Who: Leah of Hel (
scarygirl), Loki Laufeyson (
not_a_troll) and Kanaya Maryam (
mcfussyfangs)
What: Sleepovers and makeovers
When: Day 661? After the safety blanket event
Where: Leah's room
Rating: PG-13
Leah didn't pay attention to most of what occurred on the network. It came frighteningly close to the internet, and she'd already taken the measure of the internet and dismissed it as a collective of idiots validating each other's idiocy in an endless and vicious cycle she had no interested in contributing to. She only looked when she had nothing else to keep her occupied, and she certainly didn't bother to keep track of Loki's additions to that endless void.
Actually, that was true. Leah felt she spent enough time listening to Loki without looking for what he said to other people. Which she might have great cause to regret, if she knew what he'd been saying about her to other people, or what he'd been planning behind her back.
Case in point- Leah had no idea that he'd goaded Kanaya with tales of how terribly unfashionable she was, or plotted with her to do something about it. (As though it were Leah's fault she only had one dress!) She'd remained in perfect, blissful ignorance, enjoying the solitude after the awkwardness of feeling stuck...to him... which mostly involved sitting, in her room, and doing nothing. Just as she'd always done in her cave.
Completely unsuspecting.

"Er...if I am correct this is a fun-for-all make over instead of glaring at a certain dashing godling for things he has not done."
Finally he tries to make a soothing gesture with his hands. Actually there are no ulterior motives besides Leah getting a new dress and perhaps something fun with her hair. Of course this could backfire...
"You could at least put a little bit of trust in me, Leah. It is al just 'fun and games' and...friends."
Yes, he pouts.

Actually, that is not true. She does believe him- that's what's so unfortunate about it. She believes that he's at least telling some kind of half truth, and that this was probably one of his motives. It's just that she also believes that he has others, ones he will conveniently not mention if they get him in trouble, and it's those she doesn't trust.
"Thank you for the introduction," she said coldly. "And for meddling in my life, and tricking us both. I am sure that will give us plenty to talk about, without you."
Even though really she knew, if he hung outside the door long enough, she would end up letting him in sooner or later. Not even because she wanted to. Because it was less annoying if she did than if she didn't. But he deserved the lesson first.

"Loki, as sure as I am of your... conviction, perhaps it would be best if, in the future, you planned less unexpected surprises at the expense of your friends."
She nods, standing up and backing away, turning towards Leah and offering an apologetic look.
"Again, I'm sorry. It was not my intention to offend."
no subject
"You did nothing to offend me," she says, and she even smiles a little bit. "I am sorry that we met this way. You may come in, if you want. I don't see why this should spoil anything you had planned for the evening."

Assisting this motive are others, such as the heaviness of her things and the general manner in which Leah conducts herself being absolutely intriguing. So Kanaya lifts her machine a little higher and nods to Loki.
"I will see you later, and we will have a discussion."
Then she proceeds to slide past the small amount of space Leah has left for her to move into her apartment. Girls night it is?
We can keep going while we wait for Mari I guess
"- did he really tell you all of that?" she said, leaning against the door after it closed (just in case he tried to get in).
Kay
"That is indeed what he told me. I wouldn't have come if I thought he meant to do you harm, or inconvenience you in any way. While I do not mind meddling in the affairs of my friends in some ways, I would not do that to a stranger."
