What: Asgard Olympics Event Part 3
When: Day 113 during the day only (July 15)

The third day of the festival, characters will wake up to hear the same music again. In the park, the stage and the resource building have returned and the last events are ready to go!

When you make a thread, be sure to fill out your subject line! Make sure people know where you are and what you're doing. For the sake of making the log easier on browsers, we won't be posting category threads for each event, so try putting "talent show / beauty pageant / armwrestling contest" or whatever is relevant in your subject line.

The contests for the day are as follows:

First, the Talent Show. Characters will have the entire resource building to find instruments, costumes, and whatever props they might need for this show. Anything you'd take to a real talent contest can be performed here! NPCs (native shopkeepers from Freyr who've had their colour restored by now) will judge the talents and announce the winner!

The winners of the talent show will be:
First Place: Shiki Tohno and Shirou Emiya (Freya) (they both get individual prizes but share house points)
Second Place: Diva (Freyr)

Second, the Beauty Pageant. The resource building has every bit of clothing, make-up, or anything else you need to look your best! There are even NPC makeup and hair artists if you ask for them. Characters will get one chance to strut their stuff, and then a panel of native shopkeepers from Freya who have their colour back will pick the prettiest Traveller!

The winners of the beauty pageant will be:
First Place: Nezumi (Freyr)
Second Place: Caterina Sforza (Freya)

Third, the Armwrestling Contest. This is a contest of pure strength and stamina! The first two characters to arrive will wrestle, and it will continue with tournament brackets until the last two compete!

The winners of the armwrestling contest will be:
First Place: Kainé (Thor)
Second Place: Vanitas (Hel)

In the evening once it gets dark, the carnival setting will disappear into thin air, leaving only the stage. From this stage, one of your local Gods will announce the House that's won the overall contest and give out the prizes from the whole event (including the individual prizes for winning each contest). The prize info can be found on the event post! After that, they'll leave and take the stage with them.

[equivoco]

[ oh, chuckles. 'auntie claudia,' she might as well be considering everything with the order. ]

He would drive you mad in the first week. Not long enough to learn a language.

[auditor]

[ stretches. ]

I've got more patience than you'll ever know.

It is difficult to see it, sometimes, but you underestimate me if you think I do not know it at all.

[ like when she's disowning her brother, for instance. but he is careful to keep his tone light enough. ]

[auditor]

[ thanks for making her wait six years for a kiss that, still, isn't coming. ]

[equivoco]

[ ahahaha OOPS. he's still sitting in denial about that, sorry claudia. well, denial and fear of ezio.

but for now, he sits back on his elbows next to her and continues the conversation after a relatively long pause. ]

Did you find anything of interest during these festivities?

[auditor]

[ most travellers are dumb as fuq to fall for this? wait, no, he would know that one. claudia sighs through her nose. ]

How skilled the fighters are. [ beat. ] Say it already.

[ you can beat around the bush for only so long with her. ]

[equivoco]

[ a beat.

two beats.

oh god he can't avoid it forever. ]

How do things go with Ezio?

[ he is careful, now, to use his name despite the usual ease of referring to him as her brother instead. ]

[auditor]

[ her inhale is almost sharp, but she doesn't delay in answering. just stares at the sky, her fingers curling into her hair. ]

I told him.

[equivoco]

[ niccolò, in turn, keeps his eyes on her. ]

And his reaction?

[auditor]

He didn't say anything. So I left.

[equivoco]

[ a sigh, but nothing else for a few moments. there's a lot he could say about the situation, that she isn't considering all of the information about what happened and is being too rash, that ezio was a fool to not listen the first time it was brought to his attention that he could... but none of that will help. ]

He will react with greater feeling eventually. Are you prepared for it?

[ meaning, of course, the reaction to be expected when he learns of rose blush. ]

[auditor]

[ sharp: ]

I was there for the three years, you know.

[ THANKS, SHE KNOWS EZIO WILL. ]

[equivoco]

[ frowns! OF COURSE HE KNOWS, GOSH. ]

I only ask if you are prepared for it.

[auditor]

[ huff! ]

Of course, I am.

[equivoco]

Good. [ he isn't really convinced. anyway, time to redirect the conversation once again. ]

When will it open?

[auditor]

Two days.

[equivoco]

[ a nod. ]

And will you need help?

[ he'd offer to keep ezio away but that would probably just make everything worse. ]

[auditor]

[ a brief, hesitant smile. ]

It would be nice. [ beat. ] But I know something you can help with.

[equivoco]

What?

[ he does not sound enthused. ]

[auditor]

[ don't leap for joy so much. ]

Some of my spies, they are young. Or they have nothing to prove themself by. I want to see what they can do.

[equivoco]

[ a nod. at least this is something he knows well. not that he would object to helping 'prepare' some of claudia's girls oh ho ho~. ]

So we will give these little birds the opportunity to give us proof, yes?

[auditor]
