[Look down. Now back up! Where are you? You're in the Castle Plaza, with the Gods your Gods could God like.

[Lively, pleasant music hangs in the air around you as fireworks explode in the sky above. There is a tempting aroma teasing at your nostrils. Where is it coming from? Those long tables at the center of the plaza, overflowing with food you love. Craving anything from home? You'll be sure to find it there.

[Look around you. What do you see? Carnival games. Hundreds of Carnival games, including a dunk tank, and all for free! Carnival games not your thing? Why not give the dance floor a try? That music is awfully catchy, and just look at all those stunning lights!

He's actually going to sit and think on that. All his social links never had a problem with him. No reversed or broken links to speak of...

He's gone completely quiet, trying to figure out what about him is so hard to deal with. ]

[Yep, she's going to start laughing now. It's kind of adorable how seriously he's taking this. After a minute or two, though, she'll playfully nudge his arm with her shoulder.]

I bet it's what they like about you, Minato-kun. Don't over think it!

[ He jumps slightly, startled by the sudden contact, and blinks over at her. ]

Maybe... Like how people like your bossiness?

[She's totally making a face at him for that one. It's brief though, morphing into a more sad smile as she remembers a specific instance with Shinjiro.] I guess so, yeah. Some people don't mind that sort of thing.

[moribundity]

[ He notices the slight change in her expression and frowns slightly, looking away for a brief moment or two. ] "Some people"?

[orphean]

[She shakes her head, smile reverting to something brighter, though maybe slightly more forced than usual.] Yeah, of course. I wouldn't say "everyone" to something like that.

[moribundity]

Your face changed... [ He's not an idiot. Not a total idiot, anyway. Minato reaches over to take her hand, drawing his thumb along the back of it gently. ] Were you thinking of someone?

Ah... [Sometimes it's easy for her to forget that Minato's the one person who can catch those subtle changes in her expression. She averts her gaze though, biting down briefly on her lower lip. Drawing in a breath, she finally manages to say the name that's been sitting on the edge of her tongue.] Sh... Shinjiro-senpai.

[moribundity]

[ Oh. That made sense. ]

I'm sorry. [ For bringing it up. But also just... for what happened in general. At least in her universe, he'd survived. The only thing he can think to do is to wrap an arm around Minako's shoulders and be there for her. ] I can see why he liked... uh, likes you.

[orphean]

Don't be. [Sorry, she means. She's a bit surprised by the sudden contact, but all the same, she feels a bit relieved by it. She leans on him a bit, letting out a weak laugh.] He used to say I pushed him around a lot... But he always acted more angry than he was about it.

[She pauses, drawing in a breath.] It's okay though, Minato-kun. I'm alright.

[ He smiles a bit at that description. He hadn't known Shinjiro that well, all things told, but there were some things that you just couldn't miss about him. ] He acted more angry that he was about most things.

[ He rubs her shoulder, saying nothing else. But that's okay. Minako may or may not be really okay, but either way he wants to be there for her. Maybe she was more of a doer, someone who got out there and took care of people. But he was more subtle - just a listener. The one whose shoulder you could cry on and the one who would have your back no matter what.

He's got you, Minako. ]

[She relaxes a bit, taking a bit of solace in Minato's actions. His subtlety doesn't go unnoticed; she can sense his nature easy. He's kind and trustworthy, and clearly cares in a very genuine way for his friends. And for all the times she spent doing the same for others (albeit in a much more forward way), it was a strange and comforting change of pace to have someone do the same for her.]

[Talking about Shinjiro is never easy. It's not, and she knows this is why it rarely comes up at home. With so many things going on, they had other things they needed to focus their attention on, and worrying too much over him would only bring down the morale of the team. So this is definitely new... strange. But still, kind of nice.]

[She can't help it, letting out a small giggle.] I can see why so many girls would fall for you.

[moribundity]

[ He's amused at that, and maybe a little embarrassed too. He hadn't planned on any of that happening. Being there for everyone came easy to him, but predicting where things would end up at the end? That was hard. And saying no was even harder.

Still... maybe he should try that, here and now, even if it's just a joke. ] Should I turn down my charm?

[orphean]

Is that even possible? [If it wasn't obvious to tell that she was teasing before, it definitely shows now, giving him a small nudge with her shoulder.] You're gonna give me a bad reputation if you don't, you know.

[Since she has charm as her skill in Asgard, of course.]

I doubt people see us like that. [ He's... missed the point.

Also looking away. Maybe a little embarrassed. Big maybe. ]

I meant because I'm supposed to have a charm skill, Minato-kun. Get your mind out of the gutter! [But she's laughing.]

[moribundity]

[ ...oh.

That means he can go and be amused too, right?
