[Look down. Now back up! Where are you? You're in the Castle Plaza, with the Gods your Gods could God like.

[Lively, pleasant music hangs in the air around you as fireworks explode in the sky above. There is a tempting aroma teasing at your nostrils. Where is it coming from? Those long tables at the center of the plaza, overflowing with food you love. Craving anything from home? You'll be sure to find it there.

[Look around you. What do you see? Carnival games. Hundreds of Carnival games, including a dunk tank, and all for free! Carnival games not your thing? Why not give the dance floor a try? That music is awfully catchy, and just look at all those stunning lights!

[Enjoy yourselves, travelers. A New Year is upon us.]

[Sometimes she thinks she bitches about Junpei too much. Then... Nah.]

[She laughs a bit at it.] He really does mean well. But with so many different kinds of people here, I bet we'd have to bail him out more than once.

More than once? ...I'd rather just bail him out once an hour so that he doesn't have the opportunity to get in trouble with more than 24 people in a day.

[Yukari can wax on about the topic of Junpei for a long time.]

[She knows this, and it's something of a relief to Minako, really. Just another reminder of the similarities they still managed to have.]

Somehow, I don't think that would really work out as planned.

You think someone'd have sent him to the hospital before the hour's up? Yeah, maybe...

Maybe, depending on who he ends up bothering. [She giggles a little.] We probably shouldn't wish that on him, though.

...Well, probably.

[She smiles a bit.]

Though I'd be surprised if we'd managed not to hear from him after being here for weeks.

It would be a bit uncharacteristic of him. He's not much for standing on the sidelines.

Yeah, he's one for charging into the middle of the game and messing it up for everyone...

[Grousing about Junpei, a time-honored sport.]

But we'll see, I guess.

For all we know, that's why we haven't heard from him...

[...She hadn't considered that. Actually, Junpei doesn't usually get into that much trouble by himself -- hell, Yukari does it more often herself.]

...You think so? Yeah, maybe... Maybe we should look for him sooner rather than later, actually.

[orphean]

[Minako imagines that it may not take much to really piss someone off around here, though. Nice as some people are, the ones who aren't are pretty out of Junpei's league.]

The sooner, the better. Hopefully his silence means he's just not here at all.

...Yeah, that would definitely solve the whole problem.

[Oh, but she does kind of miss having Stupei to rail at. Even if Yosuke-kun is good at serving a pretty similar role.]

[Pause.]

So, anyway, what else have you seen at the festival?

[orphean]

Not very much -- I really only took a good look at all the food. I guess I got a little sidetracked by that!

[takebow]

Haha... Just like Minato-kun.

[Pause. She wonders if that's awkward or not, and decides just to watch the other girl's reaction.]

[orphean]

[She lowers her head, letting out a giggle. She won't even try to deny it. That's one thing that they're very much the same about.]

I guess even different worlds can't change some things!

[takebow]

[Given that admission, Yukari has to laugh, too.]

...At this rate, I guess not even the gods could dissuade you from that, huh?

[And she adds teasingly:]

Well, if it doesn't stop you from getting all the guys you want, who cares?

[That nets a good laugh from her, loosening up a bit more.]

If they're not scared off by it, I guess! [She's definitely troubled Akihiko more than once this way.]

Haha, I guess that's possible... But, you can worry about that when it comes to that, right? If your plans to get that samurai come to fruition or whatever.

[orphean]

I almost forgot about that! [She lets out another laugh. She'd legitimately put it out of her mind.] I wonder if a samurai would appreciate a girl with a healthy appetite...

It would stand to reason, right? Who better?

[She laughs.] Sheesh. How do you stay looking like that if you eat like he does, Minako-chan?

[orphean]

Hm... [She pauses, thoughtful. She's actually really not sure. It just kind of happens! But that's not really a good answer, so instead...] Must be all that hustling through Tartarus. You've gotta admit, it does keep up in pretty good shape.

Haha... Well, I guess it must help, but I still have to suffer with salad a lot more.

[Sigh.]
