OPEN; THE NEIGHBORS CLUB WELCOMING PARTY

[mishaps]

Who: Anyone interested in attending the party announced a few days ago. Hosts of the party include Kodaka (mishaps), Sena (meatshields), & Yozora (playerkills). This also includes those who signed up for the speed friend making activity and other club members! Anyone who is even slightly interested in the club may post in the log (but please, only those who signed up for speed friending event participate in it!)
What: The Neighbors Club is having a welcoming party/practice party! Hooray for activities and welcoming back Kodaka to the club. Please ignore my fail of typing the event as speed dating as it is speed "friending" my bad!
When: A few days after it the initial party announcement post.
Where: The Neighbors Club Room located in Sigyn.
Rating: PG-13 AFAIK!


[Kodaka had left most of the event planning to Yozora and Sena as it was actually something that kept them busy. Kodaka knows when those two are idle and bored, bad things happen and they just end up fighting. He's actually surprised how much Yozora has taken this party thing seriously... and he's still shocked that it's technically meant for him. He's had birthdays with family members and school members, sure, but nothing like this; he's never had friends throw a party for him. He assumes Yozora throws the party for practice mostly, though.

He places a tray of onigiri (with various stuffings such as salmon, chicken, and picked vegetables.) down on a table next to a bowl of punch. There are cups and plates also on the table. He hasn't made this much food since he was back at home, and he actually doesn't mind. It's something for him to do, and without school and Kobato around, it feels like chunk of his life is missing.

He looks at his bracelet and realizes people should start coming in soon.]

[ so being the failbutt she is, ririchiyo is just sitting at the drink area, looking a bit (very) nervous. h o w e v e r, were anyone to interact with her. . . expect verbal abuse. and plenty of it. ]

[he's glad she showed up, and for that he comes over to her, holding out a cup with some punch in it.] Hey.

[ she’s taken by surprised abruptly as she hadn’t really expected Kodaka to come over, and while she accepts the punch she acts as though she had expected to see him. or wasn’t particularly fazed. ] Ah, it’s just you Hasegawa. Thank you.

Naturally, I’ve been in good health. [ such a... blunt answer ]

That's good. [oh no what is small talk...]

How did the speed friending go?

[patronizing]

Hmph, it went decently. I can’t say that anyone sparked my interest though. Though, something like that is to be expected after all. People can’t please everyone. [ awkward small talk f o r e v e r ]

There was only a small amount of time, so maybe talking to some of them again might change things. Most people involved in the activity are either members or thinking about joining, so you'll probably see them again.

[patronizing]

What makes you think I want to go for another round with communicating with them? It was like talking to a brick wall. [ no ririchiyo, all the stubborn vibes were coming from you ]

There was a reason they signed up for the activity, and you must have had a reason, too. [ignoring that front oh you...] And you forgot I talked to the same people you did, and most wanted to talk.

[patronizing]

[ just going to. collapse all glooming here sob. ]

T-That. . . Impossible.

[not giving in! he is terrible but good in this way.] Maybe you should look at what you did and how you behaved. We're about improving our skills on making friends here, and if we let our bad habits continue we'll remain friendless.

[but he'll say some nice words.] Maybe this activity wasn't for you. The other founding members probably wouldn't be too good at it either.

[ ever so slowly, her defenses are dropping down rapidly as she stares at the floor, quite clearly in a state of depression. look back on what she’d done? well, she’d been herself which is the most important part. but, still, she had exchanged some cruel words to some, if not all, the people she interacted with.

bad habits . . . of course, that was to blame for all this. everything came down to it, and the outcome was always the same no matter what. how did she improve it, where does she even start? see that dark cloud hovering over this small, tiny body? that would be her feeling more and more worse. ]

Peacefully nervous. Poor thing, poor thing.

[ She sticks her hand out to pat Ririchiyo on the head. Poor thing, poor thing... ]

Wh, What are you doing...? [ but she’ll admit, those headpats felt kind of nice but... that was beside the point..!! ] It’s rude to suddenly start touching people like that!

[ all that petting gets a huff from her, but at the same time feeling where she’d been petted before deciding to ignore the little bubble of happiness she felt. ] Hmph. That would be much appreciated.

[ what's that weird feeling in the air? the sensation fo being watched? could it be? why yes there is a sena kashiwazaki standing not too far away observing the loli headpat fest. she's not even jelly over ririchiyo getting a headpat from rika

[ sena’s staring does not go unnoticed (it’s hard not to notice it really) while ririchiyo sideglances with an irritable expression as though she were holding back on saying lots of things, most of them abusive. she’s so not enjoying being watched so closely, especially after hearing the sound coming out her mouth which, frankly, sent horrible chills up her spine. ]

. . . It’s impolite to stare, you know.

[ And of course, Rika can hear that too. She might be used to others staring at her sometimes, but she does like to the pull the embarrassed act. She links her hands behind her back and lowers her head timidly. ]
