[ he goes to the rooftop from time to time, to watch the stars and the moon, but also to take photographs of the night-sky since Kaworu is gluing them to the ceiling of his bedroom. While his cat Zadkiel hated to come along with Kaworu, his second cat (a kitten, actually) was more than happy to follow.

Sitting on the roof, the angel watches the moon with the kitten purring loudly in his arms after he took few pictures.

It's peaceful, like that. After such a big battle, it felt good to rest like this, under the stars.] ]

[Jack definitely enjoys nighttime too, the main reason being the lack of the hot sun shining down on him. Even if warmth doesn't affect him anymore, he's still a bit bothered by it. Old habits and all that jazz.

The fight didn't leave him in the best of that states. But as soon as he is feeling better, he goes out to explore and confirm the city is okay. And by that he means, checking on the children.

After peeking into another window, his worry is finally gone, so he climbs to the roof for a break. He doesn't notice Kaworu and his cat nearby though - he just looks up at the Moon and starts talking like he's always done.]

Are you proud of this? I'm managing to keep doing my job, all things considered. You own me a vacation.

[ It's not hard to miss Jack since there aren't many people around at night.

Kaworu watches him for a little while longer, finally realizing he is talking to the sky (the moon? The stars?). When he has the chance, finally he speaks softly ]

Who are you talking to?

[Woah there, way to startle him! In such a pacific night, Jack gets lost in his thoughts and forgets he can now be heard and seen. It's nice and all (very nice), but at moments like this, it makes him want some of his privacy back.]

...the Moon. [It feels a bit silly, saying it out loud. But there is no reason to lie, either. He watches Kaworu for a moment, then arches his eyebrow.] Is that how cats are walked - on the roof?

I'm not sure. I never had cats before, but Asariel doesn't seem to mind.

[ Kaworu smiles brightly at Jack ]

Does the moon answer?

[Jack shakes his head, amused at the fact Kaworu took his questions seriously. Maybe he should get a sarcasm sign or something.]

Word of advice: cats usually own you, not the other way around.

[That question, though. Ugh. It quickly replaces Jack's amusement with a frown.]

...No. The world will end the day that happens.

I don't mind it. I think he is happy like this, at least I hope he is. [ nope, Kaworu doesn't understand sarcasm at all ]

Would you like for it to answer?

Believe me, if he isn't happy, he'll let you know.

[Jack used to have a sweet agreement with cats: leave me alone and I'll return the favor. It never failed.

Kaworu's question makes him roll his eyes. More sarcasm will probably be taken seriously again, won't it?]

[ of course it would. What is sarcasm. ]

What if it's not the answer you want to hear? [ Kaworu smiles softly, his red eyes turning to the moon. ] Because you know it won't answer, you keep asking it [ and so you know you will never hear what you don't want to hear. ]

[He can't help staring at Kaworu. What kind of logic is that? If he didn't want answers, he would use his time for something better. Like pranks.]

I can't expect anything when I don't even know what the bastard is thinking most of the time. A 'hello' would be already be a big step.

Why do you dislike the moon so much? [ it's not this specific moon, Kaworu realizes. If that makes a difference to jack, he will figure out sooner or later ]

[Jack opens his mouth, then closes it again very quickly. He realizes he let himself be dragged by the conversation, and now he isn't sure he should even be talking about this stuff.]

Why do you care?

I'm curious. [ kaworu offers a smile as he pets the kitten asleep in his lap ]

[And that's something Jack can't blame Kaworu for, since he can be curious himself. He looks at the moon then back at the bow with a cat. Maybe he can move the conversation in another direction.]

What do you see? When you look at the moon. [He got some interesting answers out of Lavi, let's see what happens this time.]

However, Kaworu does know what Jack meant. He has been around Allen enough to learn not everything is literal. ]

I also see you. [ and this "you" isn't Jack in particular. So, he adds ] "Lilim".

Do I want to know what a lilim is or I'll get another astronomy lesson?

"Lilim" are those capable of development and growth. Humans, for example, fit the category.

However, if you were to look at it in a broad sense - even cats are. [ Kaworu pets Asariel again. ]

["What does that make me?" Jack wonders. But since his body has changed with his arrival to Asgard, he better not go there. He does recognize the way Kaworu talks, though - mentioning humans as a third party.]

You think of humans when you see the moon? What does that make you anyway?

Humans call my kind "Angels".

[ but either way. ]

What do you see when you think of the moon?

[Jack raises both eyebrows. Angel. Welp. He does believe him, he just didn't see it coming. After three centuries of dealing with supernatural stuff, this is definitely a first one.]

And angels don't grow- woah, no, wait. No think. See. People see different things on it. A face, a rabbit... that's what I asked.

What do you see, then? [ he doesn't bother much with himself. Actually, he is far more interested in Jack. ]

[Jack gives Kaworu A Look. This is going down one dangerous road. Being rescued by the moon is his first memory as a spirit, and he isn't sure he wants to recover that feeling.]

Light. Moonbeams. [That's technically true, ok.] You haven't answered though - unless you literally see 'lilim' shapes up there. That would be a new one.

Remind me to never play "finding shapes in the clouds" with you. We can't let all that evil imagination invade your brain.

[Jack is the first one to admit (and complain) that books aren't accurate when it comes to myths, but this is a little too much off in his opinion.]

Yeah, you know - looking at clouds and trying to guess what they look like. A dog or a shoe or whatever.
