OPEN; THE NEIGHBORS CLUB WELCOMING PARTY

[mishaps]

Who: Anyone interested in attending the party announced a few days ago. Hosts of the party include Kodaka (mishaps), Sena (meatshields), & Yozora (playerkills). This also includes those who signed up for the speed friend making activity and other club members! Anyone who is even slightly interested in the club may post in the log (but please, only those who signed up for speed friending event participate in it!)
What: The Neighbors Club is having a welcoming party/practice party! Hooray for activities and welcoming back Kodaka to the club. Please ignore my fail of typing the event as speed dating as it is speed "friending" my bad!
When: A few days after it the initial party announcement post.
Where: The Neighbors Club Room located in Sigyn.
Rating: PG-13 AFAIK!


[Kodaka had left most of the event planning to Yozora and Sena as it was actually something that kept them busy. Kodaka knows when those two are idle and bored, bad things happen and they just end up fighting. He's actually surprised how much Yozora has taken this party thing seriously... and he's still shocked that it's technically meant for him. He's had birthdays with family members and school members, sure, but nothing like this; he's never had friends throw a party for him. He assumes Yozora throws the party for practice mostly, though.

He places a tray of onigiri (with various stuffings such as salmon, chicken, and picked vegetables.) down on a table next to a bowl of punch. There are cups and plates also on the table. He hasn't made this much food since he was back at home, and he actually doesn't mind. It's something for him to do, and without school and Kobato around, it feels like chunk of his life is missing.

He looks at his bracelet and realizes people should start coming in soon.]

What makes you think I want to go for another round with communicating with them? It was like talking to a brick wall. [ no ririchiyo, all the stubborn vibes were coming from you ]

There was a reason they signed up for the activity, and you must have had a reason, too. [ignoring that front oh you...] And you forgot I talked to the same people you did, and most wanted to talk.

[patronizing]

[ just going to. collapse all glooming here sob. ]

T-That. . . Impossible.

[mishaps]

[not giving in! he is terrible but good in this way.] Maybe you should look at what you did and how you behaved. We're about improving our skills on making friends here, and if we let our bad habits continue we'll remain friendless.

[but he'll say some nice words.] Maybe this activity wasn't for you. The other founding members probably wouldn't be too good at it either.

[patronizing]

[ ever so slowly, her defenses are dropping down rapidly as she stares at the floor, quite clearly in a state of depression. look back on what she’d done? well, she’d been herself which is the most important part. but, still, she had exchanged some cruel words to some, if not all, the people she interacted with.

bad habits . . . of course, that was to blame for all this. everything came down to it, and the outcome was always the same no matter what. how did she improve it, where does she even start? see that dark cloud hovering over this small, tiny body? that would be her feeling more and more worse. ]

[oh no... kodaka notices gloomy she is, but he can't condone her behavior if she wasn't inviting. He places a hand on her shoulder, leaning down so their heights are closer.]

Acknowledging that is important. And hey, you're a member of the club, right? We'll learn how to make friends together.

[patronizing]

[ she is completely clueless on how to react to such a positive type of response and, for once, she’s trying to tone down the bold front even if it was hard. but considering that Kodaka was a friend of hers, it was a little easier to make it more bearable. ]

T-Thank you. . . [ she’s a little hesitant in saying that, the words not coming out easy. ] I just have to try harder from now on.

[mishaps]

[he pulls back and stands up straight again, a little awkward thinking about what he has done in the aftermath.]

A-Anyway, uh, I couldn't help but notice you had a pretty heated conversation with Takakura-kun.

[ okay she can’t help but visibly flinch at the mention of Kanba, her once depressed aura rocketing to god knows what. heated discussion... well, she had made a lot of noise at that round -- probably the most talkative she’d been really. ]

[patronizing]

[ well she’s not going to give out any clues except a face that looks exhausted beyond normal. more drained. ]

That guy. . . he’s always saying questionable things.

‘Bothering’ is an understatement.

Fine, I won't. Just if he's bothering you, you have the right to ask him to stop.

[he raises an eyebrow and gestures with his hand to go on.]

[ sorry bro, all that’s got you is a depressed ririchiyo again ]

[he's confused as to why she would say that.] Is it some secret?

[patronizing]

I can’t say it. [ repeating herself, yes, but this all that she can form into a sentence ]

... I could always ask him, you know.

[patronizing]

[ yeah, no. he gets no response as she justs thwacks her head against the table, completely and utterly exhausted. her body wasn’t built for this sob. ]

But I rather ask you and hear it from you. [he looks at her, but he doesn't stop her. he'll let her do that until she really hurts herself or something.]

[patronizing]

[ okay fine. she shifts her head slightly, although it’s still positioned the same way just only her expression was visible with it. ] You know what people mean when they say they’re an item, don’t you?

[s-so confused....] Yeah, but what does that have to do with anything?
