[OPEN] Life can be lived alone
Who: Tsukiko Yahisa (
starryguyed) and YOU
What: Sad girl in partly-cloudy temperatures
When: Day 59, any time of the day you so prefer
Where: Gefion Park
Rating: PG-13
[ so she's been smiling. It's nothing new; Tsukiko tends to keep a smile up, one as strong as possible, because she's had the habit ever since she was little. It wasn't as though she always forced it. Just, lately, she's been catching herself with a quick reminder to keep her lips turned up.
Except when she's alone.
And she is now, isn't she? She stands there, gazing out over the lake without really seeing it, probably close enough to fall in if she leans out any more. And Suzuya isn't there, and Tsubasa isn't there, and Kanata isn't there.
Why? She'd asked and one of the gods - pretty, long hair, Suzuya probably would have known which one - had answered. Those who left had either been lost track of, or hadn't been suited for the salvation of this world.
But Suzuya was incredibly kind and reliable, where you couldn't help but trust in him. Tsubasa, for all of his crazy explosions, had always been something of a genius in her eyes. And Kanata, who always fought and had been stronger than he - or she - might have realized-- why were they gone? Why was she the only one left? She wasn't anything special, and the only thing that had marked her as such back home had been her gender. But that shouldn't matter here.
There's a growing lump in her throat now as she presses her lips together and lowers her head to hide beneath her bangs. No. No, no, no, she isn't going to cry, she doesn't want to feel hopeless about this.
Approach, push into the lake, stare, ignore, your choice. ]

Nighttime?
...Interesting. One hand, he could care less about who she is or why she's out, but on the other hand she looks sad (or at least lost in thought). Who knows what she could be thinking...and that's what makes him curious.
So approach he shall, but each step is silent as ??? closes the distance. Once he's directly behind her, he thrusts out his hands to press over her shoulder-blades, but there's no force behind the sudden contact.
Really, it's her own fault if she takes the fall.]
Nighttime it is!
There's a flash of alarm as she whips around, taking a step back to steady herself-- at which point she comes to the unhappy realization that there's nothing behind her in terms of solid footing, and with a yelp, she topples backward with the most glorious flailing of her arms.
Yes, it really is her own fault. Well, at least bonding with a lake will snap her out of that moodiness. ]
Sorry, no edit button. :(
The moment she reacts, ??? takes a step back to avoid any arm flailing action and simply tracks her movement until she hits the water. If it were any prankster, they may have laughed and taken off by now, but he continues to observe her with a silent indifference.
Well, maybe not completely indifferent because he soon steps to the water's edge and kneels down in order to keep watching her. Don't drown.]
It's okay!
... she can't come out yet, not when this perfect stranger is kneeling so close, so she waits, uneasily. Does he want something? ]

[Aaaaaaaand...he's still not moving. There may be some very uncomfortable silence too as he stares back at her.
He's quick to catch on that the reason she's not trying to get out of the water is because of his presence, but he's not quite ready to leave just yet. Instead, he reaches out his hand as if to offer assistance. It's not like he can text her since he has no clue who she is and there's a long list of contacts to pick from. He's not going to talk anytime soon though; he'll never risk giving up his identity that way.]

Um... thank you.

No problem. [Somehow, he can manage to conjure up some thought of concern to relay back to her.] Why are you out here?
no subject
Haha, now I have an edit button. xD
I can only talk to you like this.
edit buttons are godly
[ so had he tapped her to get her attention? Well, now she just feels silly. ]

It's okay. I'm sorry I scared you. [Not really, but oh well.] Anyways, what are you doing out here?
no subject
There's just something peaceful about being out by a lake. The wind feels nicer out here.
no subject
Oh geez he has enough of that stuff as it--Considering his function is to teach and judge how much a certain person handles pain, he's a little bit baffled by the sudden rush of feelings. He'll have to make a mental note to despise that smile if this is how she always feels.]
You looked sad when I saw you.
no subject
Maybe she didn't notice.....
Yes.
He'll pretend that crash wasn't totally not loud and near her.]

Hasegawa-kun! Are you okay??

Ever since he came to Asgard, Ezio has been exploring, meeting others, getting to know both them and their lives before here. It's much like his time in Venice, Forli, or Rome- he has a mission to follow, but how he gets there is always left up to him. There is no set way or certain restrictions he has in meeting people or helping them, and here, in Asgard, that is no exception.
Here, his mission is to find a way home, for both himself and all his brothers, and all the innocents.
But seeing Tsukiko out by herself is something he stops for, noting that she is always with a smile, and a cheerful disposition. Here, her head is bowed, shoulders hunched, looking like she's going to break down at any given moment.
His footsteps are quiet, softly walking through the grass to approach her, but not scare her at the same time.]
Bella, why the long face? You look so much better when you are smiling.
no subject
I'm sorry, Ezio-san... I think I'm just a little tired.
Midafternoon? =)
So, it was a nice, leisurely stroll. The grey skies and greyed out colors and muted sounds were still not lost on him as they might be on others who had been here longer. Still, he couldn't say he wasn't enjoying it. He'd brought a little lunch from the kitchen with him and once he reached the center of the park, he'd eat it. Kind a reward for getting this far.
He happened to spot a figure on the shore of the lake. Even though she was a little way off, something about her rang a bell. He walked a little closer and realized who it was - Tsukiko. She'd helped him when he'd asked about his healing ability, and he'd since been told by Dr. Watson that she worked as his secretary. Ever eager to see a friendly face, he called out to her.]
Hi!
Works for me!
Hisao-kun! How are you?
Perfect!
[He walked over, smiling and giving a small bow of greeting.]
It's good to meet you in person.

[He turned to look out over the lake.]
Despite the greyness, it's actually really nice here. Do you come to the park often?

[He gave a small chuckle.]
I think I'll do my best to come here more often and see if I can't brighten it up a little. It's a nice walk from Sigyn.

at the end of the day, though, they're all things that she can't have clouding her mind. fretting over what's already happened won't do her any good; getting those things out of her head would be the first step toward moving on and facing the future.
that's why she's chosen to take up running all around the city, like she's done so many times before. of course, if anyone stops her and asks her what she's doing, she'd probably say that she's training... when all she really wants to do was clear her head.
upon seeing Tsukiko as she flies through the park, though, she can't help but slow down, eventually coming to a stop to approach her.]
... Yahisa-san?
no subject
[ she sounds a little tired, quickly rubbing her eyes before she flashes her a quick smile. No use worrying the other girl. ] Were you training?
no subject
[she sounds a little distracted when she says that... it's not entirely convincing. but she shakes it off and just keeps going along with the conversation.]
What about you? What are you doing out here right now?

evening! \o/
she looks deep in thought, the brush of bangs over her eyes. it makes him frown a little.
usually, he'd steer clear of people as a general rule, because he honestly has no interest in their business. but he remembers this girl's earlier strength, and it's why he ends up approaching at a wide-angle, carefully making his presence known by walking with steps that echo, rather than his usual silent prowls.
when he gets within hear range, he raises a hand, and smiles cheerfully. ]
Fishing?
I think you might be missing a few vital pieces of equipment, though.
