paying someone a visit shouldn't be so dificult (closed)
Who: Soushi Miketsukami (
discrepant & Elsa (
liberee).
What: Soushi is going to pay Elsa a visit, after she informing him over the gift Anna left behind for him.
When: Early evening; backdated to 459.
Where: Freya Welcome Hall; Elsa's room.
Rating: G.
[The moment their conversation had ended. Soushi was left alone to his own devices as he had so much to do before he could pay Elsa his promised visit.
After an hour or two later, closely to the time where the sun was almost gone for the day, true to his word, there will be a gentle knock at her door. Her room was a floor before his own. Not too surprising as he didn't even know most of those living in the same floor as he did, so the thought of knowing who lived in the floor before him was less likely. It almost made him wonder where Anna's room used to be. To be perfectly honest, he never asked Anna even when she had asked him over his room number. He can't help feel guilt in not having spent more time with the younger red-head as she was a joy to be around with.
As he waits for Elsa to open her door, Soushi will begin to fix his dark-colored tie while keeping his head low, so no one would recognize him. He was currently dressed in a dark hooded trench coat, dark gloves, and dark pants as well. Almost everything about him was in black except for his white collar shirt. His face was almost the only part of his body that could be seen under the hood covering his fox ears. The fox mask was tied around the left side of his waist. At the moment, he only hopes showing his face out like this will not be a mistake as it was the first time since his return to the city that he has ever left his home without it. Needless to say, he was feeling uneasy as he waited outside for Elsa.]

Figuring it must be Soushi, she quickly marks her place in the book and goes to answer the door, opening it and stepping aside to allow him to enter. As he does and passes her inside, she tries not to stare too much, though she is curious about the mask, the different attire than he usually wore when she saw him before.]

Thank you for welcoming me to your home, Elsa-san. It's an honor to meet you this evening. I do hope I was not interrupting you.
[A smile will be offered, a weak and polite one, as he knew his next question might hurt more than seem polite, but he wished to know her current state regardless.]
How do you feel today?
no subject
[It gets him a small, almost wry smile as she shakes her head a bit and she shuts the door behind him. And no, she's not particularly busy, given she is back from work for now and merely reading one of the books she found in the library.]
You're not interrupting, it's fine. As for how I'm feeling.....well. I'm trying to get by. Keep myself busy and not.....dwell too much on it.
[Maybe not. Entirely successfully, because it is a lot harder to try ignore the realities of what she was told comes to pass back home when Anna is sent back into it all. It was easier while her sister was here, with her and relatively safe.]

[Another smile will be offered before deciding to refrain from bowing a second time as a way to prove his word over the matter. He will patiently listen to her response to his own question which he can understand.]
Keeping yourself busy with an endless supply of activities and acquaintances to choose from, I've found, helps in adjusting with the thought of being without those you are very close to. It's been almost an entire year since I've been by my master's side. If it has not been for those I have better acquainted with, I do not believe I would have survive as long as I have... [The simple thought of those he was speaking about will leave him feeling slightly guilty, but nostalgic all at once.
Quickly, he will decide to ask her another while trying to find a middle ground to his formal way of speaking.] If I may, have you paid a visit to any of this city's unique landmarks? Such as the theater in Freyr's district, the comfort house in Freya's district, or the theme park in Hel's district?
no subject
[She listens to him explain, nodding and looking to him in sympathy. She knows how hard it is to be without someone you care for, even if she didn't know his master personally.]
I find plenty of ways to keep myself distracted. Usually by ready, mostly. But I do try and get outside more often here at least. And I've had quite a few visitors lately.
[Most of whom were checking up on her for obvious reasons, of course. But still. It's more than she had back home.]
I know of them. But I've never been yet. I know Samantha was talking about the hot pools? The theater might be fun to have a look at though. Though I must ask, what is a theme park, exactly?
no subject
[He is certain Anna would prefer Elsa to enjoy her stay in Asgard instead of allowing herself to be holed up in her room.
Soushi will continue to silently listen to Elsa over her plans to visit the theater in the near future and Samantha having spoken to take her to Freya's comfort inn by the sound of it.]
You should visit whenever you have the chance to. The productions the natives offer in the theater are quite enjoyable. Freya's Comfort Inn is an equally wonderful establishment that will assist in relaxation and enjoyment. The women at the inn are extremely amiable. [As for the theme park, Soushi will take a moment to find a proper response that she would understand.] An amusement park is another way to refer to a theme park. It is an establishment, where many individuals go to partake in active activities such as rides, games, and eating delicious meals that are not sold any where else. Hel's district has such establishments in their district. You should visit in the early hours, if you wish to fully enjoy the sights and sounds offered. Traveling in a group would be far more enjoyable to going alone or as a single pair.
no subject
[But ah. She's trying not to dwell on that too much. Mostly unsuccessfully, but trying.]
Oh. The theme park does sound....interesting. What sorts of...rides? [Because when he says that, yeah she thinks of horses.] I will keep that in mind though. About the time and larger groups being preferable.
no subject
[As for the rides, Soushi will begin to explain one of his favorite ones by far.]
In the center of the theme park in Hel's district there is a giant metal wheel that offers a comfortable ride from the ground to the sky. It reaches high enough towards the sky that it offers you a beautiful view of the district and the rest of the park. It's most beautiful to visit at night if you wish to see stars on the ground as there are many lights filling the city that resemble them in a way. [The ferris wheel was definitely a ride he wishes to take his master to if she ever arrived to the city.] As for any other rides, I believe it might be best if you paid the district a visit to find out. I do not wish to ruin the possible adventure for you. [Yup. He is definitely trying to get her curious enough to visit the amusement park now.]
no subject
[Guessing here, of course. Because she has never actually been to one before, obviously.]

[Once he believes the topic of amusement parks has ended, Soushi will decide to cut to the chase as his tails, which were hidden under his trench coat were beginning to move wildly behind him. Nine long fluffy tails were very difficult to hide especially when he no longer has full control of them. His hands will be places behind him as he decides to simply ask.]
...I apologize if my next inquiry sounds abrupt... [But.] What did your dear sister leave behind for me? [After all.] ...I am still having a difficult time believing she would leave anything behind for me... [And that was the truth over the matter, he was still surprise to know the younger sister had left anything behind for him. No one usually does that...]
no subject
[If she notes the tails, she doesn't say anything. Simply gives a nod and turns to her desk, bringing out a small doll from the drawer that looks like him, passing it over with a small, empathetic smile.]
She left this for you. I have the ones she was given as a gift from home, of the two of us.

[When Elsa offers him the small toy, Soushi's expression was more than enough to decipher his current feelings over the matter -- astonish and touched by the sentiment. After all, he now had a toy just like Anna and Elsa's, and it was one that Anna must have either paid to create or sewed herself. Soushi was not an expert over the matter, so he will hold onto the toy and examine it.]
...Anna-san had once shown me the doll you're speaking of. It was how I knew you were her sister. You resemble the doll she had shown me and told me so much about. [A crestfallen smile will appear as he held onto the doll.] ...so this is what she meant at that time. [And that thought alone will have him growing quiet as he places a gloved hand over his eyes, trying to keep himself from crying in front of the other girl. He didn't want to make her sad too. Which made him realize just how much he is going to miss the younger sister. She was a good person which he greatly enjoyed her company and conversations while it lasted. He never knew someone could make him feel the way he did. It was clear to him that Anna was a friend, someone he grew to care and worry over. An action he never thought he would have felt for anyone other than his master if it weren't for the city he was currently in. Right now, it was difficult to determine if he felt happy or even worse the more he thought about it.] ...this is the second time....the second time anyone has given me a gift such as this. I'm uncertain over the best way to react...I can't show my gratitude towards her now. [Which made him feel even worse over now.]
no subject
[Elsa blinks at his explanation, his expression as he takes the doll. He really does seem rather upset over this. She's not sure if waiting to give it to him might have helped at all or not. But Elsa had hoped giving out the things Anna wanted her friends to have might cheer them at least a little. Giving them something to remember her by.
The dolls in question are at her bed, propped to sit against her pillow.]
My--our parents gave them to her. They thought the dolls might help, after....after the accident. But I'm sure she would be glad that you have this one now. I imagine she intended to give it to you sooner if she could have. The gratitude is obvious to me already.
no subject
[That detail will definitely catch his attention a he takes the moment to wipe his tears away. He knew he shouldn't be upset, but he was. It was difficult to shake it off especially after feeling emotionally weak after returning from his home world.
He will turn his attention to the dolls by her head as he admires them from the distance. A small smile will form as he looks at the dolls.]
...thank you. It's difficult to act on my emotions when I rarely feel them. I do not have many I could refer to as a friend. I'm inexperience in that particular field. My master is all I have... [Then he grows quiet as he begins to admire his own doll now, trying his best to forget his master. He didn't want to reveal he was directly involved in her death. This time he is trying his best to smile.] Toys. I was never given the chance to play with them when I was a child neither. It's funny how a present like this can mean so much to someone... [Pause. He will turn to Elsa as he uses his toy self to bow his head and extend one of his small hands. He will be using the toy and speak in a lighter tone of voice as a way to make it seem the doll was speaking.] Thank you very much for returning me to my new owner, Elsa-sama. I am in your debt for looking after me. [All the small head bowing.]
no subject
[Or. why she tried to shut herself away, terrified of hurting her sister again, or anyone else. But she listens with a nod.]
I'm...not much more experienced than you. After that, I shut myself away in my room. I didn't really have anyone else besides the castle staff and my parents until they died in a ship wreck. So I can understand that. Anna and I didn't really need much in the way of toys when I used to play with her using my snow and ice. But I'm glad I could do this much at least for you.
no subject
It would seem she regained her memories over the situation. With the way she spoke over your ice and snow abilities. I found them to be amazing, when I first heard about them. Not even the snow woman in my world possess the ability to give life to snowmen.
[Encouragement, that is all he could do or say. Maybe reflect a little of Anna's admiration towards her. Or it could be his own way of encouraging, it was difficult to say if he was or wasn't.
A small smile will appear as he hears the rest of her thoughts over the matter. He could not help feel a tinge of envy as he has felt for Anna over having a sibling, someone to be by her side, keep her company, and played with her. If only he had someone to call a sibling towards, who would feel no hard feelings towards him due to his own position concerning their blood.]
...it would seem we are alike in the matter of understanding loneliness and being forced to hide ourselves away from the outside world. [But at least.] You had Anna-san by your side. Your parents before they met their...untimely end, I assume? [A short pause.] Did the castle staff treat you and Anna-san well? It sounds as though they have from the way you mention them...? [At least, he likes to think so.]
