[OPEN] O Christmas Tree! O Christmas tree!
Who: The Doctor and all of Asgard
What: Christmas party!
When: Day 200
Where: Draupnir theatre in Freyr district
Rating: Should be PG?
One of the halls in the theatre have been decorated, and quite extensively. There are three Christmas trees, just big enough to manage to get through the doors, decorated with lights and glitter, big stars on the tops and gold, red and silver balls. They're placed in three corners, and the only reason the fourth doesn't have one is because there's a table with various games and such to amuse yourself with. To which mundane says you're free to go with whatever strikes your fancy because her mind is blanking on it.
Along the opposite wall of that corner there's a long table with various Christmas food and drinks, as well as small tables nearby where you can sit and eat if you'd like. At the wall opposite the entrance there's a stereo playing Christmas music (although, if you get sick of it, feel free to find other music and change it, or smash the damn thing or something). You can always dance too, there's plenty of floor left.
You could also just look up at the ceiling and admire the reds and greens it's decorated in, because with the lights it's pretty sparkly, if that's to your fancy. And let's not forget the live candles scattered across the tables.
And the mistletoe. But, don't worry, they won't capture you or anything.
Also, if you stick around until 9 PM, there will be alcoholic beverages. But the Doctor's keeping an eye on the results of that.

She shifts against him, turning to wrap her arms around his middle and hug him tightly. She might be a little reserved but she definitely likes showing affection.
no subject
And he definitely doesn't protest the affection. The firm grip makes it difficult to turn in it, but he moves his hand to rub it over her back instead. It'll do.
no subject
"For you." It is forced into his hands.
no subject
She didn't have to force it?? He would have gladly taken it, and he has the greatest grin on his face as he tears at the paper. He opens gift like a child, okay.
no subject
It's a watch. The face was clearly handmade by her, gears and metals carefully assembled, then polished and attached to a clean leather band.
"I know you already have a watch, but... figured Time Lord could always use more... time."
no subject
The Doctor squints a bit, and then looks at her. "Are you implying I can't keep track of time?"
He's trying to keep the expression, but his lips are definitely twitching. He's fighting not to smile. Honestly, Oswin. (He can't really keep track of time.)
no subject
But she's grinning at him.
no subject
But he puts the watch onto his wrist and then slips over to one of the trees to pick up a present - a decently big box, this one. And then he forces it into her hands too just to copy her.
"And for you."
no subject
But then stops herself because of course he would do it anyway. He probably got a lot of pleasure out of gift giving.
"Thanks."
She sets the box down on the table and begins taking off the paper, really quite curious as to what he got her.
no subject
Inside the box she'll find a device that will measure just the right amount of ingredients, for her baking. And it flies because... he just couldn't resist. She can make it get the ingredients too, that way.
It might have small feet too. Shhh.
"I was trying to decide between practical and fun. So I just combined them."
no subject
A hand runs across her eyes.
"It's... amazing. Brilliant. Thank you." Her voice is quiet and slightly shaky when she speaks again, trying to act like she's definitely not choking up.
no subject
"You enter the measurements here."

Not that he's going to complain, not at all. He's glad that it made her this happy, that more and more she's beginning to realise how much she does matter to him.
no subject
She rests her head against his shoulder for a brief moment, just taking it at all in.
no subject
It's possible he holds her just a little tighter, thinking that, and presses his cheek to the top of her head.
"You're very welcome."
And he's sorry. So very, very sorry.
no subject
But right now, all she could think about was how happy she was to be in his arms right now. She ignores the funny look he's giving her to stand on her tiptoes and kiss him.
no subject
"Is this going to become a thing?" he manages to get out against her lips.
no subject
A smirk plays at her lips before she brushes her fingers down his cheek.
no subject
He supposes that's fine. It's distracting, if anything, which is a good thing. He likes distracting.
no subject
So Oswin pulls away from him first to cough into her fist and then she moves towards a plate of cookies that have been thoroughly demolished.
"Ought to stop back to refill these."
no subject
"Do that."
And he'll do... Hm. Whatever needs doing.
no subject
"Or we could dance to this song that I like."
no subject
"Oh?" Dancing sounds good. Fun. Much better. "What song is that?"

I'm getting a lot of second-hand embarrassment from this lmfao
