OPEN; THE NEIGHBORS CLUB WELCOMING PARTY

Who: Anyone interested in attending the party announced a few days ago. Hosts of the party include Kodaka ([personal profile] mishaps), Sena ([personal profile] meatshields), & Yozora ([personal profile] playerkills). This also includes those who signed up for the speed friend making activity and other club members! Anyone who is even slightly interested in the club may post in the log (but please, only those who signed up for speed friending event participate in it!)
What: The Neighbors Club is having a welcoming party/practice party! Hooray for activities and welcoming back Kodaka to the club. Please ignore my fail of typing the event as speed dating as it is speed "friending" my bad!
When: A few days after it the initial party announcement post.
Where: The Neighbors Club Room located in Sigyn.
Rating: PG-13 AFAIK!

[Kodaka had left most of the event planning to Yozora and Sena as it was actually something that kept them busy. Kodaka knows when those two are idle and bored, bad things happen and they just end up fighting. He's actually surprised how much Yozora has taken this party thing seriously... and he's still shocked that it's technically meant for him. He's had birthdays with family members and school members, sure, but nothing like this; he's never had friends throw a party for him. He assumes Yozora throws the party for practice mostly, though.

He places a tray of onigiri (with various stuffings such as salmon, chicken, and picked vegetables.) down on a table next to a bowl of punch. There are cups and plates also on the table. He hasn't made this much food since he was back at home, and he actually doesn't mind. It's something for him to do, and without school and Kobato around, it feels like chunk of his life is missing.

He looks at his bracelet and realizes people should start coming in soon.]

I have enough pride to apologize when I know I've done something wrong.

[ that hit a nerve, making her snap out of her depression. she had a point... it was certainly admirable that she had that amount of pride, so really the question of whether or not she’d had any pride was more fitting of a question for herself really. but it wasn’t that easy -- she couldn’t control her habit habit. she insulted people for no reason, and most the time it came out before she could think twice about it.

even so, she had to apologize herself. she knew that much. she begins to open her mouth, the tip of the word there but it refused to come out. it was embarrassing, and also infuriating. just as she got the “so” out of the way it came out as something else, her lips refusing the word. ]

Sour.

Eh?

[ well, she didn't expect that, and it certainly shows. ]

The riceballs. They’re sour and salty. [ CLOSEST FORM OF AN APOLOGY TSUKIKO IS GOING TO GET HERE... ]

... Did they really taste that strange?

There’s not enough seasoning on them. [ this true true, and she says this as she nibbles into another one. awkward conversation, start-o. ] At most, they’re decent.

I'm not all that good at cooking, so they're at least better than what I could make. [ and she doesn't seem to mind hers. ]

Hmph. What kind of idiot doesn’t know how to cook? Really, you all make it sound so confusing when really it’s only a matter of how many grams or garam masala you put in it. [ well garam masala is a basic blend of spices which is usually something one puts in a curry but w/e knowledge beats everything ]

[personal profile] starryguyed 2012-03-08 05:31 pm (UTC)(link)
You put garam masala in onigiri?

[ ... well, Suzuya might, as part of his Russian Roulette rice balls, but-- ]

Huh. Of course you can add it in if you like those type of onigiri, but even the most brain-dead of a person knows that it’s used for curry.

Suzuya really might... but I'd stick with the normal ones.
