OPEN; THE NEIGHBORS CLUB WELCOMING PARTY

[mishaps]

Who: Anyone interested in attending the party announced a few days ago. Hosts of the party include Kodaka (mishaps), Sena (meatshields), & Yozora (playerkills). This also includes those who signed up for the speed friend making activity and other club members! Anyone who is even slightly interested in the club may post in the log (but please, only those who signed up for speed friending event participate in it!)
What: The Neighbors Club is having a welcoming party/practice party! Hooray for activities and welcoming back Kodaka to the club. Please ignore my fail of typing the event as speed dating as it is speed "friending" my bad!
When: A few days after it the initial party announcement post.
Where: The Neighbors Club Room located in Sigyn.
Rating: PG-13 AFAIK!


[Kodaka had left most of the event planning to Yozora and Sena as it was actually something that kept them busy. Kodaka knows when those two are idle and bored, bad things happen and they just end up fighting. He's actually surprised how much Yozora has taken this party thing seriously... and he's still shocked that it's technically meant for him. He's had birthdays with family members and school members, sure, but nothing like this; he's never had friends throw a party for him. He assumes Yozora throws the party for practice mostly, though.

He places a tray of onigiri (with various stuffings such as salmon, chicken, and picked vegetables.) down on a table next to a bowl of punch. There are cups and plates also on the table. He hasn't made this much food since he was back at home, and he actually doesn't mind. It's something for him to do, and without school and Kobato around, it feels like chunk of his life is missing.

He looks at his bracelet and realizes people should start coming in soon.]

[ Chane looks to the ground, deep in thought, wondering what the right way to address this was without being too invasive of her privacy. She was a very private person, herself, but she didn't want to assume everybody would want to end conversation as quickly as she would in this position.

She types, composing her expression and trying to suppress any somber edge to it. ]

I've been betrayed before, too.

[ She presses the button to display the words on the screen for Yozora, but quickly begins typing again, as a distraction, to move on from that personal bit of information she just revealed, albeit vague and brief. ]

I wish for you to not ever have to experience betrayal again. Do you want other friends?

[ The last part she displays with a bit of anxiety creased at her brow. ]

[ Her eyes widen at Chane's words. Someone wishing good things for her doesn't happen everyday. Come to think of it, it's only ever happened here in Asgard. Do you want other friends? Her gaze softens. She does, but at the same time... ]

I thought about it, and... it's not that I don't want other friends, I'm just so scared. [ Yozora rubs her arm and casts her eyes downwards as she murmurs, ] Scared that they'll leave me again.

[ There's a long pause. ]

So it's fine. I'm not sure if I've already made acquaintances, but in this world, I think I can live with a few friends. I don't need that strong a bond.

[ Then again, there's the club. Can she live without them? They're not exactly friends, so it's hard to say. Shu, Momoka and Tsukiko? It's been such a short time, so is it really okay to consider them her friends, too? ]

[ Her expression becomes darker in response as she contemplates what to say. She felt so out of her element, and yet, also felt compelled to offer some sort of wisdom. She didn't feel much more ahead of this girl, though, in social development, so it was hard.

She casts her gaze away from Yozora and over to the device at her wrist, slowly bringing it up and typing with a slight frown. What could you say to somebody when you didn't have the whole story? She only had her own experience to draw off of. ]

I don't see why anyone would leave you. You should stand by someone you care about no matter what.

[ With slight hesitance, she clicks the button which allows the words to be displayed. She completely means this -- she would stand by the people she cared for even if they did the most awful, unforgivable things imaginable. She never comprehended conditional loyalty. ]

I think so, too. [ Being by someone's side no matter what. Being with someone important to you. That sounded like good wisdom to Yozora. That's what friends are for, right? ]

[ Then--gasp!--it hits her. ]

... That cleared up my thoughts a bit.
