OPEN; THE NEIGHBORS CLUB WELCOMING PARTY

[mishaps]

Who: Anyone interested in attending the party announced a few days ago. Hosts of the party include Kodaka (mishaps), Sena (meatshields), & Yozora (playerkills). This also includes those who signed up for the speed friend making activity and other club members! Anyone who is even slightly interested in the club may post in the log (but please, only those who signed up for speed friending event participate in it!)
What: The Neighbors Club is having a welcoming party/practice party! Hooray for activities and welcoming back Kodaka to the club. Please ignore my fail of typing the event as speed dating as it is speed "friending" my bad!
When: A few days after it the initial party announcement post.
Where: The Neighbors Club Room located in Sigyn.
Rating: PG-13 AFAIK!


[Kodaka had left most of the event planning to Yozora and Sena as it was actually something that kept them busy. Kodaka knows when those two are idle and bored, bad things happen and they just end up fighting. He's actually surprised how much Yozora has taken this party thing seriously... and he's still shocked that it's technically meant for him. He's had birthdays with family members and school members, sure, but nothing like this; he's never had friends throw a party for him. He assumes Yozora throws the party for practice mostly, though.

He places a tray of onigiri (with various stuffings such as salmon, chicken, and picked vegetables.) down on a table next to a bowl of punch. There are cups and plates also on the table. He hasn't made this much food since he was back at home, and he actually doesn't mind. It's something for him to do, and without school and Kobato around, it feels like chunk of his life is missing.

He looks at his bracelet and realizes people should start coming in soon.]

[Momoka smiles, and while there's the slightest hint of melancholy there, it's easily overwhelmed by her genuine happiness at the idea.]

I am. I'm sure she'll be a really good little sister. I want to be able to teach her important things.

[giver]

Really? [ he shifts his weight forward slightly, elbows on his knees, a posture of slightly more than casual interest ]

What do you consider important?

[rewrites]

Hmm...

[Momoka looks pensive, as she thinks of all the things she'd love to teach her little sister.]

There are a lot of important things... But I think the most important thing I'd teach her is to always look for the good things. Everyone has good in them, if you pay attention.

[giver]

[ uninteresting and useless but he smiles pleasantly and chuckles heartily ] Of course. I like to think that, too. [ no you don't ]

When are you expecting her?

[rewrites]

[Momoka smiles as cheerily as always.]

She was going to be born today--the "today" I came from.

[giver]

This might seem like a strange question, but what was the "today" of your time?

[rewrites]

March 10, 1995.

Are you from the same place I am?

[giver]

[ there is a momentary reaction to that date, a blink and miss it situation, where he does seem taken aback

but of course, quickly replaced with a small laugh ] A little ahead of your time, I think. Not that it matters here.

It might. It depends on who else is here, right?

[Smiling.]

Do you know my sister?

[giver]

[ he eyes her for the first part of that statement, trying to gauge if it's a threat, but he takes it as a meaningless small talk and lets it go ]

My younger brother knows her better. Would you be surprised if she came here?

[rewrites]

It would be a good kind of surprised. I'd get to talk to her and learn about how she grew up.

[giver]

Were you going to do something special about her birth? Get her a present, perhaps?

[rewrites]

That's what I was doing before I ended up here.

[Her present to Ringo and to the world, really. It would have been worth it, though, she was sure.]

Getting a little sister is really special.

[giver]

It is. [ his voice softens for a second from joviality ]

What was the present?

[rewrites]

It's a secret.

[She smiles, childishly. Momoka isn't sure who the knowledge of what she plans on doing might get back to if she says it--the people in charge of the whole operation, maybe, or even just someone who might try to save her. She has to be careful.]

I hope she likes it, though.
