[Look down. Now back up! Where are you? You're in the Castle Plaza, with the Gods your Gods could God like.

[Lively, pleasant music hangs in the air around you as fireworks explode in the sky above. There is a tempting aroma teasing at your nostrils. Where is it coming from? Those long tables at the center of the plaza, overflowing with food you love. Craving anything from home? You'll be sure to find it there.

[Look around you. What do you see? Carnival games. Hundreds of Carnival games, including a dunk tank, and all for free! Carnival games not your thing? Why not give the dance floor a try? That music is awfully catchy, and just look at all those stunning lights!

[She hears the voice and glances up - oh, hey, it's a troll. Not one she's talked to before, she doesn't think, since Aradia and Vriska were both girls. Still, her varying experiences with them lead her to be a bit wary.]

Well, the festival is for New Years, I think. We always had one back home. And this game, it's just a simpler one than the others for kids - you choose a duck and flip it over, and it tells you if you got a small, medium or large prize.

[She feels a bit silly for hanging around it now, though, now that he's pointed out how simple it is. Of course she wasn't going to play or anything.]

I was just curious about it, that's all. I'd never seen this game before.

Alright, then. [She crouches back down and watches the ducks bob around.] You first.

[He's not lucky, like some people are. But he's been watching other people play, tracking the movements of the ducks across the pond. Watching which ones other people picked out, which won and which didn't. It helps that nobody can see exactly what he's looking at. After a moment of just watching, he simply reaches in, and plucks out a duck marked for a large prize.]

Eheheh, damn right I do. [He's looking pretty smirky, but he hands over his prize to her anyway, not really concerned with it.] It wath pretty thimple, actually. You jutht weren't paying attention.

- oh. [She takes hold of the prize just to keep it from falling to the ground, blushing a little.] You don't have to give it to me. You won, fair and square.

Ehhh, what do I want it for? It'th jutht a toy. [Like, maybe if this had been some competition with Karkat, he'd have kept the prize and rubbed it in his face forever.] And it'th not random, either. It'th jutht complicated, like maybe one other perthon I know could thee what I'm talking about.

[It's not the most gracious way she's ever been given a gift, but considering how few she's received in her life, she accepts it with a small smile.]
