Best or... worst shop advertisement ever
Who: Roland Deschain, Leonardo da Vinci, and OPEN - Come tease Roland!
What: After a failed potion gave him a week of illness Leonardo’s threatened revenge plans finally take shape in the form of a lovely Greek inspired mural on the side of the Ananael potions and herb shop featuring the store’s owner Roland as the unfortunate toga wearing focus of the piece.
When: Morning 534
Where: Right in font of Ananael in the Odin district
Rating: M for Mischief
It had been an epic undertaking to design a painting and see it installed properly on the side of the Ananael potion shop seemingly in one evening. In this task his drawing life abilities had been endlessly helpful in seeing it done not only quickly, but quite up to his standards. The painting could be done in the small scale in his workshop, at his own pace, and then rapidly pulled from the page any size he wished for his hired Asgard citizen workers to paste to the side of the potion shop like one might install a large poster. The work had to be done swiftly to avoid being seen by Roland and in that small period of time just before the sun set to avoid the city patrols arresting him or any of his helpers.
But as the rising sun drifted over to highlight his work the next morning Leonardo felt the month’s worth of planning had been well worth the effort.
Painting Roland stood in all his glory between two elegantly vine draped Corinthian columns, clad in a loose fitting toga, and striking a pose something like Captain Morgan might only with a potion in his hand instead of a sword or a bottle of rum. Upon his head he wore a crown of various herbs and plants of the kind that might be used in the crafting of potions: basil, thyme, along with other more exotic Asgard varieties. Though the scenery in the background of the piece was more Italian looking than Greek, featuring a hill Leonardo remembered from his time growing up in the Tuscan countryside, this was a slight tongue-in-cheek nod to the artist responsible for this. Not that he felt Roland would have any doubt who was to blame once he saw the painting.
Roland had asked for reprisal after all, be careful what you wish for.
