What: Asgard Olympics Event Part 3
When: Day 113 during the day only (July 15)

The third day of the festival, characters will wake up to hear the same music again. In the park, the stage and the resource building have returned and the last events are ready to go!

When you make a thread, be sure to fill out your subject line! Make sure people know where you are and what you're doing. For the sake of making the log easier on browsers, we won't be posting category threads for each event, so try putting "talent show / beauty pageant / armwrestling contest" or whatever is relevant in your subject line.

The contests for the day are as follows:

First, the Talent Show. Characters will have the entire resource building to find instruments, costumes, and whatever props they might need for this show. Anything you'd take to a real talent contest can be performed here! NPCs (native shopkeepers from Freyr who've had their colour restored by now) will judge the talents and announce the winner!

The winners of the talent show will be:
First Place: Shiki Tohno and Shirou Emiya (Freya) (they both get individual prizes but share house points)
Second Place: Diva (Freyr)

Second, the Beauty Pageant. The resource building has every bit of clothing, make-up, or anything else you need to look your best! There are even NPC makeup and hair artists if you ask for them. Characters will get one chance to strut their stuff, and then a panel of native shopkeepers from Freya who have their colour back will pick the prettiest Traveller!

The winners of the beauty pageant will be:
First Place: Nezumi (Freyr)
Second Place: Caterina Sforza (Freya)

Third, the Armwrestling Contest. This is a contest of pure strength and stamina! The first two characters to arrive will wrestle, and it will continue with tournament brackets until the last two compete!

The winners of the armwrestling contest will be:
First Place: Kainé (Thor)
Second Place: Vanitas (Hel)

In the evening once it gets dark, the carnival setting will disappear into thin air, leaving only the stage. From this stage, one of your local Gods will announce the House that's won the overall contest and give out the prizes from the whole event (including the individual prizes for winning each contest). The prize info can be found on the event post! After that, they'll leave and take the stage with them.

Have fun, play hard, and good try to everyone who competes! Remember, your characters had to sign in for events ICly, but they're welcome to be thrown in even if you didn't sign them up already OOCly. Just jump into whatever you'd like!

Nezumi | Beauty Pageant.

[After seeing some of the prizes gained from other contests such as these, Nezumi decided that entering these kinds of things might not be such a bad idea, and certainly a way to pass time. So he decides to dress the way he's always known, with his hair done up pretty and a beautiful gown, and gives a show that will not soon be forgotten. He even smiles and waves.

After the show, Nezumi will be meandering around in the same clothes he wore for the show, feeling exceptionally smug that he won the contest. (It was only to be expected, he thinks.) He'll be around until the house-announcements, and will still be feeling exceptionally smug when he finds out that it's his house that wins. (It's to be expected!) Following that, he'll be heading back home to admire his food and get some well-deserved rest.]

[After the show one of the other contestants will run over upon spotting him, still dressed in her own contest clothes. She's pretty cheerful despite losing!]

Congratulations on getting first place!

[He blinks, and then he smiles graciously, still in character despite being off-stage. His voice is a low, gentle purr, like a woman's.]

Thank you.

[Tilts his head.]

You were quite lovely as well, miss.

[Yeah there's basically no way she'd pick up on his real gender. The compliment gets her flustered to boot.]

Th-thank you, miss... But I'm nothing compared to someone like you.

[Even she knows there was no contest between the two of them.]

I thought you were very cute.

[He's definitely not correcting her, here...]

Your name is... Hibiki, right?

[She might have just turned a little bit redder at that.]

Y-yes! And you're Nezumi-san, right?

[superfiber]

That's right. It is very nice to meet you, Hibiki.

[Nezumi is allll smiles. He's definitely in enough of a mood to be friendly like this, especially under a guise. It's been a while since he could do something like this.]

It's very nice to meet you too!

You're so pretty... It's no surprise at all you won!

[snugglesjugs]

[Aladdin actually been following Nezumi before going up to him. Something wasn't right... He's not being desecrate so he'll be easy to spot.]

[Nezumi turns, skirt and hair flowing as he moves.]

Do you need something, sir?

[He walks over to the person and give them another look. Something really wasn't right here. The little boy was really confused as to why. This person is pretty...]

[He settles in front of the boy and leans down a little bit, blinking.]

What is it?

[circuses]

[ Another contestant comes over to congratulate the winner! Regina, still dressed head to toe in sequins, holds out a bouquet of hastily picked flowers from around the streets as a makeshift prize. ]

You totally deserved to win, miss! I only wish I could grow up to be like you!

[superfiber]

[He only smiles and summons the lightest of flushes to his cheeks. Even an amateur could do such a thing. He ducks his head a little bit and narrows his shoulders, laughing lightly.]

You were rather stunning yourself, miss.

[His voice is low and engaging, the tone of a woman. Even his laughter is unmistakably female. Ever the actor he is. After his big win on the stage, Nezumi is definitely giddy enough to play like this. Having a little fun with his appearance and sex-appeal has never failed to amuse him before, and this place certainly doesn't change that.]

[circuses]

I tried my best, but in the end you won. I don't mind! I just need more sparkles next time. [ Despite the fact that she's practically a giant glitter ball. ]

But you were really inspirational, y'know! [ Regina gawps in wonder - this mature, elegant lady was the person she should strive to be like from now on. ]

[superfiber]

Ah...

[He tilts his head, and he smiles.]

More sparkles might take the attention off of your face, miss...

[He briefly, elegantly, gestures to her face.]

You have a beautiful smile. You should show it off more.

[circuses]

I do? Aww, thanks! But maybe I could decorate my face with sparkles. Like glue-on glitter! Then everyone would have to stare at it.

But you're the real deal, for sure!

[superfiber]

That's true...

[He's never even thought of the use of glitter before.]

[So here's the loser that stood up in his chair for a few seconds upon seeing Nezumi take the stage and only sat after realizing that that he did so. Typical Shion behaviour, but considering that he hadn't seen Nezumi dressed as a woman until that point, could it really be helped? He'd expected Nezumi to dress in fancy male attire, after all. Perhaps something similar to one of his costumes, but a dress was just about the last thing he was expecting in spite of being well aware of Nezumi's mastery of the female voice and demeanor and expression and-- why didn't he see this coming?

He's one of the first to leave after the awards are distributed, all but running to meet Nezumi as he exits the stage. Shion had been to enough fancy award ceremonies to know that flowers were an appropriate gift for all, men included - he'd received flowers himself, after all - and seeing as that most wildflowers died in the flood, he decided to get six white daisies from the flower shop. Simplicity would be best, and half a dozen should be alright!

Shion extends the flowers with both hands as he approaches Nezumi, grinning and slightly out of breath.]

Congratulations, Nezumi.

[As Shion approaches, Nezumi is still speaking to a stranger. A brilliant smile adorns his face and his voice and demeanor are feminine. He's even summoned the lightest of blushes to his cheeks. However, when he sees Shion, he gracefully excuses himself and steps towards him. He waves softly, before taking his attention off the said person completely.

As he steps closer, he notices Shion's flowers, and his already dimming expression drops to his far more natural smirk.]

[He flourishes his skirt mockingly as he speaks, then tilts his head, grinning. This rat is definitely in a better mood than normal.]

And have you criticize my acting?

[He most certainly isn't writing mental poetry about Nezumi's vibrantly shining with a quiet tranquility like the dawn as it breaks eyes. They stand out more than normal, okay? Nevertheless, he's still smiling.]

Flowers are a common congratulatory gift, aren't they? Other people received them after the earlier contests, so I thought it was fitting.

I half expected roses.

[He only used a little bit of makeup around his eyes and lips, because he learned early on that he really, really didn't need it. However, it never hurt to spice himself up a bit, especially for a crowd (and a prize) like this. He knows exactly how to dazzle someone. ♥]

Thank you, your majesty.

[Suddenly, his voice changes to that of an innocent maiden, and he takes the flowers from Shion softly. He brushes the hair from his face, and then he smiles his best smile. He simply wants to observe Shion's reaction to such a display, since Shion's never seen it. (For good reason, but... If he was seeing it now, then oh well.)]

I noticed that most of the flowers yesterday were more ordinary, and white is a standard colour. I think they look nice. [read: "I didn't want you to get upset if I got something you didn't like"]

I didn't think that you would make such a beautiful woman, Nezumi. [His tone makes it clear that it's meant sincerely, not that Shion is ever truly insincere. Nezumi may note that his cheeks have flushed just a touch pinker, but his smile remains bright.]

[He tilts his head.]

With the right amount of talent, anyone can look like a woman. [He smiles and flourishes his hair a little bit.] After that, it all comes down to genetics.

[He lifts the flowers to his face and inhales through his nose.]
