485 | Freya | Evening
Well, almost thought, except for the fact that she was made of stronger stuff than that. She was a lady, and a proper one - and as such, she would give in to neither fear nor bewilderment. Still, she could not help but gaze about herself in confusion, wondering what in the name of the Exalt she should even begin to do.

Seeing someone that look kind of confused though, she stopped and walked over to the other girl. Grinning and waving slightly.
"Hello, looking for something?"
no subject
The jumbled mess that was her thought process promptly halted when she saw the younger girl. Good heavens, she looked just like one of the beastfolk that roamed her world - but never before had she seen someone with two sets of rules. "Not in particular," she replied, seeming far more composed than she felt, "but I'm afraid I'm rather lost to begin with. Would you happen to know this area?"
no subject
"I do, I actually stay in the Freya welcome hall and I'm part of the welcome committee. Ah though I don't have any of the baskets or anything on me at the moment."
Yuiko was trying to seem as cheerful and calm as she could, she remembered just how scary it was to come to a strange city and then hear about war and everything. Luckily she had Ritsuka there when she arrived. Ack, now wasn't the time to get distracted though.
"Oh I'm Yuiko by the way, Yuiko Hawatari."
no subject
"Perhaps you would be so kind as to tell me what you know of this place?" She'd already been given the basics, but to be perfectly honest, her head was positively spinning over all of this.
What was that phrase, their tactician and used? Oh, yes. Out of the frying pan, into the fire.
no subject
Well she seemed really polite, and Yuiko could guess that she was probably from somewhere west from the way she was dressed. Really it kind of made her feel underdressed since she just had her skirt and top she had found that she thought was cute.
Nodding her head though Yuiko tried to figure out where to start.
"Umm well, you probably already know that it's called Asgard and that it a place where a bunch of worlds come together according to the gods. There's nine different districts, and each has a welcome hall for a different god. You can stay in the welcome hall of the god that picked you for free, or move into paid housing, but you can't stay in another god's welcome hall. They each have their own color, see like my jewel is pink since it was Freya."
no subject
She meant it, too, as she was genuinely curious about the goddess who had called her. "And what is this goddess like, I wonder? Would you be so kind as to share your knowledge of her?" She knew bits and pieces from her rather unorthodox introduction, but she still wanted to learn as much as she could.

The voice comes from a few feet away, where a young woman in faded jeans is sitting on a building's front stoop. In her lap, she has a notebook opened on one knee, a pen balanced on its edge. She gives Maribelle a warm smile, easily recognizing her as a newcomer by her confused expression.

Of course, she probably hadn't meant this sort of broadening - but there was no sense in worrying over little details like that any time soon.
"I really am quite lost, I'm afraid. Would you happen to know your way around?"
no subject
"Yeah, 'course! Where're you trying to get to?"
no subject
"I'm afraid I'm not quite sure. Would you happen to have any suggestions?"
no subject
"You been to your god house yet? 'S where I'd probably go first. Find what room's yours."

Re: 485 | Freya | Evening
Just staring.
Unsettlingly.

"May I help you?"

no subject
"I very much doubt it," she replied, looking the little girl up and down. "Who are you, dear?"
no subject
After a moment's pause, she answers the question herself. "Lilly."

sorry for the late tag; don't feel obligated to reply if you don't want to!
Re: 485 | Freya | Evening
Odd, yes, but likely harmless.
"Another new arrival, is it?"
no subject
This latest one was no different, and whomever he was, he certainly wasn't human. But Maribelle simply squared her shoulders a bit and nodded, looking both tired and exasperated. "Yes, quite. I take it there are many here?"
no subject
Here and now, however, they're fairly welcome. If only for the fact that it means another person to help them fight in the war that is hanging too close over their heads for his liking. But best not to speak to that. Not when Chessur has never liked the idea of fighting
"Or did you mean many people, I wonder?"
no subject
But she wondered if there were some way to contact her loved ones and let them know she was very much alive and well. That would be something she certainly wouldn't complain about.
"And just who are you, then? Are you another, who's been pulled into this strange place?"
no subject
"And I could be another. Or I could simply be me, and I'd much rather that."
Just a cat who's far more human than normal and has had to make do with having his usual evaporation traded in for something else. But there's a grin to go with his words all the same, and one that still holds something of the grins he'd been able to manage when he really *had* been a cat.

Was nothing going to make sense about this day?
