[ Scenario A, day 155 ]

[ Well! Out of all the weirdities that usually happen in Asgard, this one is pretty tame. Hanako could only watch in mild bemusement as her entire garden had been piled by tons and tons of plants that grew out of nowhere. No matter how much she tried to cut some of them, they re-grew soon afterwards. Is this yet another trick from the gods?

The bright side is that she can control these things, at least. Because the Doctor's words were still lingering in her mind ever since they started training together, she decided to do more with her powers, and suddenly this whole situation comes in handy big time.

Whoever happens to pass by the zone around Sigyn's welcome hall will see her and a line of neatly modeled plants shaped like various... things, with a very overzealous corgi dog barking petulantly at them like they're monsters trying to attack her owner. ]


[ Scenario B, day 156-157 ]

[ At first intimidated by the rush of animals invading Asgard, Hanako will then wander around the public area with Nashi at the leash once she's sure everything is safe. Though sometimes she has to stop her dog from barking at some sheeps, she's mostly there to check the animals out and give them a pet or two. They're (not surprisingly) more easy to interact than fellow humans, on some level. It's like the whole city became a large petting zoo, it almost amuses her. Definitely a breather after all the crap that's been going on. Feel free to bump into her and Nashi~ ]

I don't know why she acts like this only to those animals, but at least she's not attacking them.

That's true. Who knows what could happen if we hurt these creatures...

... I'm not sure. Everything is unpredictable here, and I would rather keep a good behavior nonetheless. [ Not that she needs to strain herself at all, since it's in her nature to be nice- and she does like animals, perhaps better than other humans. ]

[ironclad]

Well, that shouldn't be too hard. They're docile enough, and I'm sure quite a few of us may make friends with them. [ She gives a cow a quick pet. It moos in response. ]

[burntviolet]

I would hope nobody's going to do any harm to them. [ That would honestly make her sad. ]

[ironclad]

That...would be horrible... [ If Jasmine catches anyone behaving badly to these animals, why she'll - well, she's not sure what she'll do, but she'd definitely make sure that they don't get off lightly. ] But since they might be magical creatures who came from the gods, they may have some protection already.

[burntviolet]

I would think so, Jasmine-san. I would expect a curse to fall upon them. [ For once, she'd say that would be more than deserved. ]

[ironclad]

Maybe they'd turn into an animal themselves. ...It ought to give them cause to think about their actions. I hope I'm not being too harsh in saying so...

[burntviolet]

I'm not sure what the gods would do- but I hope it's nothing dangerous. I wouldn't approve of it.

[ironclad]

I'm always against violent reactions, even as punishment for something severe. It only makes things worse.

[burntviolet]

[ A sad nod. ] It got proved time and time again, here...

[ironclad]

I don't see why the gods didn't change their tactics seeing as it was causing people to turn against them. Even now, I believe there are people who are trying to avoid fighting in the war. ...I can't say I blame them... [ Even if she, personally, can't abandon everyone - she has to keep healing. ]

I wonder if these animals will be gone by then... [ She wouldn't want them to get hurt. Surely Hanako agrees. ]

I would lie if I said I want to help them at all, but there are people here who deserve being helped... and the natives deserve being saved. [ It still makes her uncomfortable, but she made it her own duty to at least help the people who need it here. ]

I'm sure they will be gone. I don't think they'll be staying that long, not to cause damage to the city eventually...

Yes, we must protect the natives. It's not as simple when the threat to them is so obvious. They'll be clear targets and I'm sure that some of the fighters in the city will have come to that conclusion already...but I'm not one to ask about brute force. [ She was more about defence. ]

Their job should be complete soon. I must say...at least this plant problem hasn't been that much of an issue.

I'm not one to accept that, either. We of Sigyn can at least try to save as many as we can...

Yes... though I still wonder why the gods went out of their way to do something like this. I wouldn't think of this as just another natural phenomenon...

I suppose Growth will be a useful power. Vines could be used as barriers...or makeshift bandages...I'm not sure about the intricacies of that power. ...And they must have some aggressive use. But I wouldn't recommend someone fighting unless they'd trained beforehand, oh no! It's the same principle for Pokémon battles.

The plants may have medical properties. They're being examined for use in various herbal remedies.

That's what I thought. [ She hums a little. ] Speaking of which, those plants that appeared the other day helped me control my powers some more. I had some difficulty shaping my barriers in a way that pleased me, but it got better with time.

Really? I wish I could help with that, but my knowledge of plants stops only to growing them...

So you could use them for practice? Maybe that was partly why they showed up...

I don't know much about them either. If Erika were here - ah, she's a Grass-type Gym Leader - she'd know. I just heard about it from somebody else.

I'm not sure. They could have talked to us about it, instead of subtly invading the city with plants...

That's alright, I'm just going to study more books in the library. Thank you, Jasmine-san.

But then, that's always the way with the god. Always a surprise...

Ah-heh, it's no problem. I hope Nashi stays out of trouble.

They should quit doing that sort of thing... what would they gain from feeding on our distrust for them?

[ A sigh... but then she nods. Nashi nuzzles into Jasmine's foot. ] I'll make sure she won't get in trouble.

[ironclad]

As long as she doesn't annoy an animal too much. Or try and eat the plants. ...She won't, will she? [ Though she trusts Hanako to take care of her dog, obviously. But there might be hidden dangers lurking around out there. ]

[burntviolet]

I'll just have to keep her away from the sheep... she didn't give me any annoyances otherwise. [ Hopefully it stays that way. Who knows what would happen if she ended up hurting one of them. ]
