love is a very powerful force
Who: Lord Voldemort (
flightofdeath) and Rose Tyler (
badwolf)
What: Rose using her love powers against the evil Dark Lord. Voldemort being a grumpy gills during the event.
When: Forward-dated to the sweater event! So day 371.
Where: Some snowy part of Asgard. Really specific I know.
Rating: PG to PG-13? We'll see.
[When it comes to Voldemort's sense of humor, being the victim of pranks was perhaps the farthest from his particular brand than anything else. However, despite this, he knows he cannot very well let it halt his activity for the day. In fact, he is of the mind that if he did, that would mean whoever set up the prank would be winning, and Lord Voldemort does not admit defeat so easily.
It is for that reason that he is out and about on this day wearing an ugly Santa sweater with six Santas in little boxes. If anyone bothered to look closely, however, they might notice little differences in the Santas... Differences that, perhaps to the unknowing eye, might simply be a design choice. One holding a cutesy diary, another holding up a hand with a ring on his finger... One wearing a pretty princess tiara along with his usual Santa hat, another drinking from a mug that has a badger on it... a locket on another... one with a snake on his shoulders...
This all might seem a bit strange, but once he turns his back, there is another Santa, one hidden from his view and his knowledge: this Santa is wearing round glasses, and has a strange looking scar on his forehead...
Clearly, this is the work of the gods. Which god, Voldemort can surely guess (and guess correctly), but he will not let the trickster's ridiculous sense of humor allow his progress to pause. If Loki thinks he can get away with this, he has another thing coming. But he notices he is not alone in his plight, either: every traveler he sets eyes on seems to have been blessed with a hideous way to stay warm. It is utterly ridiculous, and a humor he does not share.
So what he does in retaliation is go about his day as usual, as though nothing is different.
The only issue with that is that means he's going about his day as usual in a blizzard, and that gets him stuck in a random nearby building to wait for the worst of it to pass before he can make the rest of the way to the rune guild. It's only after he seeks his shelter, brushing off the snow that clings to his ridiculous sweater, that he realizes someone has already occupied the building for their own purposes.]

MOST AWESOME LAME TAG EVER !!
Just made it, yeah?
[ Out of the storm. Well, the worst of it. ]
this is so late ilu ely i'm sorry
Loki will rue this day. [He says with just as much anger as he allows, and ultimately is more matter-of-fact, just enough that she may interpret it as not serious. Just enough that it may be made light of it, could come across as self-aware rather than entirely serious. But the question remains, and she may voice it if she wishes but he will not lend explanation if she does not.]
It seems the world itself is lending to our torment. [He pointedly looks at her own ensemble as he says it.]
shhhhhhhhhhh your face
Mm, I don't think it's that bad. A bit annoying- but at least they're warm?
[ She's making the best of it, but really, the tone of voice... She hates it, too. ]

The holiday represented by these sweaters... Does your world practice it?
[Earth, he's asking about. He is fairly certain he knows the answer to this question, but pretending to know less than he does is not something he's new to.]

If you're a bit pissed, I s'pose. It's more just for fun.

[And a Muggle, he supposes too readily.]

I'm Rose, by the way. Since we're both stuck here for the foreseeable future.

[It's said simply, as though it were any other name, and even with a small and polite smile.]

Lord .. Voldemort.
[ Well, she quite obviously knew that name. And even had a reason to pass knowing it off here, too. How convenient. Even still, her guard does slowly creep up. ]
Somethin' about blokes and lording themselves. [ Muttered. Muttered. ]
Sorry about the sweater.

Do you recognize something about this sweater?
[And he watches her, intently, wanting to study her answer.]
