[Day: You survived. That was... horrifying. And you don't think you've ever been so happy to see the sun rise the next morning. Things are worse for wear, and you need to get more supplies just in case something else comes.

But wait- halfway through the day, and suddenly the sun is gone? Where did it go, and how is it night so early?

Night: Careful. The terrors of last night are back, and now are even in more of a frenzy than before. More crazed, more dangerous, and wanting to destroy everything they come across. Hope you can keep your eyes open.]

If you want to. [Her sidelong look is grateful, though.] I - I think I'm going to have to find a healer if I'm going to be able to keep fighting.

[To her request, Nakama just nods. She'd promised to stick with Arthur's team, and she's already broken that promise.]

[Well, he'll do what he said he would, at least. The people will be ushered off to be taken care of, and he even goes to the trouble of drawing up a curtain in front of her futon before going off to examine other things.]

Oh. That's... good of you. [And dangerous, but she can't fault him for doing it, especially not when that's why she's out here, herself.] Very brave. [Try calling her that, though, and she'd probably hesitate to accept such a thing.]

Well. Anything can be useful if you know how to make it so! How... have you been using your, um, staff so far? [ Perhaps "staff" is being a bit lenient. ] Like a sword maybe? To impale things?

I'll heal you the best I can... [ Her hands begin to glow faintly, although a lot of her energy has been used up. She sighs. ] Sorry. I know it's not much.

[She looks down at her hands.] They're not as raw anymore, anyway. The knife shouldn't be a problem.

[She's just continuing on with her plan not to talk about why she washed them raw in the first place. It's probably (not, Nakama, not) for the best.]

Whoa, I didn't know it could do that. So Reshiram is fire and Zekrom's... electricity?

As a sword, mostly. I've never really used one before, but... I have a lot of friends who do. [a beat.] They make it look a lot easier than it is, though.

[he laughs without much humor at her assessment; it flatters him, yes, but... he can't really think of himself as being particularly "brave." not just yet.]

If you asked my friends, they'd wouldn't say that. They'd probably say "dumb."

[It's hard to tell whether or not that was a joke, but judging by her expression? If it was, it wasn't much of one. (Her 'heart' definitely wasn't in it.)]

Wouldn't... a sword be sort of... impractical? You have to get up really close to use it. [ The sickening thought occurs to her that maybe this is why so many of the city's best, most experienced fighters and soldiers and intergalactic pretty boys are dying. ]

[zekrom bites gingerly at the back of the trainer's head, tugging a little at his hair.] Zekrom-- yeah, it's been a bit hard for them, but I think they're adjusting. ..Sorta.

If you need any more healing, I'd be happy to assist. But hopefully it won't come to that...I'd like to go about with as little disturbance as possible, but...

Hmm. [ Jasmine thinks to herself. ] We can't do anything about the tornadoes but avoid them. When I'm on Rusty, the ravens are the biggest threat since I have a height advantage over regular Taken. [ She looks a little pale, but shakes it off. ] I-if there were any more projectile or long-range weapons around here, no-one would need to get up close... [ What she's implying is that Nakama wouldn't need to get her hands dirty. Even though she's been shooting arrows, it would be best if she didn't have to use the knife. It's slightly shameful to admit. ]

Yeah, it is. [an uncomfortable shift. ha... that's a big reason he was the mage in his party.] I'm... more used to using magic, but I don't have that anymore.

[he takes another look at her. the way she says that... they might be on the run, but... eh. he stops for a bit when he's sure that they're not getting tailed by anything.]
