Who: Segai Waltz Makoto (texting) and YOU!
What: The one where Segai makes observations and does crosswords while being weird at the people who bothers him.
When: Afternoon, February 17.
Where: Gefion Park (Baldr District).
Rating: PG-13.
[ Segai acquired about ten crossword puzzle magazines. Tucked under his arm, he goes to find a place where he can sit to do them. It seems he has to conserve the power of his cellphone, but he has finally finished the ones he downloaded onto it.
He pauses for a second when he saw the eight-legged horse. With some adjusting of the magazines in his arms, he takes out his cellphone to take a picture of it. He stares at his phone for a moment as he wonders if he should switch out the background of his phone or not. No, he is rather happy with his current one.
Closing his phone, he finds a bench and begins his work. ]

[ Segai takes a seat down at his bench, once more. ]
I suppose it isn't. You can continue to be misled by others. In the end, it doesn't affect me anymore. Since there is no GHQ, no Anti-Bodies, I need not worry about you murdering my soldiers.

I have my reasons for fighting.
[Fighting to protect everyone in the Funeral Parlor. They were the ones who believed he could do something. Then he remembered Segai's words.
Beware of those who tell you to believe in yourself, Shu.
Does that mean he should be weary of the Funeral Parlor? He can't think straight right now.]

[ And he is. The two just seem to be unable to tell each other how they feel -- if he was a more benevolent person, he'd help them out. But since he had nothing to occupy his time, he feels like teasing them a bit instead.
He opens his puzzle to where he was, and starts filling in the spaces. ]
Yes. [ A beat. ] And people have their reason for using you. I'm sure they'll find reasons here. A young man who has powers in this world and no sense of self ... it does tend to make it easier for those who you see as friends to ensure that you do as they say.
[ His smile widens, though, not because of what he is saying, but because he has figured out one of the answers! ] But you can do as you like. It no longer concerns me. I merely felt for old time's sake ... I would try to help you out.

Such was the case today, when she'd gone searching for him, only to come across him halfway through his encounter in the park. She listened only briefly and didn't like just about anything she was hearing in this conversation. The girl took only a moment to load the pistol she was now carrying in her pocket.
*BLAM*
A bullet hole stood smoking only a few inches from Segai's feet now. Inori was no longer taking cover behind a tree and standing out in the open.]
Shu. Please come over here.

That's...
[Crazy, but he can't deny the fact that he's been betrayed once already in Asgard. Oddly enough, Segai's sentiments make him feel insecure. He managed to make new friends in this world, but would it be a good idea to distrust them?
The sounds of firearms managed to startle him. Thankfully it was someone he knew, but he couldn't help but be confused.
He glanced over to the place where Inori fired at. Then walked over to Inori's side feeling sort of perplexed. ]

Inori Yuzuriha, we were just talking about you.
[ Ah, another answer that he is able to figure out. He is not even remotely troubled about the fact that Shu goes to stand by her. If anything, he responds by putting his magazine over his face. He feels that this would make him seem less of a threat and not end up being shot at. There is a small percent chance that she will shoot him, but he feels that Shu would stop her before that happens.
He has already implanted the thought in his head, after all, so he need not worry about any injury. Besides, even she is aware that there is no one to protect or forgive her for injuring someone who is acting as he is acting. While he can provoke them with words, because he enjoys teasing them -- he feels that the percentage of him being injured rises just a little, but not enough to be concerned about it. ]
Were you aware that Shu Ouma knows nothing about you? After all the time that you two have been together, he knows nothing of what goes on in your head. I feel that's rather depressing for you to be with someone who trusts you yet doesn't know you. The same could be said for him, of course, since I doubt you understand him any better.

Whatever this man was talking about, she didn't even want to hear it. She would be at Shu's side regardless of how little or much he knew about her. Or vice versa. She raised her gun, aiming it straight at him now.]

He stared at the gun for a while and he felt rather indecisive.
Was it okay for Inori to fire out in the open that way?
None of that matters. The only thing he wanted to do right now is to get Inori out of harms way.
The easiest way of doing that would be to put the gun down. Segai himself said that Inori would be in danger.
Now's the time for him to stop being an utter coward and do something for once. ]

[He might have needed a moment to gather the courage to voice his own tohughts, but he spoke clearly.]
Put the gun down, please. I don't want you to get hurt.
