[And then he grows silent because wait he might have said something he didn't mean to say OOPS...]

[She just about misses it - she's getting pretty offended.]

That isn't how it works, idiot. And what do you mean by 'ruler'?

[There's a pause, and then he snickers again and takes gulp of his drink.]

Like, I'm the ruler of the thing, right? Once it bonds with me, I'm it's master. King of the demons.

[And then he gets a dismissive wave.]

But enough of that...you get my point, right? I'm not going to bond with the things. Not at all. You bond with them all you want.

[Euri sighs heavily, rolling her eyes.]

Yeah, fine. You don't get it anyway, so I'd feel bad for any demon you'd try to bond with. You'd end up doing it all wrong and just insult them.

Yeah, whatever, like I could care less if I did.

[And finishing his second-third?- whatever number drink down, looking over at her with a wide grin.]

Say...you chose the whole butterfly motif for your outfit because of me, didn't you? I'm flattered.

Butterfly motif?? Hardly! I just look good in purple.

[She snorts.]

Besides, I have way more butterfly-ish clothes at the mushroom. This is nothing.

[He reaches over to pick at some of the fabric on her shoulder, as if trying to see it better.]

[She doesn't mind that too much. In fact, she looks amused at the attention.]

[And a slight snicker as he pokes her with a long finger, grin ever so wide.]
