Who: Diva (
madamemoiselle), Kaz (
parasiteye), Shu Ouma (
departing) and eventually Euri (
occulthymns)
What: Diva and Kaz's tastes take a turn from the NPCs.
When: Day 33, evening
Where: The Sigyn District
Rating: PG-13 for vampirism and Diva & Kaz being creepy.
[Once Kaz had gotten back to her with a name, Diva's fangs began to ache. It was a curious quirk, but one that completely made sense. Most of the time, it meant that she was hungry, but over the years it had come to represent her excitement when she was on the hunt. And it was especially wonderful that it was a cute boy like Shu.]
[But, once she had the target, she realized that she was so used to her food being brought to her on a proverbial silver platter. Meaning, her Chevalier were the ones that would find a meal for her and she would just gladly eat. But she was able to figure out at least a little bit about him, and she had a plan despite that. She remembered how her angel friend had objected to her song because of how it manipulated emotions. Diva would have to thank him for giving her the idea.]
[So on the evening they had agreed on, Diva sat near the Sigyn house, enough of in view of the front door to see anyone coming in or out. Now she just had to wait.]
[She couldn't help but hum lightly in anticipation.]

[Wait a minute. She sang a song, right? He figures it's worth mentioning.]
She did something. She sang a song. That was the last thing I remember.
Before I passed out at least. Sorry, I'm not helpful.
no subject
Euri sighs. Might as well just be forward.]
Those injuries you have are bite marks. I think she bit you.
no subject
[Wow, he's not sure what to feel about this.
He looks shocked.]
We were having a normal conversation. I couldn't imagine her doing something like that.
Does that mean I was betrayed?
no subject
I don't know. What were you talking to her about?
no subject
She seemed really friendly. There's no way I can assume that she's the one who did something so horrible.
It was probably just a coincidence.
[He stops talking for a moment so he can heal his wounds.
It's a useful skill. Unfortunately it's not strong enough to completely remove all of the injuries, but it did help. ]
Euridice? I have a favor to ask of you.
no subject
[She frowns at his conclusions, because to her it's blatantly obvious Diva is responsible for this mess.]
What?
no subject
I want to figure out what happened, but I can't do it alone.
no subject
Of course I will! And in that case, I might as well tell you my theory:
That Diva girl is a vampire. Your injuries are really specific, and aside from vampire fangs I have no idea what could have caused them. I bet she lured you into that alley to feed on you.
no subject
Vampires? Those actually exist?
[This is new.]
Ah...
[He looks kind of serious now.]
Diva mentioned something about meals to me earlier. Now I get what she meant.
[Sighh. This is depressing. He planned on cooking food for Diva, not getting bitten himself.
That's not how the food chain works!]
no subject
Which... is terrifying, actually. She's always been terrified of the undead, but she's never come face-to-face with one. It's always been stories or secondhand accounts. She has no idea where to begin. Do they go after Diva with some silver? Can she go out in the daylight? If she fed off Shu, does this mean she still has all her vampire powers? Euri isn't even sure where to start looking.
Not that she wants to. She'd rather let someone with experience hunting vampires handle this.]
What did she say to you? Do you remember?
[Because it's a lot less scary to ask questions than formulate a plan.]
no subject
I had no idea who she was referring to, but she seemed attracted to him.
[Formulating plans that will end in failure. Let's take the question route instead.]
