What: Sora shows Euri the wonders of ice cream.

There are some things in the course of a lifetime that people should experience at least once. Falling in love is one (or so everyone says)-- that's a given. Another is fighting for something you believe in. Then, there's also making lifelong friends.

And last, but not least: is ice cream.

That's precisely why he's waiting for Euri in the Freya district. He's got a few places she's sure to love.

Euri isn't taking too long to reach their designated meeting point. This involves food, after all, so the outing is definitely worth it. Though she's already run into some strange foods she would have never heard of back in her own world, ice cream is still unfamiliar. She only has its name to go off of, so she assumes it's something like the flavoured ice people commonly ate in the summer.

When she spies Sora, she's waving and jogging over. "Hey! So where are we headed?"

"Hey!"

Sora's face lights up when he spots Euri, even jogs the rest of the way to meet her.

"It's still pretty early in the day, so you wanna head down to the Carnival? I'll bet they have some there."

No ghouls around until night fall, luckily. Sora learned that the hard when when he first showed up in Asgard.

Euri, being absolutely clueless in regards to the nighttime presence of ghosts in that area, nods. While she's already sure the carnival is going to be different from what she's expecting, she at least knows what one is.

"Sounds good. I haven't been over there yet, anyway." She's pausing and glancing around. "Which way is it?"

"This way! Just follow my lead. Things get kind of dicey at night, but during the daytime, I'm sure it's way better."

She hasn't asked what one is yet, but that still leaves whether or not she's seen one. This way if she hasn't it'll be a double treat!

"Have you ever been to a Carnival before?"

She nods, assuming that he means the area isn't particularly safe at night. Thanks to her poor eyesight she has no desire to be out at night anyway, so it's not an issue.

"Yeah! Well, I know about the ones in my world," she replies conversationally. "I haven't been to the one here yet, so I'm not sure what it's like. I'm guessing you've been there already?"

He rubs the back of his neck a little.

"Once when I was little. Though it was mostly something the town put on by themselves. I wasn't a carnival for real."

He flashes her a grin.

"When I finally got off the islands, that's when I started seeing all the interesting stuff. Like bazaars and fireworks and sunsets that last forever."

"- Wait, wait wait."

And in an instant, she's forgetting about carnivals. Sora has just brought up something even more interesting.

"You're from an island?? Seriously??"

"Yeah. It was called Destiny Islands. Why?"

Sora blinks, and peers over at Euri. He's never really found that a point of interest before. People have asked him about travelling, and all the things he's seen. But usually, they're not all that intrigued by his home.

"Because!"

She's staring at him in complete awe. Islands existed in her world, of course, and she had read about them in the library....

"I've never met anyone who's lived on one of those before! People don't do that back home!" She's exclaiming, taking a few quick steps to get ahead of him, then turning to face him and walking backwards. "What's it like? Do you go in the water? What about fish? Do you eat any weird kinds of fish?"

He can't help but smile. It's starting to sound a little bit like the way he felt when he first started exploring other worlds. Filled with wonder and curiosity.

"Slow down, Euri." He chuckles, and then ponders each question as he remembers it. "Yeah, we went into the water a lot. We grew up by the sea, so it kind of went along with the territory. And we did eat fish- everybody knew how to. Oh! And I have eaten some weird stuff before. The weirdest? Probably starfish."

He turns to her, wondering why she'd ask. "People never really lived on islands where you came from?"

"Nope!" The answer comes easily to her, though to be honest she's only fairly sure she's right. While she knows Witches don't, she isn't entirely certain about the other dominant species in her world.

She's certainly never heard of an island full of elves or welwynn, though, so she's sticking to her answer. "Everyone lives on the continent. I don't even know if habitable islands even exist back home, to be honest.... The ones I've heard about off the coast of Fuggum are apparently small and insignificant."

"At least now, you add one name to the list of people you know who live on an island."

And speaking of curiosity: "Where did you live?"

"Mmm...."

At the question Euri moves back to Sora's side, looking upwards. She's trying to decide the best way to answer that question. There's the honest way, which isn't supposed to be tolerated since he's human... and there's the typical way, which is the foundation for a lot of Witch rumours.

"A cursed mushroom forest!" She replies casually. "It's not the kind of place you can just walk into. If you tried that chances are you'd die."

The typical way has always been more fun.

"No wonder you like mushrooms so much." It's also explain a few other curious choices in food, including goat meat. He's sure it tastes just fine, but... it's not his first choice.

"Huh!? Well if you can't go in without dying, how're you supposed to in and out of the forest?"

She seems far too calm about this! This forest sounds dangerous!

"Well, it's normal humans who have that problem." Euri hums a little, grinning smugly at this piece of information. "Witches don't have that problem, since we're innately magical."

Which is true. The forest is cursed, and it is incredibly easy for humans to get lost in it. That isn't guaranteed to happen, but it's occurred often enough that humans very rarely traveled into the area. She's going to neglect to mention that the humans that do manage to get into the forest in one piece (usually Light Keepers) are taken care of by Witches. He seems too nice to know that sort of thing.

"So you're a witch then," He says, curious at the concept. He's relieved that Euri's not risking her life every time she goes in and out of a forest. It makes a lot more sense. But worry and surprise give way to intrigue. It's Sora's turn to sound a little fascinated now. He hasn't He hasn't met any witches before, except for one or two in Halloween Town, but he's not sure if they count.

"What're witches like where you come from?

Euri automatically puffs up at his questions. Here we go, this is a fun subject.

"They're great! They're the best species on the entire continent! We're good at magic and we're superior to humans in every way.~"

It's kind of funny the way Euri reacts. She looks a little taller all of a sudden, chest out, back straight, smug expression. He's got a feeling, once he gets her started, she'll be on a roll.

"You really think so?"

"I know so! Humans are just a bunch of uncivilized bumpkins," she's replying smugly. After a moment, though, she's blinking and pausing.

Then she'll add, "No offense. That's just how humans are - especially the ones in my world. Most of the ones here haven't been much different, too."
