OPEN; THE NEIGHBORS CLUB WELCOMING PARTY

[mishaps]

Who: Anyone interested in attending the party announced a few days ago. Hosts of the party include Kodaka (mishaps), Sena (meatshields), & Yozora (playerkills). This also includes those who signed up for the speed friend making activity and other club members! Anyone who is even slightly interested in the club may post in the log (but please, only those who signed up for speed friending event participate in it!)
What: The Neighbors Club is having a welcoming party/practice party! Hooray for activities and welcoming back Kodaka to the club. Please ignore my fail of typing the event as speed dating as it is speed "friending" my bad!
When: A few days after it the initial party announcement post.
Where: The Neighbors Club Room located in Sigyn.
Rating: PG-13 AFAIK!


[Kodaka had left most of the event planning to Yozora and Sena as it was actually something that kept them busy. Kodaka knows when those two are idle and bored, bad things happen and they just end up fighting. He's actually surprised how much Yozora has taken this party thing seriously... and he's still shocked that it's technically meant for him. He's had birthdays with family members and school members, sure, but nothing like this; he's never had friends throw a party for him. He assumes Yozora throws the party for practice mostly, though.

He places a tray of onigiri (with various stuffings such as salmon, chicken, and picked vegetables.) down on a table next to a bowl of punch. There are cups and plates also on the table. He hasn't made this much food since he was back at home, and he actually doesn't mind. It's something for him to do, and without school and Kobato around, it feels like chunk of his life is missing.

He looks at his bracelet and realizes people should start coming in soon.]

Seems useless that they aren't... [ continuing to eat just munching along thoughtfully ]

Next time, I'll help you with the food. [ it kinda just slips out of him without really thinking, not that he minds, but he is in a good happy this is almost like family place at the moment and he seems content to eat half-bad food ]

Maybe it's for the better. [yep he is going to be that blunt because those girls can be hideous.] Some people might not be used to how they are.

I'll keep that in mind. [who knows when that will be, but another hand would help a lot.] How have you been? How are things with your girlfriend?

[giver]

She's very efficient at battling ice fairies. That was a pleasant surprise. [ stuffing his face ]

You could have added more salt.

[mishaps]

So she's into self defense? [he still has no idea who his girlfriend is sob.]

[shrug.] Maybe, but too much salt isn't healthy.

[giver]

Yeah, I guess. [ just kinda shrugging too he talks more about food than his girlfriend... ]

It adds more flavor, though. It can bring out the vegetable's taste. You should include cabbage rolls next time, too.

[mishaps]

You should know what her hobbies and interests are as her boyfriend. [he is right but KODAKA you loser you've never had a girlfriend get out with these lecture.]

... I was hoping the filling would offset that since they are strong. [shrug.] When I have more time and ingredients, I'll make more elaborate things, maybe. I didn't want anything to heavy, and rice balls are a safe snack.

[giver]

I'll find out. [ he says absent-mindedly his eyes are still glued to the rice balls ]

It's not a bad decision, but the next meeting should speak more boldly. Bland food can bring down the atmosphere.

[mishaps]

It's not that under seasoned. [and oh nooo he's now worried his food could be the possible downfall of the party OF ALL THE THINGS.]

You found your sister, right? Is she settling in alright?

[giver]

[ he was picking up the food to eat it, but he lowers it again. ] I haven't.

[ short, clipped. he moves on with an easy smile. ] It's not that bad, no. You did a fair enough job, especially considering the amount.

[mishaps]

We should get a few people and help you look for her.

[at least he feels less butthurt about his cooking now.] I just cook meals for myself and my sister mostly these days.

[giver]

[ the first statement takes him somewhat by surprise, so much that he might never finish that ball ] ... It's good. The food.

Is this club any good for that sort of function?

[mishaps]

... thanks.

It's not why we exist, but I'd think some people wouldn't mind help you.

[giver]

It'd be... appreciated.

I can't see it doing more harm than good. [ he is being honest and open for once, frank, but very realistic. he is surprised by the suggestion, but pleased. ]

[mishaps]

I'll bring it up to the club, but you'll have to be there with me to convince them. We could say it's an activity on learning how to help your friends.

[giver]

Trick them into doing it? Is the club really filled with that sort of people?

[ but despite saying that, he seems to visibly relax in the confidence that tricking people to do things was more secure than actually asking them ]

[mishaps]

It's not a trick, but it's good to point out what members would learn from it so they'd feel more involved in it and work harder.

You have a lot of friends, right? You help them out when they need it the most, don't you? Even when it's not easy.

[giver]

You could say that.

I'm glad for the opportunity, then. [ an afterthought: ] Have you found your sister?

[mishaps]

No I haven't. [he's quiet for a little bit.] I searched in a district she'd probably be in, even some others, but no one has seen a girl like her. Not to mention she sticks out easily from a crowd.

[giver]

The districts do seem to attract a certain type of... person.

What district did you think she'd be in?

[mishaps]

Possibly Freyr from what I was told of it.

From what I remember, your sister would probably be in Sigyn from the way you described her.

[giver]

It does seem to fit her. [ a gentler smile at the thought of his sister ]

Have you used your powers yet?

[mishaps]

Not much, what about you? What can you do?

[giver]

Not much.

I see you survived the ice fairies. [ in an off-handed sort of way at least say "i'm glad you survived" kanba ]

[mishaps]

Seems you survived, too. [and that's his way of saying 'thanks glad to hear you say that i guess......'] I just stayed inside or in the club room.

[giver]

I suppose they weren't dangerous fairies. I didn't hear of any causalities.

The healing powers, though. They could be useful.
