[Look down. Now back up! Where are you? You're in the Castle Plaza, with the Gods your Gods could God like.

[Lively, pleasant music hangs in the air around you as fireworks explode in the sky above. There is a tempting aroma teasing at your nostrils. Where is it coming from? Those long tables at the center of the plaza, overflowing with food you love. Craving anything from home? You'll be sure to find it there.

[Look around you. What do you see? Carnival games. Hundreds of Carnival games, including a dunk tank, and all for free! Carnival games not your thing? Why not give the dance floor a try? That music is awfully catchy, and just look at all those stunning lights!

[Enjoy yourselves, travelers. A New Year is upon us.]

Oh - [She tries to hide it, but suddenly she's very solemn indeed. This is the girl with the friends who don't remember her. The one with another self here in the city. And yet she's so cheerful...]

Ah... [She pauses, looking over to Nakama. It doesn't take much to figure out how and why she has that expression. Her own softens, reassuring.] Ryoji-kun's not very good at keeping things that upset him all to himself.

It's okay though, Nakama-chan. [Smiling.] There's no reason to make that face, got it?

Oh, I'm sorry... I didn't mean to. [Returning her smile just slightly.] That's your business, I won't tell anyone else or anything. It's just...

[No, even bringing it up when someone else has told her is inappropriate. That's Minako's to mention or ignore as she chooses.]

Agreed! [She brightens again; partially because she prefers the positive attitude, and partially because she doesn't want Nakama to worry. She doesn't want the focus to be on her, that's just not how she is.] It sounds like a lot of people know Minato-kun already, and I'm sure Ryoji-kun will follow suit in no time.

I'm sure we'll both end up meeting plenty of people that way, too.

They're both really nice. [Softly, with a little smile.] I can see why you're all friends.

[Because you're really nice, too. She's a little too shy to say that, but it comes through clearly.]

[She can get the gist of it, but she doesn't say anything; forward as she can be, she's not going to intentionally make anyone uncomfortable.] I think anyone would be fortunate to know guys like them.

[Talking about this is basically talking about how she knows things she shouldn't, and she's not sure she'll be able to keep quiet forever, so she turns to the food table again instead.]

A little bit, here and there! [She offers a smile and a laugh. The change of topic is a welcome one - not because she's particularly uncomfortable about it, but she doesn't really want to make anyone uncomfortable either.] I guess I was just drawn back to my favorites, though.

I know what you mean. It's just not a festival without certain foods.

[After a moment's thought, she slips around one side of the table, then comes back with a plate of fries drenched in melted cheese and gravy.] My friend from Canada was eating this - he called it poutine. He said it was good and really popular there, but it looks pretty heavy, doesn't it? All that cheese and gravy...

[Her eyes light up a bit at it; It's not something she'd indulge in every day, but it's clear she's interested in the content.]

It looks like it'd make good comfort food though, doesn't it? [She grins.] I think heavy foods are really a lot more common out there, anyway.
