[Look down. Now back up! Where are you? You're in the Castle Plaza, with the Gods your Gods could God like.

[Lively, pleasant music hangs in the air around you as fireworks explode in the sky above. There is a tempting aroma teasing at your nostrils. Where is it coming from? Those long tables at the center of the plaza, overflowing with food you love. Craving anything from home? You'll be sure to find it there.

[Look around you. What do you see? Carnival games. Hundreds of Carnival games, including a dunk tank, and all for free! Carnival games not your thing? Why not give the dance floor a try? That music is awfully catchy, and just look at all those stunning lights!

[Enjoy yourselves, travelers. A New Year is upon us.]

[Ange definitely isn't the only one who thinks that! Euri happens to be nearby, polishing off some food from the buffet-thing, and she has a look on her face that screams 'this is the dumbest thing ever.']

Maybe someone will trip and fall on their face. Then this would at least be funny.

I don't know, some of their dance moves are so bad they already look like they're falling on their faces all the time.

It's probably some dance in some really exotic faraway place. Moronistan or something like that.

Hahaha! Maybe it's their national dance, too! Everyone in the country has to dance that way.~

I wouldn't be surprised. Why did they get all these people from just that country here either way? It's seriously unbalanced, all these idiots all over the place.

Maybe the gods brought them here to entertain the rest of us? Saving a world can be pretty tough work, so it's good to be able to sit back and relax once in a while. [She guesses. She's never done any world-saving before.]

I don't know about you, but these people don't particularly entertain me.

... Quite the opposite, actually. They're pretty annoying. [ a sigh. ] It's probably why they dragged my bodyguard here too.

[ her voice sounds a little more montonous at that, but still pretty casual how easily she speaks about it. ]

Yeah, hence why I need said bodyguard. You get a lot of money and suddenly everyone is out for your head just to get some of it.

Damn, you're lucky! This place must be pretty boring for you, then, since you can go and do whatever you want!

Actually, I can't. Being rich is just a bother, you know? Especially when you're some rich family's heir, they'll just tell you what to do and where to go, you can hardly make your own choices.

[ she twits the ring on her finger a little as she talks. ]

I was already lucky enough I could make that last journey before I came here.

[Since she's never really gotten the chance to talk to someone rich before (that she knows of, anyway) this is interesting.

... Although, it sounds like being rich wouldn't be as fun as she had hoped. She's got more than a few questions, and she's silent for a moment or two, trying to figure out where to start.]

I was on a journey of sorts back home to find out something. [ ... shrug. ]

I guess the money was useful to get all over the place for said journey, though.

[That's certainly vague. Buuut it would probably be more than tactless to ask, since they just met and all.]

So you still got to do a lot of traveling? That doesn't sound so bad! Did you enjoy that?

It.. wasn't too bad. [ and that's at least honestly admitting something, because she would never ever say that in Amakusa's face.. ]

It was for an important purpose, after all, so I didn't mind travelling around for a bit.

Did you do any sightseeing? Or, you know, explorations, adventuring... that kind of thing! That's the best part of traveling, so if you didn't you really missed out.

Sightseeing..? I didn't have time for something that trivial. And sure, I had adventuring, if you can count running from my crazed aunt and her bodyguards all the time would count as 'adventure'. I'd rather call it a bother.
