OPEN; THE NEIGHBORS CLUB WELCOMING PARTY

[mishaps]

Who: Anyone interested in attending the party announced a few days ago. Hosts of the party include Kodaka (mishaps), Sena (meatshields), & Yozora (playerkills). This also includes those who signed up for the speed friend making activity and other club members! Anyone who is even slightly interested in the club may post in the log (but please, only those who signed up for speed friending event participate in it!)
What: The Neighbors Club is having a welcoming party/practice party! Hooray for activities and welcoming back Kodaka to the club. Please ignore my fail of typing the event as speed dating as it is speed "friending" my bad!
When: A few days after it the initial party announcement post.
Where: The Neighbors Club Room located in Sigyn.
Rating: PG-13 AFAIK!


[Kodaka had left most of the event planning to Yozora and Sena as it was actually something that kept them busy. Kodaka knows when those two are idle and bored, bad things happen and they just end up fighting. He's actually surprised how much Yozora has taken this party thing seriously... and he's still shocked that it's technically meant for him. He's had birthdays with family members and school members, sure, but nothing like this; he's never had friends throw a party for him. He assumes Yozora throws the party for practice mostly, though.

He places a tray of onigiri (with various stuffings such as salmon, chicken, and picked vegetables.) down on a table next to a bowl of punch. There are cups and plates also on the table. He hasn't made this much food since he was back at home, and he actually doesn't mind. It's something for him to do, and without school and Kobato around, it feels like chunk of his life is missing.

He looks at his bracelet and realizes people should start coming in soon.]

Masako. Her name is Masako. [ he squeezes her arm even more tightly for a moment, before releasing it to lean on the chair in an almost friendly fashion, though his message was clear

he'd let her stay, but play nice ] Sorry, she doesn't seem to understand how to play this game at all. Forgive her.

I'm perfectly capable of introducing myself. Masako Natsume. [ She smiles again at Kanba, if only to say that she'll do as she pleases. ]

You see, leaving this man alone with pretty young women is a bad idea.

Heeeh.... I'm used to dealing with types like him back home. He reminds me of a certain student president.

[But with that, she will bluntly pop the question...] But are you two... Boyfriend and girlfriend?

[giver]

No.

[ BACK TO CLENCHING HER ARM DON'T YOU DARE MASAKO ] I only have my eyes for you. Forget about this girl, we don't have anything like that.

[lovehunter]

[ She uses her free hand to pat Kanba's. ]

He's quite the heartbreaker, isn't he? Saying such things in front of the woman who loves him. [ But she does not exactly seem hurt. ]

[Masako isn't hurting from the arm holding, but she is still narrowing her eyes juuuust a bit at Kanba since she didn't get the jist on the first time. But now her princely spirit is shining through!!]

---Let her go, Kanba. She's not doing anything wrong.

[giver]

Sorry. [ but he clearly intends the apology for utena, giving masako a disgusted look as he releases her ]

I'll see that we can make this time as pleasant as... possible.

[lovehunter]

My thanks, Miss Tenjou, though I'm merely used to it. [ She fakes a sad look. ]

This is simply the way he treats people who have given him everything.

Ehhhhhh?! You're used to it? [KANBA YOU JERK. She's not looking pleased at all.]

--I can't let that go! Kanba, you need to clean up your act! Don't go around and hurt people that care about you! That's not cool at all!

[giver]

She doesn't care. [ he makes a soft hissing sound between his teeth, and then messages his forehead for a moment, a headache obviously coming ]

Don't worry about it. It's complicated, but it's fine.

[lovehunter]

That's right. Pain numbs after so long, doesn't it? [ Now that she feels she has effectively set this up: ]

But I would like to hear about you. [ She nods to Utena. ] You seem to have a kind heart.

[ffff she's awkwardly shifting from that compliment...]

... R-really? Um, thanks... [Right, let's change the subject to her!] Anyway, this might sound a bit weird, but... I want to become a prince who can save princesses.

[giver]

Like I said, it's admirable. Saving princesses who need to be saved, and not getting in the way of that. [ eyeing masako, as if challenging her to say differently ]

[lovehunter]

My, that sounds so noble. But who, exactly, are the princesses?

Eh, well... [GOOD QUESTION...]

I guess any girl who was in trouble! If you were ever in a pinch, then I wouldn't hesitate to save you.

[giver]

Masako is more of the type who creates trouble. I've never seen her in a situation she couldn't, and shouldn't, escape.

[ he pats her shoulder ] I'm sure she appreciates the offer, though.

[lovehunter]

I'll be sure to call for you if needed.

However, I feel as though you could teach Kanba a thing or two about treating ladies properly.

Oh? That's something I think I can do. It doesn't look good if you smooth talk on every girl that you see.

[giver]

I don't smooth talk every girl. Like I said, it was your beauty that was truly enrapturing to me. No other girl could compare.

I'm sure Masako agrees, though, she seems to be very taken by your kind heart, as well. [ right masako ]

[lovehunter]

Of course. Should you ever decide that this man isn't worth your time, I'm sure we could have a lovely chat. I'm always available for tea.

--Ehhhh? [WOW SHE IS CONFUSED RIGHT NOW.] Um, thanks... Kanba. If you're really being sincere about it.

And I'd love to have some tea with you, Masako! Maybe all three of us could have a tea party.

If that's what you'd like. But I'd like it if you could just teach me, personally, the right way to approach girls. I'm sure Masako would appreciate your efforts.

Won't you need an example whilst learning? I would be honored to provide my services. Miss Tenjou could perform on me to give you a proper idea.

Heeh.... [She's pondering on her options for a moment, then she says this.] Would it be easier if I just did it with you both?

That isn't really... necessary, I'm sure it's hard to get all three of us together at the same time. Masako is very busy, as well, so she won't be able to make it.

Besides, being alone with you would be even better for learning this sort of material.
