Where: Pokétopia cafe in Sigyn district.
Rating: PG or PG-13, depending on what happens.

 

"Welcome to Pokétopia!"

[ those are the first words that your character will hear upon entering the red and white-decked cafe interior. the smell of baked goods has filled the air, and bustling male and female workers are busy waiting on tables and rushing back to the kitchen for new orders.

on the windowstills, flower pots have berry plants growing in them. cards are next to the plots, giving the names of the berries and their flavours. feel free to try one -- just stay away from the spicy berries, unless you're ready to practically breathe fire.

don't feel as hungry as you thought? relax and kick back in the lounge portion of the cafe. you won't be able to order food, but our waiters and waitress will happily get you something to drink. but if you do feel like eating something, take a seat! your server will be with you momentarily with our full menu. some of them might have a Pokémon by their side!

if you talked to Hilda about a working position, consider this your orientation day! you'll be getting the full tour, so listen carefully and be sure to ask questions if you have them. ]

Oh, now he's asked for it. Blue will be the bigger man -- for now. As soon as Red drops his order off, he glances over to him before beginning his meal. ]

You wouldn't have to have any repel themed items, would you? [ Off menu, like a special order. He was thinking -- there definitely would be a good use for something like that, at the moment. And soon after that, he flicks Pikachu's forehead. Of course, he hadn't used all his strength, but it was still akin to a pinch nonetheless. ]

I don't think so, why? [ This is a cafe with Pokemon in it, Blue... Pikachu makes a little squeak when flicked before hopping off the table and running off. B-BAKA!!!

Red will only watch him scuttle off. Sometimes, he really doesn't get Pikachu--actually, he doesn't get a lot of things. ]

Will that be it? [ Please don't think this is some butler/maid cafe where you can challenge the employees to games. ]

Huh. [ There's a bit of an incredulous look directed at him -- and then, right. He'd have to spell it out, wouldn't he?

Except that'd be effort. . . ]

A plate of poffins?

[ He adds this nonchalantly, while keeping a mental count in his head. Four orders were still a normal amount, weren't they? Pursing his lips, he idly wonders if it really was a good idea to go through. . .

But what is thinking things through when he's around Red, anyway. ]

Various flavors? [ Blue, you have not reached to the point where Red will point out they will go to your sassy thighs. For now, he'll continue to listen diligently and do everything is customer says.

He is like your Black Butler or some shit. That probably isn't a good thing at all, to be honest. Good luck with food poisoning. ]

High in sugar? [ Because someone's hyperactive. ]

[ Before he misunderstands, he pulls out a Pokéball. And he can eat ice cream and cry in front of a TV all he wants and he won't gain weight?! (Not that he's done this at any time? It's just an example?!) There is something called exercising!! ]

They're for Arcanine. [ He talks between bites of his bento, and it surprises him that the food was actually half decent. ] I dunno how you always make it, but if she starts acting up then I'm sicing her on you.

[ It's no big! She'll just be permanently attached to you for a good hour or two. ]

I don't mind that, actually. [ If she wants attention, Red is more than willing to give it to her! She's such a sweetie, too, and that also means that Red doesn't need to face hypothermia at night or something. Either way, he'll bow out before quickly returning to Blue's platter of delicious looking fresh poffins.

Are you sure you don't want to eat one? They are insanely cute and colorful in different Pokemon shapes and stuff. This is totally manly. ] I like playing with her.

[ SHE MIGHT AS WELL BE HIS POKEMON. ]

Tch. [ Red, no!! You're supposed to be scared. . .

and Arcanine is his comforter, get out. It's not that he minds the designs either, but he does place the plate down next to him when he gets it — making a reach to open his Pokéball. ] You know that's not what I meant!

[ Before making her way over to her poffins, she does make sure to give Pikachu and Red a good greeting before she gets to her priorities. ]

Then what did you mean? [ Blue, you should always clarify. You never want him to speculate on anything--oh, hey, Arcanine. He gives her a nice fluffing and that is when some kind of familiar tune resonates throughout the cafe.

Means break time. He'll just take a seat across from Blue before taking some of his food.

He is considerate, you see?? Pikachu will also jump back to find place on Arcanine's head. This is a very okay throne. ]

[ambitions]

You're supposed to be saying the opposite! Saying that you're intimidated! [ . . . Uh huh. In any case, he scowls at him if not before pushing the plate of Pikachu cookies in front of him. It's not that this has an underlying meaning or anything — he'd just gotten carried away. ]

Mm, you have things pretty easy here, don't you?

[ x99 things would have to happen another day, when bento boxes didn't fill him up so quickly!! That being said, Blue being him, he talks in between bites so don't mind him.

The sudden and additional weight is totally okay for Arcanine, but it was kind of sad that she couldn't see him or anything down where she was from! Nevertheless, if he's interested in a poffin or two or three — she totally lets him know that as well. ]

[ He wants to say that he isn't intimidated at all since Arcanine is a super cutie... But he thinks this over. Does he really want to rile his rival up some more and be the victim of watching him eat his food with his mouth full. ]

I'm intimidated. [ Please let this work. Pikachu will tell her to eat up though since he already sneaked a poffin when Lucas wasn't looking. Don't tell, okay? Shhhh. ]

. . . It's too late for that, you doof.

[ Muttering, he plays around with the food in his bento a bit before resuming — similar to how a kid would trace patterns with his feet on the ground, except with well, rice and chopsticks. Nevertheless, he doesn't look too bothered by it, and one of the corners of his mouth are actually twitching — up, that is.

Well, then, that works perfectly fine for her as well. Digging out, pigging out, no regrets!! ]

[ WOW... Shrugging that off, he'll just finish Blue's extra bento before noticing how his rival is playing with his food... Looking awkward and a little--upset? annoyed? disoriented? disappointed?? Nothing seems to make him happy.

Also Pikachu is very close to just throwing a fat poffin at his face, but refrains. ]

I haven't seen you like this since the last time we played videogames. [ Aka when you lost in one match.

Then again, he barely saw him sometimes... ]

[ Hey, hey, hey. She offered you those to eat, not play with...! She's so engrossed in what she's doing it's likely that she wouldn't notice, though. ]

Eh? [ He pauses, mid-trace to stare at him. ] I've always been like this.

[ Indignantly.

. . . Leave him be with his food!! Except, he's not really noticing Red sneaking that extra bento, since he doesn't really feel like he has much of an appetite. It's because of the nostalgia, no doubt. ]

[ They would be put to good use...!! ]

I guess it's just I haven't seen you eat in years. [ It's true. And he's kind of glad Blue doesn't mind that he takes it since he's pretty sure this douchebag doesn't have the money to pay for it anyway. ]

Blue Oak, grandson of the famous professor and Viridian's gym leader, still plays with his food. [ He's only saying this to himself, really. ]

[ Dropping his chopsticks, and just. . . Glaring.

He has to think to himself, if those title drops were entirely necessary. . . ]

Is there a problem with that? Also, stop staring and get back to your own food! You're being -- creepy!

[ Making a swipe for his lunch box, he turns his body to the side to resume his eating -- there are tables for a reason. He just didn't want to make eye contact right now?!

--In other news, Arcanine actually looks up at the commotion -- shaking her head at the sight before resuming to her food. Geez. . . ]

[ Wow. He wasn't talking to you, Blue. Even if they were sitting at the same table. Red does squint a bit as his rival calls him creepy--he even stops in mid bite into his food. ]

You're going to make a mess. [ USE THE FUCKING TABLE?! Pikachu is just laughing now. This is too funny to the yellow mouse. ]

I can eat like this just fine.

[ And to prove his point, he does just so -- though, his attempts aren't without a few errors as he chokes on a bite of rice. Having to set down his lunch and make a quick grab for his apple juice, he tries to play it off casually despite displaying a good handful of undesirable expressions just a moment ago. ]

. . . See? That was. Just fine.

[ If you turn to him he's showing him a picture on the bracelet that shows Blue's choking in slow motion.
