how slowly we built the walls [ closed ]
Who: John/Pyro and Bobby/Iceman
What: The boys got into a fight again. BIG SURPRISE. Bobby's trying to make amends.
When: Day 273
Where: Baldr Welcome Hall, Room 108
Rating: PG to PG-13
[ Honestly, he meant to do this sooner. As always, his irritation with John drifted away soon after their argument, and regret took its place. However, with all of the chaos of Utgard and the spy, there wasn't any time.
There's a knock on John's door. In his left hand is a plastic bag, which holds a peace offering. He'd call in advance, but he has a feeling that would only end up in another fight. ]

why can't i type...
You should've seen it coming. [ Only, not really, since that gesture isn't as familiar as it once was. ]

John lunges toward him, wrapping an arm around his neck and digging his fist into Bobby's hair. Yes, he is noogying Bobby. No, he doesn't care how immature that is right now.]

Bobby lets out a surprised chuckle, shaking his head for a few seconds before grabbing John's arm with both hands. He'll try to escape the hold around his neck and wrestle him in retaliation. ]

[Yes, he's totally posturing after getting schooled.]

Only 'cause I took pity on you.

Dark, but in such a childish way that it's neither threatening, nor even all that angry.]

He gazes at the ceiling for a moment, and while he doesn't speak the words, the thought is clearly written on his expression: I missed this. ]

He can still remember how confusing and scary that feeling was when he first began to have it, and that unease hasn't lifted - if anything, it's sharply intensified by the reality behind their situation. The fact that one day, they'll have to face being in warring factions. And it's just like Bobby to lose that reality during a pleasant moment, which brings about another stab of mixed affection and annoyance.]
Get up. [He swats Bobby's shoulder, hoping he didn't see anything in Pyro's face that shouldn't have been seen.] This bed's reserved for ladies only.

Make me.
[ Ready for Round Two? ]

But he doesn't have long to think about that before he's grabbing onto one of Bobby's shoulders, trying to roll him right off the bed. Bring it.]

He grasps the arm holding his shoulder and grabs John's other arm with his free hand. He'll grapple with him to prevent himself from budging. ]
no subject
It's a risky move, one which could just end with him pinned, but he's willing to try it.]
no subject
— No, just kidding. Although initially surprised, he focuses his strength on John's arms and flips him over. ]
Nice try.

Get off me, man. [He pushes up with his shoulders, trying to force Bobby off.]

[ With a laugh, he sits up before reaching for the plastic bag and offering it to him. More snacks to help with the bruised ego, John? ]
no subject
[He looks more childish than ever like this, trying to keep up a pout when his mouth just wants to smile in spite of himself. Irritably, he snatches the bag away and grabs a fresh drink, cracking it open.]
no subject
[ Come on, man. It's okay to smile. He gives a knowing look. ]

Just 'cause I'm eighteen doesn't mean I've stopped growing, y'know. My time'll come.
no subject
Whatever you say, dude.
no subject
[Yeah, it's not even a month he's got over Bobby. But he works it whenever he can.]
no subject
I'll work on that, Gramps.
